We are very sorry to hear that Mrs [redacted] is having issues with some of the repairs made to the home, but this is the first we have heard anything about itIf she would have called us before now, we would have done everything possible to take care of the situationWe will contact her and ask to visit their home to see the issues she has referenced and do what we can to accommodate her within reasonThe reality is that, like most contractors, we offer a year warranty on our workmanship, and it has been years since the repairs were madeI will also tell you that she had a total of $135,coverage on the dwelling and because of the age of the home at the time of the fire, a lot of her fixtures were depreciated as insurance will do, and the amount of money that she had to work with on some of her plumbing and lighting fixtures and her flooring was diminished because of the insurance only paying for "like, kind, and quality".We truly believe that if there were problems with our workmanship or the products used, we would have received at least one call from the [redacted] 's before now years later. As I said, though, we will make contact and do our best to accommodate her, and update this claim as soon as possible

to visit their home to see the issues she has referenced and do what we can to accommodate her within reason. The reality is that, like most contractors, we offer a 1 year warranty on our workmanship, and it has been 6 years since the repairs were made. I will also tell you that she had a total of $135,000 coverage on the dwelling and because of the age of the home at the time of the fire, a lot of her fixtures were depreciated as insurance will do, and the amount of money that she had to work with on some of her plumbing and lighting fixtures and her flooring was diminished because of the insurance only paying for "like, kind, and quality".We truly believe that if there were problems with our workmanship or the products used, we would have received at least one call from the [redacted]'s before now 6 years later. As I said, though, we will make contact and do our best to accommodate her, and update this claim as soon as possible.

Special considerations were made for Ms. [redacted] to make repairs to her laundry room first so she could regain use of that area.  Repairs to laundry room began on Saturday April 23rd and were completed on April 29th.  Trim, paint and vinyl floor replacement was completed on the 23rd so the...

room could be utilized and the remaining carpet, pad, and transition strip in the adjacent hallway was completed on the 29th. The wood floors in the kitchen had a small scratch mark that occurred during the mitigation to dry the structure.  This is an unfortunate consequence of the mitigation process and one we try to prevent.  The floors were however refinished in lieu of a simple touch up of the wood floor.  The refinishing was completed between May 9th and May 13th.  Even though care was taken when the refrigerator was reinstalled onto the hardwood floor, a small scuff was made so the floors received an additional buff and top coat on May 27th. The garage suffered the most damage from the laundry room flood as it resides directly below.  A large section of the ceiling required replacement thus all the contents in the garage required removal to (2) storage containers placed in the driveway.  Ms. [redacted] claims a scratch on her drivers side of the car occurred during the removal of the garage contents.  The day in question, Ms[redacted] car was parked behind the storage container on the left side of the driveway.  The car was parked close enough to the container that there would not be space to walk between it and the container.  The container was placed close enough to the porch steps of the house that you could not gain access to the house, or garage form the left side or drivers side of the car which is the side of the car which Ms. [redacted] claims was scratched.  All access to the garage where the work was being completed had to go between two cars parked at the end of the driveway and the two containers placed within approximately 12 feet of the garage doors.  After interviewing our personnel on site that day and analyzing the configuration in which the storage containers and Ms[redacted] car were placed, we determined it to be impossible for our personnel to have scratched the vehicle where Ms. [redacted] claims it was scratched.  Therefore we will not take responsibility for any repairs to her car.  Please see the attached photos. In regards to the damage to walls, I have not been personally be made aware of any damage prior to this Revdex.com complaint, however I would be happy to inspect the claim with the project manager assigned and make repairs where necessary. The affected carpets were cleaned by Zipco and Ms. [redacted] said they looked terrible.  She indicated on June 1st she did not want Zipco to clean them again and indicated she was going to hire another company.   If in fact the carpets are re-cleaned and Ms. [redacted] can produce a receipt for it from the other company, we will credit that portion of the job back to her. Also on June first Ms. [redacted] indicated she had performed the final clean and would not need us to complete.  We would be glad to credit this portion of the work to her as well. Contents pack back into the home was scheduled on Ms. [redacted] day off per her request which was Friday June 3rd.  Our crews arrived as scheduled however Ms. [redacted] failed to arrive so crews were sent back home. We have recently found out Ms. [redacted] removed all the contents from the storage container back into her home.  Therefore will credit the moving portion as well.  We will however not remove the storage containers until a resolution can be made regarding the final cost for repairs after the credits and payment for the work is received in full.  This has been conveyed and agreed to by Ms. [redacted] insurance adjuster whom has been made aware of all aspects of this job including everything included in this response. I would be glad to make myself available to Ms. [redacted] to review the job and bring resolution where possible.  I can be reached personally by phone at the number below. Thank you for the opportunity to reply to this complaint.   [redacted] Vice President Zipco Contracting Inc. [redacted]
