Review: On 1/22/2013 I paid $1298.00 to this company in promise to sell my timeshare or buy it at the end of the time for a fair price original price was 14,900.The contract ID number is [redacted]. They are now only trying to offer my $92.98 for a 15,000 timeshare. This was surely a scam and I want my $1298.00 back since they did not provide the service promised or offer a comparable offer to buy.Desired Settlement: Refund go full amount for services that were provided $1298.00

Dear [redacted]

This is in response to a message received by our office on or about 06/03/2014 in regards the contract between [redacted] and Timeshare Resale Source for the advertising of his timeshare.

Our contract is very clear we have done everything the contract terms state. You are just not happy with the end result of what the current value of your timeshare property is worth. Pursuant to the signed contract, if the timeshare did not sell after 10 months a market price offer would be made for the purchase of your timeshare. According to the definition of market price on your contract; “Market price means what a similar Timeshare most recently sold for on the current resale market.” The market price offer was made to you by our in house licensed Real Estate broker, completing the contract with our company.

There was NO specific amount guaranteed as we have no way to see the future value of any timeshare. If you believe your property is worth as much as YOUR requested sale price, you can try to sell it back to your timeshare company and see if they buy it back. You should be more upset with your timeshare company, not us.

We don’t make the market prices; we report them as they are completed by third parties other than us. We submitted about three comparatives for your timeshare which are actual bona fide transactions done by buyers and sellers not affiliated with us. Unfortunately you have a timeshare property that at this date and time is not worth very much money on the re sale market as evidenced by the proof we submitted. Prices always fluctuate and we have no way to see the future value of any timeshare.

With that said, all services you contracted for have been provided by Timeshare Resale Source, and we have completed the contract with you. Your timeshare has been advertised pursuant to the terms and conditions of your signed contract and we have made you the market price/value offer as outlined in the contract. Our contract is very clear, we admit no wrong doing or liability what so ever. Therefore we find no refund due at this time.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[this is not what was discussed, I spoke to agent and she stated the market value was 13-15k market value when I deciding on signing contract I specifically stated your not going to come back a year from now and offer me $50 she said no we will offer you market value and that is 13k-15k. I'm sure they record these conversations so my claim is substantiated. They also stated they would have no problem selling it before contract is up it looks like multiple open claims on your site against this company something really has to be done!]

Review: Fraudulent and tricky practices

We were contacted by TIMESHARE RESALE SOURCE to sell our 2 bedroom lockout time share in [redacted]. I was told it had a market value of $16,000 to $18,000 and they would list it for sale for that amount. I was also told by the salesman that they guaranteed the sale within 10 months or they (the Brokers) would buy it from us for the market value.

I paid a fee of $1100.00 and signed the contract. The details about the sale to the Brokers was muddy so I asked the salesman about it and he said that it said exactly what we had discussed, at market value of $16,000 to $18,000.00 After 10 months I had to make several phone calls and write letters and finally at 14 months the Brokers agreed to purchase it for $7.00!! REALLY!! A week of a 2 bedroom, lock out condo in the Disney area for $7.00!! AND- they also wanted me to pay an additional fee of about $1500.00 for legal and deed paperwork.

SO-- do not use these people if you really want to sell your timeshare for the REAL value!! HOWEVER- if you are looking to unload a timeshare for a fee of about $2500.00 then - THESE MAY BE YOUR GUYS!! THEY USE EBAY TO DETERMINE WHAT THEY WILL PAY YOU FOR YOUR CONDO BUT NOT WHAT THEY WILL SELL IT FOR!!

They refused to refund my fee when they did not sell my condo so I filed a complaint with the California Attorney General.

BE CAREFUL- These are tricky people!Desired Settlement: Refund of my $1100.00 fee for services they did not provide AND a change in the way their salesmen sell their product.

To whom this may concern,

Review: On 9/20/2012, we paid $1100 for this company to advertise our timeshare, with an agreement that if the timeshare did not sell in 10 months that they would have their Licensed California Real Estate Broker submit to us a market price/value offer for the purchase of our timeshare. We had to send a written request for this Broker Purchase Option. We sent the written request on July 10,2013 as we were told to do on a phone conversation. On August 14, 2013, we received a letter from the company saying "We would like to inform you that we have received your written request for the Broker Purchase Option. Under the terms of the Broker Purchase Option, we will now have our Licensed California Real Estate Broker investigate the market price offer for the timeshare you have listed with us. We kindly ask that you fill out the attached questionnaire form and return it to us as soon as possible for completion of the offer package. Please allow approximately twelve weeks from receipt". We filled out the questionnaire and faxed it to them on 8/20/2013. We have received no offers, so we called them on 11/15/2013 we were told that we would hear shortly. Still we heard nothing, so we called again on 11/26/2013, and we were told maybe two weeks but it could take longer. Meanwhile we continue to pay maintenance fees which by now we should have been free and clear if the company had honored their Broker Purchase Option in a timely manner. We just want them to finish this purchase.Desired Settlement: We want the broker to submit an offer to us for the purchase of our timeshare. That was their promise in their contract, and we would like to have the job finished in a timely manner.

