My husband and I cannot say enough great things about this company!!! From the beginning every appointment was kept and on time. Everyone of their workers was unfailingly professional and courteous.

At no time was our property disrespected and was always tidied up before leaving for the day.

To say we are happy with the project and the final result, would certainly be a understatement! Why anyone would choose another pool company is beyond me!

A special shout out to [redacted], our foreman! He kept the job on target and within the prices quoted!

We hope this company stays in business for many, many years!

California Pools made our pool building experience fun and informative from start to finish. We have never built a pool before and Jeremy helped us every step of the way. He had many different options for us to consider. One option that we did was the wave force cleaning system. I could be more pleased. Our last pool we had that we didn't have built had the in floor "pop ups." They were useless I still had to vacuum all the time. I have only had to vacuum once after a dust storm. We also decided on their deck product the [redacted] which we absolutely love they are cooler then regular pavers. They were able to lay them right over our existing patio which makes the entire decking match. We used them to also do our landscaping which looks amazing. Everyone at California pool keep us well informed through the entire process and they did everything they said they would. Thank you for creating our dream backyard that we will enjoy for many years to come.

Review: California Pools built my pool in July of 2000. Since being built, I've had California Pools repair cracks in my pebbletec with no problems or issues. My warranty clearly states that the shell and interior pebble tec are warrantied for life. I currently have two more cracks in the pebbletec. I called to have California Pools come repair again, but was told warranty has been changed because "Hundreds of thousands of dollars were being spent to fix problem".I'm now being told my warranty is not recognized and I should have received something in the mail years ago. Well, I didn't.Desired Settlement: California Pools to honor their warranty and fix the large cracks in my pool.

Response:

The warranties that are on the customer’s contract written in 2000 are still valid and have not been altered. The shotcrete shell of the pool is warrantied for the life of the pool to the original owner. This in detail means that the shotcrete shell of the pool will maintain its ability to hold water and not leak. Any structural issues related to

the shell of the pool will be repaired at no cost to the homeowner by California Pools.

The Pebble Tec warranty comes from the manufacturer of the product, Pebble Technologies, and states that the pebble material will be free of any defects in the product

itself for the lifetime of the pool. The cracks that are in the pool are not due to any defects in the shell of the pool or defects in the materials of the pool. They are due to movement of the deck which causes a crack in the Pebble Tec directly underneath the cantilever edge of the deck. This can be repaired with minimal inconvenience. The materials will be provided free of cost to the homeowner per the lifetime warranty however the labor will be a chargeable service as the pool is beyond the contractual 3 year workmanship warranty. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any further questions.

I inquired of Dave G[redacted] for his suggestion on where to find replacement covers used on the pool they built for us a few years ago... as always, he was more than helpful... I received an email from Shelly Z[redacted] and she bent over backward to provide us superior service and the parts we needed... I recommend this company without reservation...

It has been a total negative experience working with this company. I want to save someone else the hassle of dealing with them.

I was told by the very convincing salesman that yes, they cost much more (in my case 6000 more than other estimates) but I would be dealing with a professional pool company with professional people and it would be worth it. Clearly its not

Here is my problem. They do not regard their customer as a customer. I don't know about you, but I work for a living at a regular job. I cannot just drop everything I am doing to go home and provide access to the job site. I requested that I get notification either the day before or the morning of that someone was coming to perform a task. On 4 separate occasions now I was called and told to get down to my house and open the job site. One time it was for an inspection by the project coordinator so they could get their check. One time the contractor showed up with absolutely no notice. I was heading for the shower when the rang the doorbell

After episode 3 of this, I raised the issue up two levels of management (level one blew me off saying contractors are difficult to schedule), and was told that yes, this is wrong, and we will fix it. I was told by the director of projects that we work for you, you don't work for us.

Evidently I work for him, because he himself did it to me as well.

Add in the fact that their contractors routinely left food messes on my job site, the first contracting coordinator took pool parts of out the pool where they were safe and left them in a location where my dog proceeded to treat them as a snack, the project coordinator tried to force the salt system out of the container it was in (okay it might have already been broken, but still), and the inability to place an order for tile and get it filled, but instead try to convince me to make another tile choice after three weeks from order date, tells me this company is not one to be used.

I don't care how good the quality of the finished pool is. I wasted 6000 dollars that I could have spent on another house upgrade. They do not treat their customers with respect. Avoid them at all costs. They are not people of their word.

I just had my second California pool built and I can't wait to get in. I hate to say this but hurry up summer. Everyone was so nice and informative. The girls in the office were so helpful when it was time to pick my tile color and pebble color. The crews always showed up when they said they would and cleaned up after themselves every time!! I would never think of having anyone but CP build my pool and they proved that again.
