We refinanced our home through 1st Rate Home Mortgage in June of 2016. They quoted us a 3.25% APR 30 year fixed FHA loan. Our rate with our original mortgage servicer at the time of the refinance was 3.75%. Our monthly mortgage payment, including principal, interest, taxes and insurance prior to refinancing through 1st Rate was $3,003. After examine our loan terms, 1st Rate told us that if we refinanced with them our new payment would be $2,667. This amount was to include property taxes, principal, interest and insurance. Per the loan officer who did our loan and was an employee of 1st Rate at the time of the refinance, ALL taxes, and insurance was to be paid through the escrow account. We signed a contract for those terms at the 30 year fixed price monthly payment of $2667. We paid all mortgage payments on time from June 2016-Jan 2017, at which time we received a notice from our new loan servicer stating that we were short in our escrow account by $4100 because the propert
