March 14, 2016Dear [redacted] ***:I write in reply to the March 8, letter and complaint I received from The Revdex.com (Revdex.com) [redacted] filed the complaint.On January 13, 2016, [redacted] contacted my office through the Montgomery Bar Association's Lawyer Referral Service [redacted] scheduled three appointments with my office for a consultationEach of the three appointments was confirmed by email and my assistant sent [redacted] directions to our office, which is our standard practice.The first appointment was scheduled for February 3, 2016, which was rescheduled at [redacted] ***'s request, and the second on February 10, [redacted] sent an email to me at 9:47PM on February 9, 2016, and cancelled that appointment.For the third appointment, I requested payment in advance from [redacted] ***I charged him $for a half hour consult, which is the agreed upon fee through Lawyer Referral Service, [redacted] ***'s third appointment was scheduled for February 25, at 3:00PMAt 2:50PM on February 25, 2016, [redacted] called my office and said that he could not locate the? parking lotMy assistant stayed on the telephone with him for several minutes and tried to give directionsDuring the conversation, [redacted] ***'s cell phone cut off and we tried to call him back twiceHe did not answer his cell phone and did not call my office back [redacted] did not come to my office,? I immediately issued a check to [redacted] to refund his $My assistant requested that [redacted] confirm his mailing address and sent him a copy of the refund check [redacted] confirmed his address on Friday, February 26, at 5:38PMMy assistant placed the refund check in the mail to [redacted] on Monday, March 3, My bank confirms that [redacted] deposited the check on March 7, 2016.I enclose photocopies of all email correspondence with [redacted] ***, the refund check, and the copy of the cancelled check.Please call me if you require anything further.Sincerely yours,BARBARA Z
