Zoli Contracting Reviews (1)
Review: On 6/27/15 I signed a contract with [redacted] with Zoli Contracting to perform a capitol improvement project in my home by installing a concrete floor in the basement using fiberglass mixed concrete and gave a $1000 deposit.I had previously filed for the permits and passed inspection on 4/28/15 for the prep work that consisted on laying down stone and plastic. The inspector suggested using fiberglass concrete mix to avoid using wire as it was better and more cost effective and thats what I told [redacted] I wanted.I explained all this to [redacted] during the contract signing, where he became defiant on how was going to do the project and demanded that he talk to the inspector to question him and cut corners. The inspector got really confused and questioned what was being done.[redacted] actions forced additional work and expense by him laying down an unnecessary 2nd layer of plastic and wire for a 2nd inspection which delayed the project. So the inspector came and issued me a 2nd approval dated 6/25/15 and said all that redundant work wasnt needed just as I said to [redacted] then cancelled his set work day of June 26th because he thought it was going to rain even though the work was being done indoors and then rescheduled for Monday June 29th.On June 26th, I emailed [redacted] to let him know that I was upset with his mistakes but still was looking forward to the Mondays work. [redacted] responded June 27th and abruptly said that he was no longer going to do the work under our contract; he was terminating it and did not have my consent. We tried contacting him with messages all weekend to discuss the matter and keep him on schedule but [redacted] and his wife defiantly ignored us, refused to call us back and treated us terrible and still refuses to communicate today.[redacted] returned a partial deposit refund for $763.23 and by force is keeping $230.77 for his materials and labor he said. I asked for my full refund and to come get his material he left and he defiantly refuses and he knows his laid out wire is dangerous.Desired Settlement: I want Zoli Contracting to return my remaining full deposit amount of $230.77 and either remove his material or authorize me to disguard it.
