Cancel Subscription
I signed up on the trial*** 19, the renewal date was*** 26. Today is*** 27, I have called and they have not answered their phone. Only way to cancel is through verbal. and I have repeatedly tried to cancel the subscription and have been on hold over 6 times for 10 minutes and it hangs up... When they hang up they say to email their support email ***@247sports.com and I have also done this 3 times and no response... But my credit card has a charge for the entire subscription which I don't want.

Desired Outcome

Remove the charge on my Credit Card

Unable to cancel subscription.
This scam business does not allow subscription cancelations online and require you to phone a number to cancel. They never pickup the phone when called. I am unable to cancel my subscription.

Desired Outcome

I want to be refunded for the last two months of subscriptions when I have not been able to cancel. I also seek reimbursement for overdraft fees ($25) incurred due to the company's scammy business policies.

We attempted to reach *** at both numbers he listed without any luck just now. We tried XXX-XXX-XXXX and got a busy signal. We tried XXX-XXX-XXXX and it went straight to voicemail. Note that that was an error on the second refund. He can expect it in 3-5 business days.

I signed up with 247sports for their Annual VIP. The renewal date is 24 August. Today is 23 August and I have repeatedly tried to cancel the subscription and have been on hold over 6 times for 10 minutes and it hangs up.

Desired Outcome

I wish not to be charged for this service, due to their lack of ability to answer the phone, there is no way they know this.

Agreed with what others have posted regarding the terrible practices with regards to subscription management and customer service.
My current subscription should grant me access to premium content that is clearly stated on their website as "included" yet I don't have access and their customer service has yet to resolve my question about it going on 10 days now.
Additionally, their premium membership is supposed to be "ad free" but their mobile service is chock full of ads. Half of my screen is advertisements when I try to view their articles.

Canceling subscription is nearly impossible, you must call a customer service number during business hours, but no one ever picks up.
I have now called 247 Sports five times to cancel my subscription, three today. Each time, I'm put on hold and get no response from an actual representative. At about 10 to 15 minutes into the calls, a recording comes on and says that no one is available to take the call and hangs up. They offer no other way to cancel subscriptions and do not offer any other call back solution. This seems like a scam that allows them to charge your bank account monthly with no way out. My only other solution would be to dispute the charge with my bank. I completely ridiculous lack of customer service by 247 Sports.

Unable to cancel monthly subscription.
Two different instances I called 247 sports to attempt to cancel my subscription. Both instances I was put on hold for 10 minutes and then told a recording told me no one was able to take my call, please call back later.

247 sports will not allow you to cancel their service online, they force you to do it verbally through the number I called. As a result I was forced to file a dispute with my credit card company.

I no longer wish to be charged for their online access.

Cancelled Service - they would not prorate me for 8 months. Shady business and bill practices - terrible customer service
I cancelled my service at the beginning of May for a service that auto renewed last December. I requested just cancelling the account and prorating me as the service is very sub par. They refused and said they will just turn off auto renew and keep my account active until December. Their internet savviness is terrible in addition, not being able to pro-rate and just keeping all of the funds is a terrible business practice.

Desired Outcome

I do not mind paying through May, but please prorate my account for the remainder of the year.

Per our terms of service, we do not issue refunds for unused time. That is made perfectly clear to the customer when they sign up and agree to our terms of service. They have to agree to our terms of service to begin their subscription. We'll make an exception this one time with a credit.

The problem I have with 247sports like so many others is they are either scheming to try and keep you from unsubscribing to their content or are completely inept at using the internet. In order to unsubscribe for something that is 10 dollars a month you have to call an 888 number, wait on the phone forever and then if you are lucky enough to get a representative you can cancel your account. I think it is beyond obvious at this point that in 2018 you should be able to cancel an auto renewal account within seconds by clicking a button on the website. There are literally thousands of websites that allow you to cancel a subscription within seconds by doing this so there is really no excuse that they would not be able to implement this tool onto their website. With their system I will never subscribe again to their content because it is an incredible hassle to cancel.

Opaque billing practices and poor customer service.

They intentionally charge a once per year recurring charge with no notice or permission requests. When I called to inquire about whether they would prorate the amount charged to compensate for months I will not be using the service, I was met with a rude, condescending customer service representative (after waiting on hold for what felt like an eternity for anyone to even answer the phone). I have no doubt the intentionally make it difficult to find the information you need on how to cancel a subscription and they make it as much trouble as possible to go through the prcocess. Site moderators never responded to my inquiry as to how to cancel my subscription and the process for doing so was sub-par to put it kindly. I do not recommend this service.

This company wants to take your money for a service and not let you use the service. I have been a paid member for 3 years and its stops now.
They have a forum where people go to post items to talk about. The person running the site only lets certain people post and will block people from posting. The entire reason people pay is to post new topics. When I emailed them I got back the most non professional email ever. Basically saying we can do whatever we want and you cant do anything about it.The customer service is horrible. I have tried to cancel my account for months but they will not let you cancel thru email. you have to call, and when you call they say they cancelled it but months later I am still being billed. I put in a dispute with my bank today when I found out I was still being billed. This has to stop and I know I am not the only one.

Desired Outcome

I want to be refunded for the 4 months that I was billed. On top of that I should be refunded for my entire subscription since what I paid for they blocked me from doing.

