Zion Judaica Ltd Reviews (31)

I ordered kippot for a bar mitzvah from Zion Judaica imprinted with a name/bar mitzvah date. Several kippot arrived with black markings on the suede on the inside of the kippah; 95 percent of the rest of the kippot had silver flecks over the inside. They couldn't explain what had happened because, they claimed, usually someone does quality control before kippot are sent out. They had me re-pack and ship back all 75. When I got the batch back today, they were in good shape...except they only sent 58. Again, no explanation for why, when I called they said they would make sure the rest were sent. Yes, mistakes happen but they have been completely unapologetic all along, other than offering a discount if I wanted to keep the defective batch! Most companies would have at least offered a partial refund for the inconvenience they have caused and the time I have wasted dealing with THEIR mistakes. Final blow: I got a lecture this morning from some guy there about how I had no right to be speak to him in a "preaching" way about how awful their customer service has been.

Hi,
This order was placed in November 2013 it was shipped and delivered without a word from the customer. 8 months later the customer calls and claims not to have received the package. If the customer would have called in a timely manner we could of put a trace on the package and...

gotten more info and even insurance paid by the carrier. At this point we can only go according to the tracking. Please see attached proof of delivery by Courier, she has sent it to someone besides her self.
As a courtesy we did offer the customer a 25% discount on a reorder, we can extend that to a 30% but that is more than fair.
Sincerely, [redacted]

Review: on July [redacted] I have submitted an order on the amount of $104.70, I purchased online a star of David necklace which was suppose to be shipped in a standard shipping of 3-5 days,

after I submitted the order I notice that the address was my old address in CA, which I am not there more than 2 years, I have contact the seller thru the online chat right away and also submitted an email with my correct address in MA, the next day after I also called to make sure my email is confirmed and the address is correct, [redacted] assured me that it was changed and will be shipped to MA .

I have spoke to [redacted] every other day to follow up and to make sure that the order is on the way, which she did say it was as planned.

today is the 11 business days and I have not receive my shipment.

I got a call from Zion store and the lady told me that accidentally they have shipped it to the CA address, how convenient right?

she was unpleasant and kept asking me why I put that address if I don't live there and why I cant help them to locate the necklace , I kept on saying that I do not live there more than 2 years, then a gentleman took the phone from her, and told me . quote : you know what I am sure you are a nice person to animals and to your friends but you are a horrible person and abusive person to human beings and that I can shove this necklace to my [redacted] and that he doesn't want to give me the necklace.

wow , can it get worse than that ?

I am shocked, I want to get the full refund for the undelivered service, and to make sure that everyone will know what this person said to a customer.Desired Settlement: didnt got the shipment and was insulted by the seller

Review: I ordered a product from this company (a mezuzah) in November 2013 as a wedding gift; my credit card was charged $84.48. The gift was to be sent to the couple. Some months passed before I realized that I had never received a thank you note and inquired of the couple. They told me that they had never received the mezuzah. When I inquired of the company, they told me that USPS records showed that it had been delivered. The USPS records show only that the package was dropped off; as there was no signature required, there is no actual proof of delivery. When I persisted in asking for a remedy, I was told that it was too far in the past and I should have let them know sooner, although I had explained to them that as there were 300 guests at the wedding, it was only reasonable to allow the couple some time to send their thank you notes. When I continued to persist in seeking a remedy, they offered me a 20% discount on another product. This entire dialogue was conducted via email and despite repeated requests, the person sending me the emails never identified him/herself by name or position in the company.Desired Settlement: I would like the company, which calls itself "the most trusted name in Judaica," to make good on this slogan and refund the $84.48 I paid. There is of course no remedy they can provide for my embarrassment at having the couple think all this time that I attended their wedding but did not give them a gift.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because, as I explained repeatedly to the anonymous person who emailed me from the business without any identification as to name or position, the reason that it was sent to someone else is that it was a gift. I assumed (incorrectly, as it turned out), that the package had been delivered to the intended recipient. I then allowed a reasonable amount of time for the newly-married couple to write thank you notes to their 300 guests; this is certainly standard practice for a wedding guest. When that reasonable time had passed, I inquired of the couple if they had received the gift and it was only then that I learned that they had not. The company is hardly living up to its slogan of being "the most trusted name in Judaica" by this lack of customer service. Even in their response to the Revdex.com query, they are prevaricating: I was not offered a 25% discount, but a 20% discount. I do not consider the 30% discount they are now offering a satisfactory remedy; I would like to have a refund of the $84.48 I paid. After this experience, I certainly don't find them "trust"worthy.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

At this time, I have not been contacted further by Zion Judaica Ltd regarding complaint ID [redacted].

Sincerely,

I was very hesitant to order from [redacted] after reading several bad reviews, but they had a great price and what seemed like good quality kippot. I could not be happier about ordering from them! The kippot came even quicker than we expected and the imprint was nicely done. The quality of the material was just as good as that I've seen ordered from other vendors.

