This e-mail correspondence shall be a direct response to the second Revdex.com response by Mrs*** on January 8, ZZONE Construction has been attempting to work with the ***s on separate occasionsI have personally spoken to Mrs*** once and we discussed the plan of action moving forward ZZONE Construction immediately called our licensed subcontractor, *** *** of *** Roofing His company ran two (2), extensive water tests on the ***s roof The first water test was conducted by a foreman of Mr***’s company and the second was performed by *** *** himself while the homeowner, *** *** was present with himThere were no visual signs of leakage inside the house on both water tests Pursuant to the second water test with Mr*** and the homeowner, they both verbally and specifically agreed that they would wait until any other challenges or rains would occur in order to identify the possibility of a leakThe agreement was that Mror Mrs*** was to call *** *** directly once any other occurrence was to surfaceThe ***’s never once reached out to Mr*** and ZZONE Construction and *** *** were never notified of any outstanding circumstances since that last meeting with Mr*** and Mr***. This roof is under our warranty and we have and will continue to warranty our work from 4/28/through 4/28/ Neither ZZONE construction nor *** *** *** is denying the possibility of a water leakHowever, due to the lack of any initial findings after our inspections and tests, as well as the inability of the ***s’s to contact either ZZONE Construction or *** Roofing, ZZONE construction cannot and will not be liable for any other work than its own Mr& Mrs*** needs to call ZZONE Construction or *** *** upon the next rains that we receive Upon that phone call from the ***’s, we will have someone out there immediately to identify and fix any problems related to our work. We welcome working with the ***’s and we are still standing by for the ***’s call should any warranty work be necessary

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Before ZZone Construction replaced our roof in June 2011, we had NEVER had a roof leak in our house. A representative from ZZone Construction came to our door in April 2011 stating that quite a few of our neighbors were having their roofs replaced due to damage caused by the Oct 2010 hail storm. They offered to inspect our roof for damage.  They informed us that we had ‘dimples’ in our shingles and that we should have our roof replaced. My husband and I contacted our insurance company who came out and verified that we did qualify to have our roof replaced.  We then contacted ZZone representative to sign the contract and begin work. We signed the final lien waiver on 11/7/2011 after the subcontractor came out to fix minor problems with the flashing and painting.   On December 15, 2011, we contacted ZZone Construction after noticing bubbling in our dining room ceiling and water dripping onto our dining room table. ZZone sent out a representative, [redacted], to tarp our roof and then came later in the week to ‘fix’ the problem. This problem has NEVER been fixed. We have had ZZone out to our home multiple times over the last 3 years relating to this SAME problem in the SAME area. In fact, the last time they came out to ‘fix’ this area, they left the ceiling unpainted after having to retexture it due to water damage. According to the letter by [redacted], there is a five (5) year material warranty and a two (2) year labor warranty. This problem occurred within 4 months of the initial installation and has NEVER been fixed properly.According to the letter written by [redacted], ZZone Construction sent their subcontractor out after this last rain, September 8, 2014, and that they performed an invasive water test.  This is false. [redacted] from [redacted] came to our house two weeks after the incident occurred, inspected the roof, and informed my husband that he would be back to do a water test the following week but never returned. My husband contacted [redacted] the following week to inform him that [redacted] never returned to perform the water test.  Tony informed him that he would contact [redacted] and have him contact us.  We have not heard from anyone since then.  My husband and I have tried numerous times since to contact ZZone Construction, [redacted], and [redacted].  We have left messages yet have not received a return phone call from anyone.      After this last rain, we contacted our insurance company to come out and inspect the area for a possible claim.  We were informed that the roof leak was due to poor workmanship on behalf of who installed our roof in 2011 and that we could not file a claim for damages.  We had a water restoration company come out on September 8th to assess the damage to our attic and ceiling.  They removed damaged insulation from our attic and stated that it looked like the water was coming from under the paper that the roofers installed.  They stated that they see this a lot when the paper under the shingles is not attached properly or has dropped down and the water is able to go under the paper.  We are requesting an independent [redacted] company, of our choice, to come out to our home and assess the damage and what repairs are needed.  If it is found that the leak is due to poor workmanship on behalf of ZZone Construction and their affiliates, we would like ZZone Construction to cover all costs of the repairs.

To whom it may concern:
ZZone Construction removed and replaced a [redacted] system back in June 27, 2011.  The scope of work for this job was specifically related to the October 5, 2010 catastrophic hail storm that occurred on the October 5th date.  This job was contracted as an...

insurance claim project.  Therefore, all necessary repairs outside of wear and tear and property depreciation was not covered by the [redacted]’s insurance company. The scope of work was contracted as a “like for like” [redacted] system without any upgrades that the insurance company dictated per the claim that the insurance company paid for. The [redacted]’s did not pay anything outside of the insurance proceeds they received from their insurance company other than there deductible.
All work was approved and signed off on by the [redacted]’s upon completion of the insurance claim work.  The [redacted]s have a five (5) years material warranty and a two (2) year labor warranty.  Final invoice for the job was on August 23, 2011.
ZZONE Construction continues to do the right thing for its customer and continues to send out its sub- contractor and its own personnel every time the [redacted]’s call with any questions or challenges in a timely manner. Considering that this labor warranty has expired, ZZONE construction does not charge the [redacted]’s for any trip charges even though we are outside of the contractor’s labor warranty.
Pursuant to the last set of heavy rains that we have experienced in the last 30 days, ZZone Construction again went out to the [redacted]’s home without any charges to as the damages that were being claimed by a faulty roof.  After the rains and after the roof was completely dry, we sent our sub-contractor out to perform an invasive water test to the [redacted] system to see if we could get the roof to leak. It “Did Not”.

Our sub-contractor, [redacted] Roofing, took an educated guess and informed the [redacted]’s at the time of this testing that the water must be getting in through the roof vents or through the roof flashings. Both of which the insurance company did not pay to remove or replace nor was it part of our scope of work.  It was “Not” due to a faulty roof. [redacted] advised them to call them directly should they have any other issues in the near future.
Quite frankly, we are scratching our heads on our end because we have been extremely responsive to the [redacted]’s needs and requests every time they call. The conversations are always pleasant.  ZZone Construction continues to stand by its work and we continue to assist the [redacted]’s with whatever they will need now and into the near future.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