Dear Revdex.com,

This is in response to the letter submitted to our office on or about 12/5/2013 regarding a message submitted by [redacted]. This is our response.

There is no dispute that [redacted] entered into a contract with Timeshare Real Solutions for the marketing of his timeshare. This contract did in fact state that we would make him a market price/value offer after 10 months if the timeshare had not sold. At this time we can inform you that our licensed Real Estate broker has been working on making [redacted] his market price/value offer, as soon as the necessary comparables are found, the offer will be made accordingly and mailed to [redacted].

Please note that because of this process, and because we have no control over the market, we give no exact dates to receive this offer but we are doing our best to send it out to him as soon as possible.

We appreciate the patience and cooperation.

Review: I was presented with the offer via phone conversation to sell my time share and guaranteed that if not sold in 10 months (after I paid a fee of $1199) the company would pay me market value for the time share. I was given market value on the phone call and guaranteed this amount, At the end of 10 months, I contacted them and they said it is not sold but we can proceed with the buyer option process. They sent the necessary paper work, which I completed and sent back. The paperwork indicated within 12 weeks this would be completed. Once again, we have exceeded the time frame and this is a breech of contract and I call many times and never get a positive response. I am told, it is with an agent and they are working on it. I keep getting the same story and at this point, this is breach of contract and I want my money back.Desired Settlement: I want all of my money refunded to me ASAP all of my $1199.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Good Afternoon [redacted]:

Confirming our conversation of yesterday, I received the "insulted" offer today. We were guaranteed minimum of $16,1 to $18,900 for the purchase of our time share via the phone call back in April/May of 2012. We received the "offer" today for $332.31...what an insult and to top it off they are asking for processing fees which we were guaranteed there would be none and this is in an amount of $1050. I cannot believe this place is in business and they NEED to be shut down and made to repay all the people they are scamming. They guaranteed us that if not sold on their website at the end of 10 months we would get the market value and many times I made the individual ([redacted]) verify the market value and price and was told it would be $16,100 to $18,900.

The letter was received with letterhead, [redacted] (same address).

We were also told by the individual that called us, [redacted] they were members of the Revdex.com and/or ARDA and to look at their website and we would see this information.

This is a scam and I want my money refunded and also this place put out of business so no one else is scammed.

If you need additional information from me, call or email and let me know. Your assistance is appreciated.

Thank you.

Review: Back in January 7, 2013 I contacted Times share Real Solutions to try to sell my time share. I was told for $900 they would advertise my time share in an attempt to sell it. And if it didn't sell in 10 months they would buy it for fair market value. At the time they told me it was worth $17,500 now they tell me its worth $140 and the market has changed and the market is unpredictable and if I want them to buy it it is an additional $500. I feel I got scammed and the time share was not pushed to sell.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my money back since the service promised wasn't rendered.

Review: A representative from Timeshare Resale Source called at home during the month of October 2012.

They were saying that [redacted] the company from which my wife and I had bought a Timeshare's condo Rewards website access in 2008, were having a "buy back" process.

They offered us to advertise our Timeshare for 988$, in order to get a Fair MarketValue between $8500 and $9900.

They included a "broker purchase option", if they would not be able to sell the Timeshare over a period of 10months.

After more than 18months, their FINAL and only offer is $73,66 !

I still have the recording of [redacted] the seller that first called to me, calling me back for more information.Desired Settlement: I want a refund for their service, which they did not performed.

They offered me a broker purchase option of $73,66 for my Timeshare, after they have asked me $988 for advertising my Timeshare, saying it is the market value !

This is a misreprentation, since they first said the FairMarket value was between $8500 and $9900 18 months earlier !!

