JD Service - Never! They do it Wrong and Expensively too!
$590 for snaking the kitchen drainless than 1 hour's worth of work. We had originally thought the price to be high but acceptable because we had requested that all the drains in the house needed to be cleared. After the plumber left, the misunderstanding became apparent to us: we were charged $590 to snake open just the stopped up kitchen drain. The plumbing manager responded to our complaint letter via email saying that he would talk to the plumber who had done the work, and then get back to us the next day. Meanwhile, 15 business days later (3 weeks) have gone by. We never heard back from JD Service.
Lesson: Never Again.","neg-1
[redacted] came today to service my air conditioner. He arrived on time, did a comprehensive assessment of the needs of my unit. He discussed it with me and I approved the necessary maintenance. [redacted] took the time to answer all my questions. Everything is running fine now. This will be the start of my second year of JD's annual Service Plan. I feel they are a company with good employees that give quality service.","pos-10
JD service now, in Durham was helpful and reasonable. Technician [redacted] was knowledgeable, patience and fast. This has been a painless experience.","pos-2
We got up this morning to discover the kitchen floor was covered in water!!! I went to my computer to find a plumber and there was JD PLUMBER listed as a 24/7 emergency service. I called and a wonderful girl named [redacted] knew exactly what to do and had me turn the water off at the main valve first and then she told me to have a cup of coffee and she would get someone over right away. [redacted] came, sorted out the problem, and made the proper repairs very quickly.....a new supply line to the dishwasher.
He then recommended we have the crawl space, which had some pooling of water, checked to make sure there was no mold or mildew problems or problems with the structure etc. This was also done quickly by Emergency Reconstruction, whom [redacted] contacted for me. Thankfully everything was fine and there was no charge for this inspection!
