White Plains Auto Company Reviews (23)

Review: I purchased a car from Nissan White Plains December 2014. I was told by the sales man that White Plains Nissan was going to be buying my car out so I would not have to pay the excess mileage that I was over on my previous lease. A month later I receive a bill from Nissan Finance for $1,195.00 in over mileage charge. I was shocked as the reason for getting a new car was so I did not have to pay the fee for the excess miles. I was advised by the salesman, sales manager and finance manager at White Plains Nissan that they were buying my car out so it would not be returned to Nissan. I have tried to contact all three of these men. The sales manager is longer with Nissan from what I was told. The finance manager will not return my phone calls. The salesman does not recall but does remember the point of me purchasing the car was to not have to pay the excess fees. All three of these employees at White Plains Nissan lied to a customer to make a sale of a car. I guess I am partially to blame for taking there word and not reading the bill of sale in its entirety. I would never return to White Plains Nissan. This is the worst experience I have ever encountered with any business in all my life.Desired Settlement: I did think this issue would be resolved if they admitted they owed me the money for the excess miles. After all other fees and taxes were taken off the bill from Nissan Finance all they would have had to give me was $750.00. Instead of being fair to a customer they are choosing to deny that to me.

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,Thank you for contacting White Plains Nissan. After a thorough internal investigation we can tell you with conviction that the customer absolutely agreed to a transaction where she was responsible for the miles and the excess wear and tear on the lease return. Please see attached buyers order signed and dated by [redacted] agreeing to same. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any additional questions.[redacted]

Review: I purchased a 2010 Nissan Altima from white Plains Nissan in March of 2010. I also purchased a Customer Rewards Program contract for $ 395 at that time.

The contract calls. in part, for lifetime free tires (for the vehicle) as long as I have all service done at the dealer. I will soon need new tires and I noted the contract to the dealer. I was informed that it was additionally my responsibility to insure that they rotated the tires every 6,000 miles for the contract to be valid. They did not do so (even though all service was done through them) and thus the contract was void.

I attempted to contact the dealership but they would neither return my phone calls or e-mails. I contacted Nissan and they informed me that the dealer refused to honor the contract or return the $ 395 I paid them. Furthermore, Nissan said they could not enforce the contract because it was not a Nissan contract but a contract with the individual dealer.Desired Settlement: They give me the $ 395 back.

Response:

We are sorry to hear [redacted] is unhappy with White Plains Nissan regarding his “Tires for Life” program. As we explained to [redacted], this is a third party program that is backed by an insurance company. We at White Plains Nissan have no say as to whether a claim is valid or not. The program rules spelled out in the agreement that [redacted] signed. (Copy available on request).

The vehicle owners responsibility is to assure the tires are rotated every 6000 miles plus or minus 1000 miles. The insurance company administers claims like all insurance companies, if the loss is outside the coverage the claim is denied. Unfortunately, [redacted] did not rotate his tires within the program rules and his claim will not be paid. [redacted] is a good customer of ours so we offered to replace his tires at our cost as an accommodation. Our offer still stands to [redacted]. Hopefully he will realize White Plains Nissan has nothing to do with approving claims.

Sincerely,

Service and Parts Director

Review: We signed a work-order to lease a Nissan for $313 per month. When we came in the next week to finalize the lease and pick up the car and they drew up the paperwork for the price of $315 per month. As a result of their mistake, they provided us with a service agreement for oil changes in the first two years.

As part of our lease agreement, they agreed to cover the $170.32 final payment on our Jeep that we traded in. Our sales associate Graceia L[redacted] told us that they were going to pay the $170.32 directly to the finance company. We leased the Nissan based on the terms and conditions that were presented to us.

I spoke to the manager, Quan T[redacted], the following day after we signed the lease on the Nissan, and he told us that they aren’t going to pay the $170.32. Told him that it was part of the agreement and he should check his paperwork. We spoke later that day, after he verified his information and told me that the check for $170.32 would be ready for us to pick up on Friday May, [redacted]. He also told me that they will no longer honor the signed service agreement. I called them on Friday May, [redacted] to tell them that I was picking up the check and they told me it went out in the mail. It’s now June [redacted] and we still have not received the $170.32 and although we have a signed service agreement, Quan stated that they are not going to honor that either.

They won’t return my calls. I’ve recorded all of my conversations with Quan. In addition, he has been rude, argumentative and dismissive. We leased the car under the terms stated. Not honoring the terms of the agreement is FRAUD!