Response:

Dear [redacted]

Review: I was contacted by [redacted] from Timeshare Real Solutions in October 2012, who offered to sell my timeshare. I purchased my timeshare in Cabo San Lucas with a Company named Fiesta Americana. I was told over the phone that the property would be advertised for 10 weeks on the internet to potential buyers, and I was given an estimate of $14300-$16400 as a sales price, which I have in writing. Once I received the contract which is a "Broker Purchase Option", I quickly noticed that it was a 10 month term, but by then my credit card had already been charged $1152 and it was too late to cancel. I remained patient within that time frame, but as soon as the time was up I called and asked how I could get them to purchase the property from me, since it was a guarantee they made. I was mailed a form to fill out, which included the original purchase price of $16,460.00 on a 40 year contract, of which I still owe roughly $5000. It took them 4 additional months to process the request. Finally, I received the offer on January 21, 2014 letter from their broker : [redacted] which stated that the property is valued at $220.66; and to top things off I would have to pay $1050 additional to "facilitate the transaction". I could not believe what my eyes were looking at, since a week vacation at any 4+ star hotel starts at that price. I quickly called Timeshare real Solutions and provided my contract # [redacted]. The representative confirmed that it was the total price they would pay for my 40 year contract. I find this aggravating and surreal! This is clearly a company that is set up to steal money legally. I will be seeking legal council for retribution of the original cost and interest for the financing on my credit card. I would GREATLY appreciate it if you would look into this business and the transactions that they do. I have also viewed many complaints online from people who have also been scammed as I have.Desired Settlement: I would really like to see companies such as this stop existing, since they mislead the consumers with false advertisement and benefit from it, calling it a "legal" contract.

This is in response to a letter received from your office on or about January 28, 2014. The letter seems to be in concern to a contract that was entered into between Ms. [redacted] and Timeshare Real Solutions for the marketing of her timeshare.

Our contract is very clear we have done everything the contract terms state. She is just not happy with the end result of what the current value of her timeshare property is worth. Pursuant to the signed contract, if the timeshare did not sell after 10 months, our company would have a licensed Real Estate Broker submit to her a market price value offer for the purchase of the timeshare. The market price offer was made to them by our in house licensed Real Estate broker, completing the contract.

There was NO specific amount guaranteed in the contract as we have no way to see the future value of any timeshare. If she believes the property is worth as much as her requested price, then she can try to sell it back to the timeshare company and see if they buy it close to the amount they made her believe it’s worth when purchasing. She should be more upset with her timeshare company, not us.

We don’t make the market prices; we report them as they are completed by third parties other than us.

Unfortunately she has a timeshare property that at this date and time is not worth very much money on the re sale market as evidenced by the proof we submitted. In conclusion, our company has provided the services contracted for by Ms. [redacted] and we have advertised the timeshare pursuant to the terms and conditions of the signed contract. The market price offer submitted completes the contract. We find no refund due at this time.

Sincerely, Timeshare Real Solutions

The Company is incorrect in saying that they offered Market Price Value, since their offer was stemmed from EBAY Auctions! and I was sent the copies. That is in NO WAY Market Value! Review: Re: Cancellation of Contract # [redacted] and Refund of Payment. Revdex.com Staff, We are contacting you in regards to Timeshare Resale Sources failure to refund our payment after cancellation of our timeshare sales contract. Per their website and other documentation received, they are located at 9625 Mission Gorge Rd., Suite B2-393, Santee, CA 92071. We were initially contacted by one of their representatives ([redacted]) on April 5th, 2013 at 4:29pm EST regarding selling our timeshare with Coral Resorts: Island Links Resort. Upon accepting their services, they immediately deducted $1,186.00 from a Credit Card provided to the representative. After doing a more extensive review of their organization on the Revdex.com website and other various review and rating services websites, we decided to cancel our contract. We found them to have poor reviews and an F rating on the Revdex.com website. Per the privacy policy listed on their website and also spelled out in the sample contact provided to us, we had the right to cancel the contract at any time, as long as it was cancelled prior to midnight on the third business day from the time that they recorded our initial acceptance. This cancellation letter was sent to them via USPS on 4/8/2013 and was delivered at 10:42am on 4/9/2013. This met all of the requirements noted above.Approximately a week later, we received a call and were told that our cancellation was accepted and that we should expect a refund in 22 days. Regardless if this was 22 days or 22 business days, the refund is well overdue.Desired Settlement: We are asking them to immediately refund the $1,186.00 by crediting the Credit Card used for initial payment and contact us when the payment has been made.

Review: We were contacted by Timeshare Real Solutions and represented as they were working for [redacted] The representative said that our ownership in the Timeshare Company, [redacted], was no longer valid and we would either have to pay an additional $5,000 to the new owner, [redacted] or sell. They promised to assist with selling and told us our ownership was worth $15,000.

We agreed to list since we did not want to give additional money for the timeshare and then we were told we would have to send then $1648 to list the property and sell. Today we received an offer from Timeshare Real Solutions for $9.84 but we would have to pay another $479 to handle the transfer and closing. When I tried to call about this I was told they are just a third party listing agency. We asked to speak to another individual and the person answering the phone would never transfer to anyone else. We called [redacted] (which we should have done to begin with) and were told that we are valid owners and we can continue to use our ownership points as always. We have continued to pay the maintenance fees but not enjoyed the benefits. My advice, if you receive a call don't do anything until you check out who is calling. This company is a scam or is misrepresenting what they are able to do.Desired Settlement: I would love to get back the $1,648 that they took from us. We are senior citizens and they took advantage of us.

