We are very happy that we chose California Pools as the company to construct our dream backyard. [redacted] was amazing with his insight and helpfulness. It was a pleasure to work with the rest of the team as well.

I used to use the neighborhood pool guys. After I have used local repair people I would have things broken or nt fix. After multiple visits from local pool people I decided to go back to our builde California Pools. Even though they are more expensive they only come out once,things are fixed and the job is excellant. I will continue to use them in the future for all my pool needs thank you

It's been 2+ years since our pool was built by CP. It's only about 10K gallons but anyone who sees it always have a very positive thing to say.

I inquired of Dave G[redacted] for his suggestion on where to find replacement covers used on the pool they built for us a few years ago... as always, he was more than helpful... I received an email from Shelly Z[redacted] and she bent over backward to provide us superior service and the parts we needed... I recommend this company without reservation...

face="Times New Roman" size="3">California Pools & Landscape investigated the cause of your pebble degradation. Our finding is that the pebble has extensive degradation due to improper chemical balances. This is caused by the water eating and etching into your pebble interior. Here are the results of our testing:
Chlorine 8.0
PH 5.0
Alkalinity unable to test accurately due to improper water chemistry
Conditioner level over 150
Hardness not able to test accurately due to improper water chemistry
Acidic water along with improper water chemistry balances cause the water to pull mineral from the pebble interior cement causing the pebble to spald or fall off. The condition of the pebble interior is due to the water being unbalanced for long periods of time.  It is the homeowner's responsibility to maintain proper chemical balances. The lifetime pebble material warranty doesn't include damage from improper maintenance. Regardless of the condition of the pool the labor is not included in the Lifetime Warranty and would not be covered in any case. As a customer service, California Pools & Landscape will offer to redo the interior at a discounted rate for labor & materials. Great company. Have had CA pool for 3 years. Very happy with all the work and when I called asking for help- they responded immediately and solved my issue within 1 day.

Please be advised that all Revdex.com complaints are escalated to senior management for response. Back in 2007 when you originally called us you were not eligible for a warranty transfer due to the property being a foreclosure sale. It has always been company policy to not transfer warranties on foreclosed properties.  This why the employee did not discuss this option with you. California Pools offered you a 1 year warranty on the pool equipment because the pool equipment was still under the manufacturer's warranty and it cost California Pools nothing to extend this to you. Even though we had no contractual obligation to warranty your equipment we did so as a courtesy.California Pools & Landscape is not going to extend the warranty on this pool or absorb the cost of repairs. We will however offer to assist you through the repair process. If you would like to schedule a site meeting to discuss the costs of the repairs I will be happy to arrange.

It has been a total negative experience working with this company. I want to save someone else the hassle of dealing with them.

I was told by the very convincing salesman that yes, they cost much more (in my case 6000 more than other estimates) but I would be dealing with a professional pool company with professional people and it would be worth it. Clearly its not

Here is my problem. They do not regard their customer as a customer. I don't know about you, but I work for a living at a regular job. I cannot just drop everything I am doing to go home and provide access to the job site. I requested that I get notification either the day before or the morning of that someone was coming to perform a task. On 4 separate occasions now I was called and told to get down to my house and open the job site. One time it was for an inspection by the project coordinator so they could get their check. One time the contractor showed up with absolutely no notice. I was heading for the shower when the rang the doorbell

After episode 3 of this, I raised the issue up two levels of management (level one blew me off saying contractors are difficult to schedule), and was told that yes, this is wrong, and we will fix it. I was told by the director of projects that we work for you, you don't work for us.

Evidently I work for him, because he himself did it to me as well.

Add in the fact that their contractors routinely left food messes on my job site, the first contracting coordinator took pool parts of out the pool where they were safe and left them in a location where my dog proceeded to treat them as a snack, the project coordinator tried to force the salt system out of the container it was in (okay it might have already been broken, but still), and the inability to place an order for tile and get it filled, but instead try to convince me to make another tile choice after three weeks from order date, tells me this company is not one to be used.

I don't care how good the quality of the finished pool is. I wasted 6000 dollars that I could have spent on another house upgrade. They do not treat their customers with respect. Avoid them at all costs. They are not people of their word.

My husband and I cannot say enough great things about this company!!! From the beginning every appointment was kept and on time. Everyone of their workers was unfailingly professional and courteous.

At no time was our property disrespected and was always tidied up before leaving for the day.

To say we are happy with the project and the final result, would certainly be a understatement! Why anyone would choose another pool company is beyond me!

A special shout out to [redacted], our foreman! He kept the job on target and within the prices quoted!

We hope this company stays in business for many, many years!

My experience has been very positive with CalPools. As I continue to do small tweaks to my custom pool which was completed in 2015, Mike S[redacted] the principal has taken a personal interest in my not normal custom pool and has been responsive to all my needs. Everything is answered promptly and politely by the entire staff. I myself am a contractor in NM and understand all the logistics of projects and the dynamics that they include. With any project there are problems that arise (I call them adjustments). I felt that was Calpools mindset as well. I have been treated very fairly and recommend them. On a final note, all pools have to go into start up and be trouble shot to get them fully functional and operational. The person that did the work for me was Jesse R[redacted]. What a professional, level headed, service orientated and polite individual. I have over 8 water features with associated pumps and programming. Jesse did a remarkable job getting us up and going and as things have needed tweaking he is always there including my latest addition of adding two heat/cool pumps from Hayward. Pool is staying at 87 degrees consistent now both summer and fall.

Lastly I can attest to not use Shasta Pools for any reason as they were my first pool contractor who took my deposit money designed my original concepts and then never showed up or responded.

Management meet with Ms. [redacted] today for approximately three hours. All items addressed in her complaint will be repaired to her satisfaction by 8/26/2015. Thank you

California pools was one of MANY companies that we met with for a consultation to build our dream pool. We ultimately decided to go with California pools because of their amazing reviews and our sales guy Robbie. Robbie made us feel like we were going to get everything we wanted and got us excited for the process from the beginning.
Throughout the process we met Sean our construction manager who was beyond helpful and went out of his way to make the process as smooth as possible. Sean bent over backward and went above and beyond his duties to make sure that we were happy. After the Shotcrete was poured we were not going to be home to keep it watered so Sean came to the house and set up a sprinkler on a timer just so we wouldn’t have to worry. We were super impressed.
Sandra the scheduler was another person that made the pool building process spectacular for us. She answered countless phone calls and questions with the best attitude and sincere compassion. She had us up to date on every single thing that was going to be happening and a precise timeline. The sales manager Darren also met with us toward the end of construction just to make sure we were happy and that everything was going smoothly.
The pool is now done and it looks AMAZING we are so happy with the quality of materials and service. We have already recommended California pools to a friend who is currently in the building process and will continue to refer in the future. Thank you California pools for turning our dreams into a reality!!!

The trees will be replaced on Monday the 5/11/2015. Thank you

California Pools exceeded our expectations every step of the way. Our final product turned out better that we even imagined.
