It also stated this on the invoice she used to send in her payment.We apologize for her misunderstanding and will be happy to refund her payment of 39.50 which will be sent out today 01/04/16 (check# [redacted]).

ALSO CHECKED WITH THE PUBLISHER AND HIS ORDER IS BEING PROCESSED. IT DOES TAKE THEM APPROXIMATELY 8 TO 12 WEEKS TO POST AN ORDER TO A CUSTOMERS ACCOUNT. WE HAVE CANCELLED HIS ORDER AND WILL ISSUE A REFUND WHICH WILL GO OUT TOMORROW APRIL 10TH. THANK YOUJ&B ASSOCIATES

I have a subscription with a magazine. It's paid in full and I'm happy with it. I continually get an 'invoice' from J&B Associates. Which usually starts with '4TH NOTICE!!' or "FINAL NOTICE". And has all the indications of a bill or debt.
Lost on this page it says 'subscription offer'. It's clearly a scam, they have ZERO affiliation with any magazine companies. And are simply trying to frighten people into paying bills that don't exist.
The fact they have a B+ rating on Revdex.com when they have 11 negative reviews is strange.
BUYER BEWARE.

In early September, I received a phone call asking if I would like to renew my [redacted] subscription. I have been a subscriber for more than 20 years and assumed I was talking to a representative of the magazine. I agreed to renew. Several weeks later, I received a mailing from J & B Associates, P.O. Box 125, Gilbert AZ 85299, demanding $35 for 58 issues of [redacted]. It became clear to me that it was J & B Associates, not [redacted], that had called me. I am not making a payment to J & B Associates and instead am trying to reach the circulation department at [redacted]. Have you encountered other complaints about J & B Associates? Is this company authorized to solicit renewals for [redacted]? Thank you.

SUBSCRIPTIONS CAN TAKE 8 TO 12 WEEKS TO START ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS NOT PRINTED MONTHLY. HER PAYMENT WAS RECEIVED AUG 8TH 2014 AND THE SUBSCRIPTION WAS DUE TO START IN NOVEMBER. As with other reviews posted here, I was contacted by phone asking me to renew my subscription to a magazine to which I subscribe. The way the person talked, I thought the company was associated with the magazine itself, but have since found out that J & B Associates were the ones calling me and that they are not connected to the magazine itself. I told them I would not renew over the phone and to send me an invoice by mail. When they did this, I saw that the invoice was from J & B Associates and got suspicious. I called the magazine directly and renewed my subscription (for a much lower price). I kept the invoice without doing anything for a while and received 2 more invoices from them over the following month. Given that I had already renewed, it became clear that J & B Associates was separate from the magazine. I finally called J & B Associates directly to get them to stop mailing me invoices. I spoke with a lovely, polite woman and explained that I had already renewed directly with the magazine. She canceled my order. The whole call took just a few minutes, and I consider the issue resolved. On the basis of this, I would say I had no difficulty fixing the problem, but I would warn others that what I heard on the original phone call made me think I was on the path to renewing my current subscription with the magazine, whereas in fact I was agreeing to receive a "subscription offer" (as the invoice stated) that was with a different company at a higher price.

I would nevertheless like to go on the record as stating that I am well aware that this was and likely continues to be a scam and that this so-called subscription would NOT be provided by JB Subscriber, and for them to state that it is any sort of "Subscription Offer" is patently false. Their phone number is set up to take complaints and resolve them for consumers who realize that a scam has been perpetrated on them. The legitimate [redacted] Magazine disavows this practice. I realize that this practice will not stop due to my complaint but again state that the practice is fraudulent and morally reprehensible to attempt to defraud the good will of customers and likely also elderly citizens. Thank you for your attention to resolving this matter satisfactorily.
