This is a response to the letter submitted on October 30, by a person who is not a patient of record at our officeOur office feels that this letter is erroneous and disingenuous. It is unfortunate and saddens us to hear that the accuser is accusing our office of medical
discrimination. Our office maintains the highest ethical standards and has a long history of the charitable work inside and outside the United States to all people, participation with many local charities, and one of the only dental offices in the area that accepts Medicaid for children. The fact is, just like all professional offices, we are unable to continue to provide services to patients that miss scheduled appointments without any notification to our office. Two patients, children of the plaintiff, were dismissed from our office due to violating our office's policy on canceled/missed appointments. Four hours of confirmed scheduled appointments were missed, taking up the professional time of our doctors and preventing other patients from accessing care during these times.The accusation of medical discrimination and/or wrongdoing is disingenuous because the accuser: is not a patient of record at our office (we don't know her medical history), at no time contacted our office to cancel/change the appointments, and never contacted us to make us aware of her medical condition until after we dismissed her family from the practice. Normally, patient complaints of this magnitude would be dealt with in a private manner, but because of the accusations contained in the letter submitted to the Revdex.com, we feel that we had to respond with the reasons for our actions.If the patient will waive her and her children's rights to HIPAA, we will release all documents, emails, phone records, and notes containing correspondence showing that her accusations of not responding to her are dishonest.
