J&S was great to work with throughout the process of having a new roof installed. Everyone we came in contact with was honest, polite, considerate, fast, efficient and knowledgeable. The roof looks great, everything was cleaned up when they were done. Highly recommend these folks for roof replacement.

J&S Renovations is an amazing company with very skilled people working for them. It was the most hassle free experience I have ever had with a company. They came out and did a free inspection then sat down with us and explained our options and what to expect. They worked with our insurance company and were on site when the insurance adjuster came out. The roofers showed up 2 days early and were finished with the entire roof in about 9 hours. Not only did they finish quickly, but they also cleaned up and made sure to get all the staples and nails that were dropped. They also fixed the drain pipe on the ac unit without us asking and at no extra charge. I would highly recommend this company.

J&S Renovations is great! Issac the Rep worked with my insurance and got the process rolling. He was very friendly and took the worry away about the roof. They tore old roof down and put up the new one in 1 DAY!! The labors were punctual and clean....not 1 nail was left on the ground. My roof looks beautiful! J&S Renovations were soliciting in my area to do free inspections after severe thunderstorms. I made an appointment and they showed up an hour after the appointment, well after dark. The inspector named [redacted] apologized, the previous individual had lost my phone number so [redacted] did not call me to explain why he was running late. He rescheduled for the next day at 3:00pm to do the inspection. The next day by 4:30, [redacted] was still a no-show and there was never a call explaining the delay.
Any company that is so unprofessional that they cannot even keep their inspection appointments is not a business I wish to do something as important as repair or replace my roof.

We would like to share the experience we have had so far with J & S Renovations. We are currently in the process of full tear down and replacement of our roof and would like to share that this process has been 100% painless. Our representative, [redacted] has been a pleasure to work with. He has taken on all communication with our insurance company which has enabled us to obtain a new roof with no hardship on our side. [redacted] is quick to respond to any an all questions and we look forward to realizing the final result of his work and that of the team of laborers who will be tearing down the old and installing the new roof.

BUYER BEWARE! Highly suspect this company J & S Renovations is not all that it claims to be. Would recommend doing your homework before hiring. I did and DID NOT hire this company. Out of spite and retalation their consulant called my insurance company in an attempt to block my insurance claim for roof damage. Neither Consulant nor J & S Renovations LLC were authorized to call my Insurance company. Very unprofessional behavior!

This company is on the best companies in Arizona they're fast clean customer service is great very nice people in the company as well.

The representative was friendly & took time to thoroughly answer any questions I had. They completed the work within one day & did not leave any debris behind. Very pleased with the services I received!

Review: Timeline of events with our experience with J&S Renovations LLC

On July 4, 2015, a representative from J&S Renovations LLC, [redacted], came to our home to discuss filing a claim for damage to our roof due to hail damage on June 30, 2015. Collectively, we called our insurance company, [redacted], to have an adjuster come and look at the roof.

On July 17, 2015, [redacted] was finally able to come to our home to review the damage and did approve the claim. It must also be noted that the adjuster from [redacted] highly suggested that we seek other estimates from other companies as well.

On July 23, 2015, a check was received from [redacted], endorsed to us, the owners, and [redacted] (the mortgage holder).

On July 24, 2015, the same check was sent to [redacted] via [redacted] at a cost of $9.33 to be endorsed by [redacted] and eventually sent back to us.

On July 31, 2015, a letter was received by us, from [redacted], that they would need the following three items before proceeding with the repair. The documents were as follows:

-Affidavit of Bills Paid and Release of Liens by Contractor

-W9 for the LLC completing the work

AND

-Copy of the Contractor's Estimate

On July 31, 2015, [redacted] from J&S Renovations LLC, was notified via telephone about the check being sent to [redacted] for endorsement, that [redacted] was needing the W9 for J&S Renovations, the estimate from J&S Renovations and to complete their portion of the Affidavit of Bills Paid and Release of Liens by Contractor.

On August 3, 2015, we had the Affidavit of Bills Paid and Release of Liens by Contractor notarized so it would be ready to be completed by J&S as soon as the W9 and Estimate was received from them.

On August 7, 2015, the check from [redacted] was finally received and was deposited into our Savings account on August 8, 2015.

On August 11, 2015, [redacted] called at 5:33pm to see if we had received the check from [redacted] and if yes, could he come and pick it up. I stated that we had and it was deposited into our account. I asked if he had the documents that I needed to send to [redacted].

