***'s plumbing and heating was contacted in regard to fixing an outdoor faucet which was gushing water and could not be shut of*'s plumbing and heating responded by sending a plumber to my housePlumber entered my home, went into the basement and shut the valve off which stopped the flow of water to the outdoor faucetPlumber said he did not have an appropriate faucet in his vehicle to replace the faulty one on my home, but he would return in the Spring with an appropriate faucetI acknowledged that it was acceptable for him to return in the spring since I didn't need access to water outside in winterThere was no discussion about billing, but the plumber had my elderly mother sign a slip of paperThe plumber then departedweeks later I received a bill from ***'s in the amount of $The plumber was on site for minutes time and didn't properly complete the job, but I was charged $for what? October 20, 2015Dear ***,In response to your letter dated October 15, regarding [redacted] We installed a new sump pump in her residence on April 8, Approximately five months later she is claiming that the pump is not functioning properlyWe told her that we would have to look at it just as soon as our schedule permits and that we would call her to let her know when that would be [redacted] then proceeded to regularly call my office trying to force us to get there sooner than our schedule would permitThe last call she made to us included a threat that if we were not there by a certain day and time she was going to slander us on the internet and other venuesI do not take threats lightly and I will not respond to a person who reacts that way.If she wants me to personally take a look at the pump, two things must happenFirst, she must apologize for the threatSecond, she must pay her balance in full for unrelated work we did for herIf both of those conditions are met, I will gladly take a look at the pump and if a problem exists that was not caused by circumstances within the structure we will replace said pump via manufacture warrantyKeep in mind manufacturer warranty only covers the pump, labor is not coveredIf I can be of any further assistance please let me know.John Z