I ordered in a timely matter. Package arrived on time yet was missing one very important item. I called today (12-**-2015), they said it was a mistake yet they can't overnight anything and they want me to pay (expedited shipping) for their error. Every question I asked Mindy, she would place me on hold, come back and say, "no, sorry, we can't do it." I asked to speak to a manager, none available. I asked for a manager to call back, she told me, "he is too busy to call back." I asked to speak with someone else there, she said, "I'm here alone." I asked, "why do you keep placing me on hold them as though you are asking someone a question? No answer.

The missing product is 1- 25 pack of menorahs needed for a Hanukkah party in 2 days. These guys FAILED in delivery, FAILED customer service, FAILED fairness, and they say they have been in business over 20 years yet according to Revdex.com, they opened in in 2001. This doesn't add up.

My opinion: DO NOT BUY FROM ZION JUDAICA. They have ZERO skills in resolving customer concerns which were 100% Zion Judaica's fault. Shameful

Review: I ordered a men's wedding band on 10/**/14 via phone with [redacted]. The item was supposed to take 6-8 weeks for delivery which would have placed it on my doorstep no latter than December **, 2014, in time for my wedding on 12/**/14. I made at least three phone inquiries as well as email inquiries along the way to check the status of the ring. Each time the person on the phone said, "It's on it's way." In response to my emails it was, "It's coming soon." December[redacted] came and went and when I called the last time to inquire as to why it wasn't here yet I was told, "It's in transit." When I emailed again to [redacted] responded and said it should be there the next day, as in the day after Christmas. It wasn't. It arrived on Saturday and had I been home to receive it I would have refused the package. I have emailed this company requesting a refund for the full amount of the ring, because I had to go purchase a replacement wedding band for my husband for our ceremony on the [redacted] They are refusing to refund the amount, stating it's not their policy. However, as I have been treated most unfairly and it arrived after promised 8 week allotment, I find it most unprofessional for a company to refuse funding when the error is clearly theirs. This would be my second purchase from them and now I will never purchase from them again. I have all the email inquiries and I am very displeased with their service.Desired Settlement: I would like this company to refund the entire purchase of $291.48 to my credit card. I will very gladly return the ring as it it became obsolete when it didn't arrive on time and I had to purchase a replacement.

Review: In December 2014 I bought a 925 Silver Charity Box ( US$80.00) from Zion Judaica on line, to celebrate the birth of my grandson. I had it engraved and delivered to [redacted] ( total of US142.00), and paid with debit card. 15 days later I was informed that the item I had ordered was not available anymore and could be substituted by another one of the same quality ( 925 silver). I agreed. When o piece finally arrived, it was of a much inferior quality, which they have for sale, on their site for US29.99. It is laminated, not 925 solid silver. After my complaints, [redacted] proposed a 30% discount or a refund of the US$80.00, if I returned the cheap piece from [redacted] ( more mail expenses??!!) . I could have bought a laminated box, just around the corner, in [redacted], for less than 30 dollars. What I bought from them was a much superior item! I proposed a full refund of my expenses, discounted the cheap item I received and could keep. I had no answer. I have all this information and negotiation in written, in the many exchanged emailsDesired Settlement: I want my money back. The full amount. US$ 142.00 I had spent to buy a solid silver quality piece, which was never delivered to me!

Not to mention my family's disappointment at such special occasion.

Review: I placed an order with Zion Judaica on the [redacted] of November 2014. They charged my card $80.48 (the amount of my order) the very next day, but I did not receive a shipping notice. I went to the website, [redacted] and tried to look up my order and there is no option to do so. I emailed them three times in a 24 hour period and got no response. I started to get concerned because every review I read said they are scam artists and people complained of not receiving their orders. So I called. Yesterday, November **, a lady told me that my order was shipping out that afternoon and I could call back to get the tracking info today. She also told me that they don't send out shipping notices, which is very odd. Today I called and the lady first tried to tell me that she didn't see my order yet and it would probably "appear" on her computer later today. I told her I called yesterday and the woman I spoke to saw my order and told me it was shipping out yesterday and I could get the tracking info today. She put me on hold for quite awhile. She then came back and said it was there, she just didn't see it and that it had shipped out yesterday and she gave me a tracking number for [redacted]. I got off the phone with her and checked it and it is invalid. This is the number she gave me...[redacted]. I know it hasn't been much time, but a reputable company ought to be able to give you information about a order placed, and shipping info on the same order. They were very rude when I spoke to them as well. I won't order from them again. However, I want the products I paid for.Desired Settlement: I want my order. I want the correct shipping info so I can track my order. That is just basic customer service.

Review: Ordered 80 personalized kippahs on June *, 2013 with the promise of delivery completed within 2-4 weeks. At 4 weeks contacted them and was promised I would received them in 3-4 days. It has now been another week and the items are needed no later than Thursday, July **, 2013 so that they can be used for a religious ceremony on Saturday, July **.Desired Settlement: I want them delivered no later than July ** so that I can use them as it is too late to reorder the product from another vendor

Business
