The gift cards were not fraudulent and were purchased from highly reliable websitesZumiez's website has no information regarding the prohibition of using gift cards purchased from third-party websitesThe key issue here is that Zumiez took all the balances of the gift cards I applied for my order and canceled the order without recharging those balances back to the gift cardsIn other words, this is simply an act of irresponsibility with no attempt in providing a reasonable solution to this caseThe current response is not satisfactory, and please reconsider and propose an alternative solution to this issue.

We are in receipt of your letter to us dated August 9, 2016 regarding complaint ID [redacted].  Our response to this matter is as follows.  We responded to the customer on July 17, 2016 and informed the customer that their order was canceled because the gift cards that were attempted to be...

uses for payment of the order were fraudulent.  The gift card was not authorized and was not purchased from Zumiez.  We advised the customer to contact the third party gift card seller that they obtained the fraudulent gift card from.  Please let me know if you have any questions or if we can assist in any other manner.  Thank you and best regards, Chris V[redacted], Zumiez

The gift cards in question were not purchased from Zumiez and are unable to be validated. The customer's complaint is with the website they purchased the cards from, which has no affiliation with Zumiez and no authorization to sell our gift cards.

I have contacted the customer at the phone number provided and left a message with my contact information. I have not heard back from him at this time. The customer may call customer care at [redacted] and they will be able to provide a gift card to a mailing address he provides.

I am rejecting this response because: I contacted my bank and was told the refund was rejected on the 31 of October 2016. The reason being, is that the account is closed. Is there another way to issue this refund? Please feel free to contact me at [redacted].

Hi [redacted], I'm sorry your shoes arrived in that condition. I have seen the photos and the box is certainly destroyed. I believe the offer of 25% was provided based on the fact that the shoes only had slight discoloration on the bottom, it looks like it could have been from the tissue paper....

Regardless, they should have been packaged properly for shipping and were not. I have processed a refund of 50% of the purchase price of the shoes to your account. Please allow your bank 3-5 days to get that credited to your account. Please let us know if we can help any further.