It was at this time that [redacted] belittled my wife and I and told us we did not know what we were doing. That no one would need an estimate and he had never heard of anyone needing a W9 before. I told him that I was not stupid and that I was following the instructions of my Mortgage company, [redacted]. He continued to belittle and talk down to me and my wife.

I told him that if he wanted our business, he would need to have the completed W9 and Estimate to us by noon, August 12, 2015. At 6:34pm, [redacted] called to say he would be by to complete and estimate. It must be noted that this was TWELVE calendar days from which [redacted] was first asked to complete an estimate for [redacted].

August 11, 2015 continued. [redacted]et with the poor customer service, and with the recommendation of our insurance company, [redacted], we sought other estimates. Upon further review, are seeking help with OUR home elsewhere.

On August 12, 2015, [redacted] finally completed the task of sending me an email. The email was never opened so I cannot confirm or deny that the correct documents were sent.

On August 15, 2015, we the customers, have decided that we no longer wish to have J&S Renovations LLC complete the task of repairing our roof.

August 16, 2015, [redacted] called to set up a time to come over to discuss finalizing the repair of our roof. I called him back at 10:53am to inform that his services were no longer needed and we would be going in a different direction. [redacted] would not take no for an answer and I proceeded to hang up on him.

At 10:55am, Abel called back and I proceeded to tell him that he was fired from this job.

Effective immediately on August 16, 2015 at 10:55am [redacted] and J&S Renovations are fired due to poor customer experience, inability to provide needed documentation in a timely manner, harassment and threats.

August 16 continued

At 11:01am, [redacted] texted my number with a threat of going to court.

At 2:22pm, [redacted] proceeded to call my wife on her cell phone. She promptly hung up.

August 18, 2015, [redacted] proceeded to call my wife at 9:52am and left a voicemail with a threat to go to court.

We expect nothing but cooperation from the management staff of J&S Renovations that [redacted] STOP calling, texting and harassing us. He has been fired from US the CUSTOMER and is no longer welcome on our property!!!!!!Desired Settlement: NO FURTHER CONTACT FROM ANYONE AT THIS BUSINESS!!!!!

Fantastic work! Gave me a straightforward, easy to understand, honest quote. Gave me a $900 cash bid discount. Were able to schedule my roof renovation quickly to fit my schedule and my needs. Were able to complete my roof renovation in just one day. Excellent customer service and excellent product! Highly recommend these guys.

Very professional! First review I have given. [redacted] the Rep was very friendly and worked with our insurance company as a mediator for storm damage. He is a wonderful rep and took the worry and stress off us. [redacted] stayed in contact with us and thier laborers were punctional and cleaned up the mess. They worked hard and did a perfect job. I just had 1/2 my roof replaced and the air conditioner replaced by J & S Renovations. I was very pleased. Instead of dealing with several people, I just went through one person. [redacted] was the sales representative and took care of all the paperwork, contacting the insurance company, even going on the roof with the insurance person. It was a very pleasant experience on my side. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I am a retired construction inspector and used J & S for my roof project. I was impressed with their attention to detail and how they worked with my insurance company and adjuster. They were able to negotiate with my insurance to obtain a better settlement on the hail/wind damage to my roof. I have 39 "squares" and they were able to finish the project in one day. Their work looks great and they worked hard to clean up our property after tearing off 2 layers of roofing. I found the experience to be without a lot of stress. They were great on the details and paperwork.

My experience with J&S Renovations was mixed. [redacted] knocked on my door offering a free inspection. My roof had visible damage from the monsoon storm in July but being disabled I could not look at it myself. I set up an appointment for that day. The inspector, [redacted], didn’t show up until 1 ½ hours after the appointment and well after sundown. I went on to have numerous issues with [redacted]. On the day the insurance inspector came, [redacted] was a no-show. I called and spoke with [redacted] and told her I how upset I was. However, [redacted] was very sympathetic and asked to come visit me personally. She and[redacted] (the S in J&S) visited the next day. They were very apologetic and it was intimated that [redacted] left the company. I decided to give J&S another chance. I am glad I did.
Servando was very courteous, always prompt for appointments, and most importantly doggedly kept on my insurance company to make sure it paid for my roof replacement. I had more difficulties with the insurance company than I imagined, but Servando was persistent. [redacted] always kept me up to date on things and was a pleasure to speak with. The roofing was done in a day and I could not be happier with the quality of the materials and the service.
