The *** came into the agency to complete insurance
applications
for their new policies. They had already provided information except on an old truck
that they had in storage. I took a copy of their current policy and told them I would
work on a policy for that vehicle. The current policy listed that truck on itI emailed the truck application for them to sign and get back to
me. I did not receive the application back for a few days and we
were getting very close to the old policies expiration date. I emailed asking the *** if they had mailed the
application yet. They assured me that they had (I do have their email stating
that). I waited a few more days and I still had not received the
application in the mail. I called the *** to tell them I had still not received
the application. I asked them some additional questions about the truck. I asked them who’s name the truck was titled in and everyone
who would drive the truck. They said they didn’t know exactly who’s name the truck was
titled in. The second time they told me that in was titled in their son’s
name, who is not a named insured on the policy. I told them that there were two options for the policy that
I could write for them. One was to write the policy in the son’s name because he was
the owner of the truck. They didn’t like that option because the son has violations
on his driving record and the policy would cost more. I told them that they could have the truck re-titled into one
of their names because they were the named insured on the policy. They told me that their other agent let them have it on their
policy. I told them that I wouldn’t be able to write the policy that
way because they were not the owner of the truck. The insurance companies that I work with do not allow people
to insure things they do not own. I never told them anything that was not true, in fact I felt
mislead about who the owner of the truck was. The *** asked that all policies written with our agency
be canceled, which I did the same day
The *** were refunded a pro-rated refund based on the effective and cancellation
dates

That still does not explain why they took money or charged money our charge card without my knowledge and without a signed policy in their possession. I did have the policy and it was signed and ready to go out then I found out money was already taken out and was told information I did not know about policy holders names on titlesSo I then took the policy out of the outgoing mail

This does not answer my complaint. My compliant was the fact that they went ahead and put a policy in place and charged my account for it when I did not sign for it
The claim is incorrect, the old policy was due to expire and the client assured us that the application had already been mailed to usPlease see emails that I will copy and paste below
I only made the new policy effective after this email
The policies have all been canceled and the various insurance companies have issued refunds for the pro-rated amountsAt this point there isn't anything left that we can doSubject: Re: Truck Application
