We’re so sorry to hear that the customer’s
funds were not returned to their account right away. It is our practice to
always inform the customer if their order was deleted and if we placed another
order. The authorization, on the order that was cancelled, was released by
1-800 CONTACTS...

right away and it can take 3-10 business days for the bank to
process the refund.  We’ve called the bank on three-way with the customer
to try and get this resolved quicker.  There are some delays in getting
this authorization dropped and we’ve done everything we can as a company to
make sure the customer is taken care of and to get the funds released.  Unfortunately
we are at the mercy of the customer’s bank to release the funds back to the
customer.
 
The bank has informed us that the funds should
be in the customer’s account no later than today.  I called the customer
to follow up on this and haven’t been able to get a hold of them.  I left
my number and will continue to try and get a hold of them. 1-800 CONTACTS is
all about customer service and making sure the customer gets taken care of, so
we again apologize for the delay that has occurred.

I spoke with [redacted] this morning and am replacing the damaged lens. Having the order rushed to him. There was a miscommunication between departments. He is all taken care of now.

A refund check was issued in the amount of 254.96 on 6/6/17

twice from a private number when I was at work and left a message after the first call. Because the number was private I was not able to call back. They did offer a solution that was explained to me via voicemail, which was acceptable so I am awaiting a mailed check from them for the amount in question.

Dear [redacted],              After researching your account I show that the following happened, since your original order was placed over 365 days again we were unable to refund PayPal. We had to wait for the 30 days for Pay Pal to let us know that the refund couldn't...

We have printed a check and mailed it out to you, this took place on 12/5/17 with the expectation of 2-3 week shipping time frame on the check. 12/19/17 is the two week mark and the 3 week mark will be 12/26/17. The current time of year things can also take a little longer. If you do not have your check by 12/26/17 we can reissue a check to be sent signature required. To whom it may concern,
The manufacturer of these contact lenses have placed a mandate on the
minimum price these lenses can be sold for.  Because of this, we aren’t
able to offer any discounts, rebates or incentives that goes below that floor
price.  In this specific...

instance, our rebate brings the price of these
contacts to the minimum price we can sell them for.  It was mentioned that
the price was found cheaper on a different website.  The reason why this
website is able to go below the UPP floor is because they are not based out of
the US, but are based in Canada.  The customer has been contacted and we
have apologized for the confusion this created.  We should have provided a
better explanation in the initial chat.  The refund we’re able to provide
for this customer is a $50 mail in rebate.

There
was an order placed in December 2014 which was eligible for a rebate. We have
issued a rebate check on 2/17/15
The
customer called at end of March notifying that it wasn’t received yet. Once
discovered, we quickly reprocessed the check and put a stop payment on the
first...

At
the beginning of April, the customer called and notified us that they still
hadn’t received it. The mailing address was confirmed again. Since the customer
still hasn’t received it to date, we reprocessed it internally instead of with
our 3rd party for $[redacted].
 
We
understand the customer’s frustration and our grateful to receive the feedback
on the rebate process.  It is clear there is a disconnect with the way
this rebate process was communicated to the customer.  We have called the
customer and left a voice message (on both numbers on file) to notify to expect
the new check. We will call on Friday to ensure delivery & will continue
doing this until we know the check has arrived. In addition to reissuing
the check, we have given a $** credit on the account along with free next day
shipping to be used on a future order

I am rejecting this response because:I have spoke with a supervisor from 1800Contacts and we had agreed on a potential resolution. The new check will be printed on Thursday 06/04/15 and will be mailed out immediately. I will then receive a confirmation e-mail of my check number tomorrow as well. I should be receiving the check by Monday or Tuesday. The supervisor will then follow up with me again on Tuesday 06/09/15 to confirm that I have received it. In addition, we agreed that there will be a $** credit on my account for all this trouble. I will be waiting until Monday to receive my check and then follow up with Revdex.com.

The customer asked us to place the order and was unhappy that our price matching was line for line with the competitor. I have called the customer and left a message for him. I explained that the charges were just an auth hold on the credit card and they would disappear as if they never were there....

Here is a copy of the chat the customer made with 1800Contacts you can see that he did indeed ask us to place the order and then had us cancel.  His Rx was not valid as it had parameters that were entered in and not signed for by the eye care provider. rebate process but would be happy to provide clarification. Upon receiving a completed rebate form, our rebate team will immediately process a rebate check, provided the rebate form hasn’t expired. In this case, the rebate form was received in time and the rebate check was successfully mailed out. Our records do show that the check was cashed on June 21, 2016.

ensure accuracy on tax
charges, we consistently update the tax guidelines in each of the states &
locations we serve.
We understand there are several
different tax regulations in each state.
As we’ve reviewed the Minnesota
tax guidelines, we have found that corrective contact lenses are not subject to
the general sales tax in Minnesota; however, they are subject to the
MinnesotaCare Provider Tax as stipulated in Minnesota Statutes 295.50 through
295.52.  The tax that the customer was charged was in accordance with the
MinnesotaCare Provider Tax. They were not charged any sales tax on top of that.
 
We have contacted our customer and discussed the guidelines in the
state. They understood and have done research finding what was stated above. We
were able to come to an understanding of the charges and our customer is
satisfied.

eye exam in several years and so the doctor’s office no longer had the customer’s records. The customer will be going to get a new eye exam, and once they are able to replace their order, we will give them free expedited shipping so they will not have to wait to receive their package.
