Review: During the transport of the vehicle from Wichita to Rehoboth, it sustained significant damage to the roof, and the left rear bumper guard was torn off. When the car arrived, the truck driver told us it was that way when he picked it up, which is not the case. We have a significant amount of photos of the car in Wichita, and theres no damage to the top, and the left rear bumper guard is in place, and undamaged. Further, several people we know examined the car prior to our purchasing it, and they stated it was in pristine condition. We also have a letter from the dealership where the car was stored, and where it was picked up by your driver, attesting to the fact that there was no damage to it upon its being picked up for shipment. The truck driver wanted to initially deliver the car to us on Friday night as approximately 10pm, and then again at 11:30pm. We told him we couldnt accept the car for the following reasons: (i) it was dark, and we wouldnt sign off on anything we couldnt see; (ii) it was raining heavily, in fact it was a raging thunderstorm; and (iii) the home owners association has rules concerning noise between the hours of 9pm and 9am. Also, the driver had attempted to hide the damages by painting over the damages with dark brown paint, and the car is metallic black. When we showed him photos of the car in Wichita, he then admitted that it had in fact been damaged by him during its transport. He refused to give us the name of your company, and he refused to let me note the damages on the shipping paperwork. Wednesday the 07th of August, 2013, I FAXd him a letter (copy accompanies, as well as the FAX cover page, and the confirmation page) agreeing to accept the lower of the two written estimates, the one for one thousand one hundred forty dollars ($1,140.00), as payment in full, and upon receipt of that amount, releasing your company from any further obligation or liability pertaining to this matter. as of today, weve not yet received this agreed-upon payment.Desired Settlement: Payment of one thousand one hundred forty dollars ($1,140.00), which is the agree-upon amount for the repairs for the car based upon the written estimate from a body shop, submitted to, and accepted by, the trucking company.
