Review: I started working with this Company on or about 1-**-2013 in hopes of obtaining a loan the representatives said I qualified for. I was asked to purchase several Money Pak cards as well as Vanilla Reload cards for several differenet reasons listed below;

Prove that I could pay for the loan

Transaction charges

To pay for taxes on loan

To pay for Insurance on loan

Two different times for processing errors.

In total I paid this Company $3,394 .59 and then was told I still needed to pay another $389 in order to once again complete the loan process. I was told and have emails to support this on several different occassions that there would be no additional charges and the loan would be wired to my account. Every time I paid a charge and told the transcation was complete I would get a call asking for more money and was told unless I paid I would not receive the funds was approved for. Every representative in the company represents themselves as some sort of senior executive, they say all calls are recorded, they say trust them and the process all while knowing the have no intentions of following thru with their committment.

I cancelled the loan then was told I could only get back 70% of what I already paid and was given the amount of $2376.24, and that it would take 49 days to receive. I was called several times the following day and then was told sorry you are getting nothing back but you can still pay the $389 and funds will be transferred to my account.

This Company represents itself as Revdex.com accredited organization and falsly advertises loans in 45 minutes. They also promise to increase your credit scores by 25 points if you make the tax payment. The list of people I had to speak to are as follows; [redacted](last name unknown as he would not provide) and [redacted] a Senior Acountant. I am not confident that any of these representatives provided me real names or titles. I have emails from the Compnay requesting $ and telling me this is the last transcation, as wll as all the cards I loaded with funds.

I understand I alllowed this to happen to me however this Compnay is taking money form hard working ciitzens and mis representing themesleves, the Company services and their intentions.Desired Settlement: I want the money I paid to be refunded to me, and this Compnay should not be alloweed to do business with its current practices. They are stealing from hard working people that trust in their services.

Dear [redacted],

We have attached our response letter to this email. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Review: I got a call from 5K loans.com after filling out an application online. They contacted me and stated I was approved for a 5000.00 loan. They told me I needed to pay a fee of $237 that would be refunded to me when they transferred the money into my account. Then then approved the loan and then said they would call me back when they transferred the money into my account. They called me back in 20 minutes and said that the could not transfer the money into my account and that they would have to do a western Union transfer. They then proceeded to tell me that I would have to put $690 onto a Vanilla reload card for the western union fee and that once I paid this then they would release the funds to western union to me. Then after I did this, they told me that I had to pay $348 for taxes on this loan and again to put it on a vanilla reload card. When I called them back with this they told me it did not go through and that I would need to do $484 for the taxes not $348 but they would refund me the money for the mistake on the taxes. I was upset because they told me originally that it was $348 not $484 and now I had to come up with this money. They then gave me the tracking number for western union and said that they had a hold on the funds and would release then once I paid the $437.50 in insurance since the amount they were transferring to me was just over $5000 since they were refunding me the $237, the $348 and the $690 on top of the $4000.00 I wanted to take out on a loan. Against my better judgement I paid the insurance fee in hopes that they would finally release the funds to me. I was promised after the taxes that there would be no more hidden costs and that I would have the money very shortly. I felt like if I paid this then I would finally get the money and I would have just lost all the money since they said they could not refund me the money. I feel like such a fool! I am now not only out $2196.50 but I have don't have the loan and now I am at risk at losing my home! I needed the money to pay my mortgage. I can't believe they did this to me after promising this was going to go through. I spoke with [redacted] first then he transferred me to his manager [redacted], and then [redacted] transferred me to [redacted]. I thought they were all the same person so I made them talk at the same time because I felt like I was being taken part way through this loan process but was too far into it and was losing so much money that I was hanging on to hope that this was legit and that if I did everything they asked me then I would get my money in the end. I never received the money and I called Western Union and they had no record of the tracking number they gave me and did not see any funds that were on hold for me. I have never felt so violated in my life! I want them stopped so they can never do this to someone else! The Number they called me from and I called them was ###-###-####.Desired Settlement: I want the $2196.50 that they took from me back and for them to be shut down so they cant do this horrible thing to someone else. Please help me!

