I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find the resolution is satisfactory to me. I do want to note, that while it may have been out of the business' control that the lab results were delayed, it was not out of their hands to contact me and explain this. My emails and phone message were ignored until I filed this complaint, and that is not acceptable, particularly for an A-rated business and a $2400 price tag.

In response to the complaint filed by Mr. and Mrs. [redacted], the only issue at hand is the additional work requested to install metal flashing at the porch ledger board. I explained to Mr. [redacted] in writing that we would be happy to add the flashing at cost but he refused to pay the additional cost...

and is expecting me to pay the $2,500 in additional costs. As I explained to Mr. [redacted], the property has incurred significant water damage and rot and with each layer opened up, additional damage is uncovered. Mr. [redacted] stated that he does not have any additional money for the repairs and will not pay for additional costs. We installed the porch ledger board according to engineer specs which did not include flashing since the porch has a six foot covered roof. Mr. [redacted] hired another engineer who stated that flashing is required and recommend that Mr. [redacted] find another contractor to complete the project. The engineers report was nothing more than a personal attack on me and my company and in no way was a subjective report. Our position has not changed and we will be happy to install the metal flashing between the ledger board and stucco for the $2,500 cost. We are not increasing the cost and will not profit from this change order in any way but I do not feel it is my financial burden to incur considering we followed our engineer specs.If needed, I will be happy to provide the engineer specs we followed during construction, the original estimate that does not include flashing, and the report paid for by the customer which is nothing more than a subjective, personal attack in an attempt to receive free upgrades. I also have an estimate of $2,500 for the additional material and labor costs of the flashing for your reference. Please contact me if you feel these documents are required and I will be happy to provide them Thank you,