The site moderators are responsible for moderating their site. If you break a message board rule, you are subject to a ban or blacklist on that site. We checked and *** asked to have his account canceled. It was canceled per his request on 2/7/2018. He was sent an email confirmation as well. He will not be charged for the service again.

I want to be refunded the full amount for the 4 months

When requesting to cancel subscription 247 sports denied refund even though multiple emails were sent calls made because of some fine print. Terrible customer service stating if they already charged there was nothing they could do.

LIKE SO MANY OTHERS HERE HAVE ALREADY SAID - DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS SITE.

Like many others, I have been trying to cancel my subscription for a week straight. The same things happen as what is described below - there is a long hold on the phone, followed by them saying they are to busy to answer the call and to email support. So I did. Low and behold....NOTHING.

For the people on this site who have had a similar experience, I did find a work around (although I shouldn't have to find one, I should be able to cancel online - its $12.95 for crying out loud). If you are experiencing this problem (a) call your bank, and ask for them to put a stop payment on your account. The bank will use the previous transaction info from 24/7 to effectively block them taking money out of your account. I had to this as they have still not replied or answered...EVER. (B) Write a review on here, google, yelp, and really any other website that you feel people who are interested in 24/7 might read. Is it for sure going to hurt them, eh probably not. But at least it makes you feel better and potentially saves another person from going through this.

I am on a monthly subscription with this company. I wish to cancel the service and they make it nearly impossible to do.
I have attempted to contact this company multiple times to cancel my monthly subscription. As we speak I am 20 minutes into a call and it warns that nobody is there then hangs up. They REQUIRE users to cancel via phone but never pick up and then bill their fee. This is a huge problem and has been noted by several people on the site.

Desired Outcome

I want them to quit billing my card effective immediately.

This company is still charging my credit card. I was billed $9.95 on 12/26/17. I was under the impression that this case was resolved but they have not followed through on their end. I would like the $9.95 refunded from 12/26/17 and future billing stopped immediately.

Bad company to do business with. They don't refund you if you cancel the subscription today if they charged you for an annual subscription yesterday. Don't ever do annual subscription with this site. Heck, don't even subscribe their service!

You must verbally cancel your subscription by calling 1-888-508-3055. Unfortunately, no one ever picks up when I call. I should have never signed up for something that is nearly impossible to cancel.

The company will not refund your money after the year end date even it you do not want there service for the any of the year. The company does not give you any information that you can't get on a free service and is not worth the money. I will never tell anyone to sign up for this service.

I have been trying to cancel for a month with this company. The only way they allow you to cancel is, you to call on the phone. Have tried to call 8 separate times and have waited up to a hour, with never getting anyone on the phone. It's up for a renewel and they have been trying to take the money out of my credit card on 5 occasions with out success, because I am at my limit and can't afford to keep it any longer. So instead of charging me a year subsricption because I don't have room on the card, they charged me 13.97 for a month which went thru. I have no real option on how I can cancel this service.
This is a misleading business practice.

I called last week because they charged me for a yr subscription when I wanted to do a month to month. I finally got a hold to somebody and they said it would take 3-5 business to reimburse me my money. It's been 8 days now. I can never get anybody to answer the phone and that's been a own going probably for years . Would think they would fix that but obviously they don't care about their customers and just want the money. I'm also upset that I wait on the phone for 25-30 mins then somebody comes on and says email them nobody can answer. All I want now is my money back that's it. And its during the holidays jerks.

I was ultimately able to reach out to a message board moderator after asking for help on the forums. This person name is Hank S. Hank said, "Sorry to see you go. If you e-mail: ***@247sports.com they will cancel your account."

My reply to Hank was as follows: "After emailing ***@247sports.com, I received a message back saying, "Sorry to hear about your issue. Please provide a number that you can be reached at". I honestly feel like the company is intentionally making this difficult for me. I have tried calling the 247Sports phone line multiple times. I'm not interested in keeping my account under any circumstances.

With all due respect, I have no interest in having a phone call, I simply want to cancel the account. I'm sure you would want an easy customer experience if you were on my end. Please, again, just make this simple and cancel the account. Is there anything that you can do to help me? Or, is there someone else that I can contact to help me?"

Hank said, "I don't know what the problem is. I will check to see if I can expedite it. Sorry for the hassle."

My reply to Hank the following day after no response, "Hank, after several more phone calls to the 247Sports customer support line, I continue to hear the message that volumes are higher than expected and I'm disconnected. Most reputable companies allow the customer to hold-up, even if volumes are higher than normal. I don't think the phone number listed on the member services actually works.

Also, no one from email support has followed-up today since I provided my contact information last night. I'm convinced at this point that the goal is to make it difficult for people to cancel, so customers give up and 247Sports continues to make money off of customers who can't figure out how to cancel. Unfortunately, at this point, I don't know what else to do. So I've contacted my credit card company and notified them that I expect a fraudulent charge to post to my account.

This is like a daily running soap opera. I just checked Revdex.com ratings and this appears to be a common practice. Hank, you seem like a good guy. I know you have access to someone who can cancel my account. Will you help?"

So, now I would like to for the record how this company operates. Hopefully this is helpful for future individuals considering their services.
