Review: On May ** I was unable to go into my emails on my PC and I was directed to call this service ####-###-####. I talked to a technician named [redacted] ID#[redacted] He told me my PC was infected with viruses and said he worked for ZONFIX INFO SOLUTIONS which was a third party company hired by Microsoft to clear out viruses on PC. He showed me the website for ZONFIX INFO SOLUTIONS; their email and street address and business phone ####-###-####. He told me his ph.# was different b/c he worked in service. He told me the business # was for sales only. He supposedly cleaned out my computer of viruses for a one time and (life time of PC) tech service charge of $417.99(incl. taxes). He also stated I needed to download Microsoft Security Essentials protection for life time of my PC which could be transferred to a new PC at a charge of $228.99. Both these charges were put on my credit card. After I got off the phone with [redacted], I discovered the email address, website to contact company, and business phone number were fraudulent. I also discovered the company's address was listed out of the country and more viruses were on my computer. I also discovered I get Microsoft Security Essentials for free on my PC from Microsoft. I will contact my credit card company to cancel the charges and send them a description of the fraudulent transactions.Desired Settlement: A total of $646.98 in charges should be refunded on my Master Credit Card ending in [redacted].
