I am rejecting this response because: Although fee pricing was allegedly stated in the FAQ's I received documentation (a receipt) of what my charges would beThere was nothing listed pertaining to my specific purchaseI can submit the copies of everything I receivedNothing I received stated I should expect to be charged againAt the end of the day I, the customer, was not made aware of the chargesThat being said the charges should be considered invalid.

Zippy Shell Greater Columbus believes that we went above and beyond in making attempts to clearly provide insight into how the ZippyU program operates , what we support, when and where.  But to summarize, ZippyU offers students living in campus residence halls (on campus), the ability to store...

their stuff for the summer. However, this service is also offered to students living or moving off campus, but a special delivery/pickup fee applies. Our Terms and Conditions are very clear (see “Moving Off Campus”), stating “Customers moving off campus do not qualify for free delivery and are subject to a special delivery charge. Each student signing up for the ZippyU service, had to check a box, stating that they had read the Terms & Conditions, prior to making payment. This student can not claim that she was not aware of an off-campus redelivery attracting a charge. As the charge is franchise specific, the special delivery fee amount was listed within the OSU specific FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions) online page. Our FAQ’s are very clear )see "Can I select a specific time for my pcikup and re-delviery off campus?" under Pickup and Redelviery), sating "We can arrange for a pickup or drop off time for off campus locations, but additional $99 special delivery fee will apply".We do not dispute that this student requested an “Off-Campus” redelivery, and we willingly supported her off-campus redelivery. Further, her ZippyU account specifically requested an “Off Campus” redelivery, and had not been updated as offered and suggested in our July 27th email, in which we provided instructions on how to avoid the special redelivery fee if moving off campus (see paragraph #3), if so desired.  No ZippyU account updates were made prior to the Aug 5th cut-off for material (location and/or date) redelivery changes, and no updates were been made after this date either.    The information provided below further demonstrates our intent to be transparent and informative about the program, not to mention our willingness to provide superior customer service and support. Please note all the hyperlinked words in this response, that either provide links to online pages or pickup and redelivery map locations. Additional details provided below:- ·      On our ZippyU.com site for Ohio State University, we listed the Summer Storage Pickup schedule and the Fall Delivery schedule.  On both pages we displayed the following text:         “If you need delivery services outside of the times listed or the locations indicated on the redelivery map, a delivery option is available to you for an additional fee. Just select the “Special Delivery” option on the delivery location section of your order and we’ll coordinate getting your items back to you.”   ·      We provided clearly labeled maps that specified pickup and redelivery locations on campus, with no off-campus locations identified.  Spring pickup map - South Campus Map Fall redelivery map - OSU Map & Legend   ·      Prior to Spring pickup (April 20th), we sent the following email providing information and instructions, welcoming any questions or assistance: Summer Storage Pickup Your ZippyU Box Pickup is just around the corner! While the ZippyU service is really simple, it is IMPORTANT to ensure that your ZippyU order pickup and redelivery data is correct, before you print your packing labels.   Still don't have your storage boxes? You're in luck! We are planning one final ZippyU Box Drop-off next week. If you are unable to collect your Box kits during the designated time, ask a friend to collect your box kit, or you may collect your boxes at any of the locations and times serving scheduled Box Pickups (see table below).   Note: Final Box Drop-off will occur on Monday, April 25th at times noted below, providing you another opportunity to collect your box package kits from our Zippy Shell vehicle located at the following designated areas. Locate corresponding location marker tag on the maps below:- North Campus Map: *C* -> 3:00-3:45pm South Campus Map: *F* -> 4:00-4:45pm West Campus Map: *J* -> 5:00-5:45pm   Getting ready for Storage Pickup: Print 2 copies of your packing labels, placing a copy inside each box/item, while taping the other copy to the side of your box/item. Arrange to use OSU's large scarlet move-in/out bins to get items for storage, to your preferred Pickup location on your selected Pickup date. Reviewing the table below, locate your designated Pickup time - based on your Pickup date and location - arriving early to avoid missing your scheduled box pickup. We will be using large "Enterprise" box trucks or Zippy Shells, clearly identifiable with a ZippyU Box Pickup banner, and staff wearing ZippyU T-shirts. If we have not listed a pickup time for your pickup date and location, please notify us immediately. If the listed Pickup time is not suitable, please contact us immediately so we may attempt to accommodate change requests. Peak move-out dates have 2 pickup time options. Partnering with OSU Student Life, pickup locations are clearly indicated with yellow marker tags ("A" - "K") on the above campus maps. Summer Storage Redelivery It’s almost time for the Fall Semester! In order to ensure an efficient re-delivery of your belongings to your new dorm at OSU, we just need a little more information. Please read the following carefully, as this communication is packed with information and instructions. A final redelivery time schedule by on-campus location (used in conjunction with map link below) will be published on the OSU zippyu.com site after August 5th, when all ZippyU expected account updates have been made.   1) Review the following OSU Map & Legend, noting the on-campus location designating our redelivery area closest to your new on-campus residence hall. With few exceptions (eg. Smith Steeb Hall), the legend denotes the supported target redelivery areas by residence hall. If unsure of your assigned redelivery area, or you disagree with the redelivery area aligned with your residence hall, please reply to this email letting us know.   2) Before August 5th, please log into your account on zippyu.com, and re-verify that contact and redelivery information is correct. It is important that we have the contact information of the student so we can contact them easily during the day of redelivery, should any issues arise. Please be sure to appropriately select the “On/Off-Campus” indicator. Select “Off-campus” if you are not staying in an OSU dorm (with the exception noted below).   3) Are you moving off-campus? That is not a problem, as we provide two redelivery options! Firstly, ensure that your zippyu.com account reflects an “Off-Campus” redelivery. Then email [email protected] to schedule your special redelivery (additional fees apply). Alternatively, to avoid the off-campus special delivery fee, select “On-campus” redelivery, and collect your items at one of the designated on-campus locations, listed in the legend. After selecting a redelivery location from the map legend, update your accounts “Redelivery Dorm Room Name” field, with the associated map marker letter. e.g. “A” for redelivery to Lawrence Hall location. Note: Only those locations mentioned in the legend are supported for redelivery this fall.   4) Published redelivery schedules don’t align with your schedule? While we aim to support everybody, we know this isn’t always possible. Official ZippyU redeliveries start on August 15th, ending on August 22nd. On-campus redeliveries occur 3:00pm – 9:00pm daily, with the exception of August 20th, which occurs during the 5:00pm-11:00pm window. All off-campus special deliveries occur 9:00am-12:00pm daily, and are only made street-side (no alley access). If you absolutely need a redelivery outside of the above dates and times, email us at [email protected] to arrange for a unique special redelivery. We will do our best to accommodate your requests! No on-campus special deliveries will be accommodated on August 20th. All special deliveries incur additional cost, payable at time of making the request. 5) Check zippyu.com site regularly for On-campus and Off-campus redelivery schedule updates. Schedules can only be established once all ZippyU accounts have been updated. Redelivery times by location will be published soon after August 5th. Redelivery will be on a very tight schedule, so we appreciate your promptness at collection locations.