Review: We applied for a loan last Friday and were approved for $3000. We had received a call from [redacted]. Agent/ rep failed to explain the loan terms and conditons and hidden fees. We were asked to pay $268 in a [redacted] Prepaid giftcard to have the money wired into our bank account. We called them and gave the gift card pin number and were guaranteed to have the money wired into the account by midnight. Money was never received or transferred into the account. Called the company again on Tuesday, the head accounting guy, [redacted] told us to pay another fee of $292 because they couldn't deposit the funds into our account because there was a problem with the FDIC until we paid for the Loan taxes which was about $480. I found this very ridiculous so I called them Tuesday night and argued with the Accountant. They said if we paid for the loan taxes then we would have the money deposited into our account. I told them I wanted my refund back and they aren't being fair. This company 1) failed to send me an email copy of the loans terms and agreement which it stated on the [redacted] that we should have received an email to review the loan's term and agreement before going through with the loan 2) this company failed to explained these ridiculous hidden fees 3)the accountant, trying to save himself explained the cancellation fee to me last minute after I told them I would report them to the Revdex.com for being dishonest. He said they will cancel the loan but will send me $1 refund. I told them that I didn't want the $1 refund and asked to get my whole refund back. I even asked them if they can refund me $268 back but they weren't willing to do that either.

I just feel that something needs to be done about this matter. I am very upset. This is our hardworking money and we don't deserve to be treated like this.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of $560 back from this company. And something needs to be done about this matter.

Review: I applied for a loan from 5K Loans(Quick Cash Advance), and was sent documentation regarding the loan, saying that I was approved and sign and send the documents back, I also was told that because of my credit that I had to send my first payment of $239.88, to show that I will pay the loan off and that the loan of 2500.00 plus my 239.88 would be transferred to my bank. I was told to go to [redacted] and buy a [redacted] with the person who called himself [redacted] on the phone. I bought the green dot card and put my payment of $239.88 on it and gave him the number on the back. I was told that the Loan and my first payment would be in my bank in 40 minutes. I waited the 40 minutes and did not hear from them, so I called them and was told that the money error in my bank account and that they have to send it [redacted], but first I had to send them additional $200.00 to get the MCTN and tracking number. I told them I did not have additional money and all I was supposed to pay was just the 239.88, that was supposed to be refunded back to me. As I explained I do not have any more money and they did not tell me that I had to give any more money, they hung the phone up on me several times and kept telling me that I had to pay this additional money. I want my original money back and he said I could not get it unless I go to the [redacted] and pay that additional money.

I have a copy of the forms they emailed me as well as the money card that was sent to them. They did not honor what they wrote me and scammed me.Desired Settlement: To get my money back and have them reported as a scam company.

I have given them all the money I have and still they will not release any loan money to me.Desired Settlement: I would like all of my money refunded to me.

Review: I was contacted via phone by a representative that let me know I was approved for one of their loans. I stated that I appreciate the call but was not interested. I was told that I would be charged a $199 fee for not accepting and made the verify my account information. I have recently applied for a $100 pay day loan, not a $1500 loan and definitely not at that website. I asked them to tell me when and how that application was created and was hung up on. I feel that it is my right to know how they have obtained my information.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to stop calling me and I want my information removed from their system.

Review: About 4-6 days ago I began searching for a personal loan in order to establish credit, and to consolidate some personal debt. After searching online, interacting with various websites and speaking to various legitimate lenders, I was contacted by a person named "[redacted]" who represented 5KLoans.com He said I was pre-approved for a personal loan of up to $5,000.00. I said that I would be fine with $1,500.00. From there he told me that the funds would be deposited electronically into my personal checking account with JPMorgan Chase Bank N.A. But in order to receive these funds I would first have to pay an "Electronic Funds Transfer" fee of $142.00 in order to receive the $1,500.00 loan. (In fact this "[redacted]" stated that the $142.00 fee would be refunded once my loan was processed and a total of $1,642.00 would be deposited into my bank account). "[redacted]" told me that in order to pay this Electronic Funds Transfer Fee, I would have to go to a convenience store (such as 7-Eleven, Walgreens, etc.) in order to purchase a "Vanilla Reload Network Voucher". I did some research and found out that the Vanilla Reload Network systems seems to be a legitimate way of transferring money to and from one another, electronically; but there is no way to verify that this 5KLoans company would a) refund the $142.00 and b) give me the aforementioned $1,500.00 personal loan. After deciding that this whole scenario seemed like a scam, I called the 5KLoans company ([redacted]) back and asked to speak to a manager. The "manager" sounded suspiciously like "[redacted]" and could not answer why their business was not accredited with the Revdex.com. He then kept offering for me to go to the 5KLoans.com website if I had any more questions about the service. After this I ended the phone call.Desired Settlement: I would just appreciate it if someone could investigate this "company", and if they are found to be scamming people out of their hard-earned money I would like for this company to be shut down, and for any appropriate legal action to be taken against the people behind the scam. Also, if they are found to be scamming people I would like their databases (my personal information including my social security number, was entered into their website, along with thousands of other people). Thank-you for taking the time to go through my complaint, I hope that something good can come out of this situation.

