Ms*** has disputed that Guardian erroneously installed two (2) indoor cameras in lieu of two (2) outdoor cameras as she had requestedUpon receipt of the subject complaint, Guardian conducted a thorough review of Ms***’ account. Guardian’s research revealed an Addition/Deletion form executed by Ms*** on November 30, The Addition/Deletion form provided Ms***’ written authorization to install two (2) indoor cameras in lieu of two (2) outdoor cameras On April 17, 2017, Guardian spoke with Ms*** related to her dissatisfaction with the indoor camerasMs*** requested the cancellation of her account at that timeGuardian’s representative offered to replace the two (2) indoor cameras with two (2) outdoor cameras at no charge to Ms***, however Ms*** declined and reiterated her request to cancel. Guardian’s representative indicated that the account could be cancelled upon payment of $for the camera equipment recently installed in Ms***’ homeMs*** declined to remit paymentGuardian received the subject complaint shortly after Upon receipt of your letter, Guardian made several attempts to contact Ms*** in an effort to resolve her concernsTo date, Ms*** has declined to return the messages left for her by Guardian Respectfully, Guardian is unable to cancel Ms***’ account without further paymentGuardian’s records indicate Ms*** provided written authorization to install two (2) indoor cameras in lieu of two (2) outdoor camerasGuardian has since offered to exchange the two (2) indoor cameras for two (2) outdoor cameras at no charge to Ms***Unfortunately, Ms*** has declined to allow Guardian to do so Should Ms*** wish to cancel her account, she may do so upon payment of $which will allow Guardian to recover the cost of the cameras installed in her homeAlternatively, Ms*** may contact Guardian to schedule onsite service for a technician to retrieve the indoor camerasFollowing retrieval, Guardian will accommodate Ms***’ request to cancel her account without further paymentGuardian believes the above offers to be fair and reasonable and remains hopeful that Ms*** will concur Thank you for providing Guardian the opportunity to address Ms***’ complaint. A cancellation authorization form has been emailed to Mr*** for his signatureDue to the holidays, there was an unforeseen delay in forwarding this form to Mr***Guardian apologizes for any confusion or inconvenienceUpon receipt of the executed document from Mr***, his account will be terminated immediately and he will receive no further billing statements from Guardian

*** *** Guardian is playing a shell game with people, their sales people say the five years are only for ( the price won't go up) My issue remains, as this being a corrupt and morally lacking company, with departments for sales, monitoring, etc., so they can blame the other partyI plan on contacting AARP and my state Attorney generals office to see if they can investigate possible abuse of the elderly in these sales where they tell the them years only locks in the price

Thank you for advising Guardian Protection Services, Inc(“Guardian”) of Mr***s complaintGuardian
is a customer-focused organization and values the opportunity to assist in addressing his concerns and clarifying this matter for all parties
Mr*** has expressed discontent related to Guardian’s cancellation process and further disputes receipt of monthly invoices from GuardianGuardian has reviewed its records and found that the July cancellation letter referenced by Mr*** did not contain a signature or the account password, both of which are required to make changes and/or cancel an accountUpon receipt of Mr***’s cancellation letter, Guardian made numerous attempts to contact Mr*** to obtain his signature on the paperwork necessary to process his cancellation requestUnfortunately, Mr*** declined to return any of the messages left by GuardianAs such, Guardian continued to invoice Mr*** for monthly monitoring fees
Upon receipt of the subject complaint, Guardian made several additional attempts to contact Mr*** to provide the above explanationRegretfully, Mr*** again has declined to return the messages left for him by Guardian
Guardian is a fair and reasonable company and is willing to work with Mr*** to process the cancellation of his accountIn order to do so, Guardian requires direct contact from Mr***Mr*** may contact Guardian at ###-###-#### at his convenience to finalize this matter

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Just because they do not "condone" the manner in which the representative identified himself with a matching business card does not negate the fact it did happen to usthe customerOur contract should be cancelled without penalty and if guardian wishes to recoup the money, they should take it up with their representative who apparently misrepresented himself as a Guardian representative to the customerThis is of course clearly validated with the original business card and acknowledged by Guardian. Additionally, I have submitted proof that we did in fact email all documents to Guardian when requestedHowever, Guardian still states they did not receive themAnd yet Guardian is so convinced that nearly everything I have claimed is untrue or invalidatedIf they did not receive my emails as requested, Guardian should not be so convinced they would have received our accidental alarm activation's and all our phone call complaintsAdditionally, Guardian still refuses to acknowledge that we were unable to cancel our contract during our grace period, to no fault of ours, the customerWe attempted to cancel and were unableThis also has been validated with proper documentation and sent to Guardian as wellAgain, Guardian should do what is ethically, morally, and legally right and void our contract immediately.

Guardian has offered Mr*** a solution to make the voice line functional by suggesting that Mr*** relocate his *** gateway to the panel boxUnfortunately, Mr*** has declined this option Mr*** has stated that the only satisfactory solution to this issue is to drop the spare catline in his attic to his top floorGuardian previously informed Mr*** that this solution is problematic for many reasons: No guarantee that Guardian will be able to drop the spare catline to the correct locationGuardian cannot predict what is behind the walls that would need to be cut into (i.e110v electric lines, HVAC vents, etc.) Guardian could potentially cut holes in the drywall only to determine that the work can’t be completedThis service job would be billable at Guardian’s standard time and material rates, which Mr*** has disputed. Additionally, please note that our records indicate Guardian previously addressed this situation with Mr*** in January at which time Guardian reviewed with Mr*** what steps would need to be taken in order to achieve a signal to the phone jackAt that time, Mr***’s equipment was still within warranty and any repairs would have been covered at no chargeMr*** informed Guardian that he wanted time to consider his options and that he would call back when he made a decisionGuardian heard nothing further from Mr*** regarding this matter until thirty-two (32) months later, well outside of the warranty period. Based on the above information, Guardian respectfully declines to provide onsite service at no chargeShould Mr*** wish for any additional work to be completed by a Guardian technician, all services will be billed at Guardian’s standard service rates. Thank you for allowing Guardian the opportunity to respond to Mr***’s additional comments.