Review: My husband and I signed up to have our timeshare sold. We were told at the time October 2012 our property was worth approximately 19,000.00 - 20,000.00. We were told it would be advertised and more than likely sold in 10 months. It was not sold in 10 months and finally 1 and 1/2 years later we were offered $44.00. They sent information to use that showed comparable sales on EBAY. At the time of our agreement we were told it would be a REAL realator company attempting to sell our time share. We paid $1,385.00 for this service. I contacted them many times and was assured they were actually advertising not advertising on EBAY.Desired Settlement: I would just like to be told why these companies are permitted to scam innocent people that actually call them and tell them they can assist in selling a timeshare. I know many companies have been fined and closed due to such practices.

Dear [redacted]:

This is in response to a message received by our office on or about 4/4/2014 in regards to a contract entered into by [redacted] with Timeshare Resale Source.

Our contract is very clear we have done everything the contract terms state. You are just not happy with the end result of what the current value of your timeshare property is worth. Pursuant to the signed contract, if the timeshare did not sell after 10 months a market price offer would be made for the purchase of your timeshare.

According to the definition of market price on your contract; “Market price means what a similar Timeshare most recently sold for on the current resale market.” The market price offers were made to you by our in house licensed Real Estate broker in March 2014, completing the contract.

There was NO specific amount guaranteed as we have no way to see the future value of any timeshare. If you believe your property is worth as much as your requested price listed, you can try to sell it back to your timeshare company and see if they buy it close to the amount they made you believe it’s worth when purchasing.

You should be more upset with your timeshare company.

With that said, all services you contracted for have been provided by Timeshare Resale Source, and we have completed the contract. Your timeshare has been advertised pursuant to the terms and conditions of your SIGNED contract and we have made you the market price offer as guaranteed. Our contract is very clear, we admit no wrong doing or liability what so ever.

Best Regards,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

I know for certain my timeshare property is worth more than $44.00 . When I went with the contract the gentlemen told me my property was worth $19000.00 to $20000.00 . On my contract the only reason the price listed was 19 to 20 thousand was because the guy I spoke with [redacted] told me to. He also td me most properties sell within 10 months.

As to what my property in Brigantine NJ is worth I called the place and with the points I have it would cost me over 20000.00 by a lot.

Review: Vacation Tree: Aka "Timeshare Resale Source" sold me a service that included advertising my time share. Originally I signed up with Then in 6/20/2012 for $ 438.00, after 8 month of obsoletely no activity on the sale of property, we opted for the 10 month guarantee purchase from their company. As of 3/26/2013, I paid an additional $ 525.00 for the 10 month option. As it has been 10 months, I contacted them regarding buying my property. They info0rmed me I would need to make a written request for an offer. On Jan 27 2014, I filed the a letter asking for an offer on my property. ( Which I have proof of Mailing from USPS) I keep calling their office, and am being told that they have not received my letter. The Manager at the Santee Ca office: [redacted], refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor or anyone higher to resolve this issue. I was told there will be no "exact" date to receive my offer letter back, that it would take, " Weeks".Desired Settlement: I would like to resolve this matter by receiving an offer letter and completing the 10 month guarantee purchase as stated in my contract.

Review: We were contacted by phone by Timeshare to sell our vacation plan and was told we could get between $7000 - $9000 and if it did not sell from them advertising within 10 months; they would purchase it. They guarantee that we would get several offers since they advertised world wide. The cost for the advertising was $997 for 2 years. Credit card payment was made and a contract was sent, signed and sent back. We did not get any offers and when the 10 months was up I called and was told I need to write a letter to request the sale.

I did that and then I got forms to fill out and send back. I did that and sent a letter stating that they will now have their Licensed California Real Estate Broker to investigate the market price offer and would take about 12 weeks. I received a broker purchase option letter to purchase my vacation plan for $46.66 which they said they calculated by getting 3 winning bids of $11.50, $26, and $102.50 not from actual sale of a vacation plan. Now they want $479 to facilitate the entire process to have their attorney legally cancel my timeshare from my name. I feel I have been dubbed and ripped off of my $997 and this company is a big fraud. I would like investigation into this company and I can get my money refund since I have not received any service from them. I still perplexed at them making an offer of $46.66 for a vacation plan they said they could sell for $7000 - $9000 and now they want me to pay them another $479.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my $997. I do not feel that they have actively tried to sell my vacation plan. I only see an advertisement a very brief advertisement online.