Review: I responded to a payday loan ad from 5K Loans. They approved me for $2,500 loan then asked for a $222 wire fee that would be refunded with the loan. They requested a Vanilla refund card. Then they required a $345 refund card to prepay IRS taxes. Then another $299 for Western Union fee. Western Union had no record of the transaction number 5K gave me, 5K then claimed that Western Union not allowed to give more than $2500 to one person but if I give another $275 refund card they can release the funds. Even in my desperation I finally recognized the scam. I attempted to cancel the contract and was told that the $299 for Western Union non-refundable even though Western Union knows nothing of this transaction. And the other monies would take 45 days to process, however I was told different amounts and other application fees between the representative, [redacted], ###-###-#### and the so-called accounting department manager, [redacted].Desired Settlement: Judging from the posted complaints regarding 5K Loans I do not expect to see any of the $866 that I foolishly gave to this company. Somehow these web sites and telephone numbers should be blocked.

Review: I applied for a personal loan online 5k loans responded told me u was approved for up to nine thousand dollars my first installment had to be paid up front of $166.67 for a $2500.00 loan I sent that in then the person told me there was something wrong with my bank card so he had to do it through western union but I had to pay fee of $356.67 in which sent for I forgot nut I know I sent it the soon after that he told me I had to send in $475.00 for taxes or I would face serious penalties so I did I should have investigated more but I was blinded about receiving a loan and be able to have a home for my baby for Xmas so now we r going to be poo it in the cold behind these pplDesired Settlement: All I want back is money I into these ppls pocket that was my whole paycheck and I want these people prosecuted for taking advantage of ppl like myself

Review: This company approved a personal loan in the amount of $1500 but then said the deposit would not go into my account and I had to purchase a [redacted] upfront and give them the number from it to cover the cost of processing and it would be refunded to me in addition to the loan. Then the wanted a second gift card to cover [redacted] fees then a third to cover taxes upfront. They will not cancel the transaction or refund the fees I've paid. They have taken me for $322.39 in allDesired Settlement: To have the $ 322.39 refunded to me in a fast manner - not the 45 days they are stating it will take and I'm reading most people never receive. Have this company flagged at a minimum.

5 k loans ###-###-#### called to inform me that I had been approved for a loan up to $5k. I called to inquire about a loan for $3000.00 I spoke with [redacted] informed me about the specifics of the loan for $3000.00, the interest rate, and the procedure for paying the loan back. He said that due to my low credit score I would have to pay $180.00 up front as a security deposit and to show that I was an honest person. I asked if there were any other fees associated with this loan and he assured me that as long as I paid the $180.00 up front the funds would be deposited into my checking acct within 30 minutes. I asked how to pay the $180.00 and was instructed to go to Walgreens and purchase a Vanilla reloadable card. At which time I put $180 on the card and then proceeded to give [redacted] the PIN number of the card and he processed my loan. After about 20 minutes he said loan had been successfully approved, he gave me a confirmation code as my loan number and told me that the funds would be deposited into my checking acct within 20-25 minutes.

After 1 hour the funds were not in my checking acct. I called [redacted] back and was told that there was no problem with the loan but that there was a problem depositing the money thru EFT into my checking acct. I was then transferred to [redacted] Chase in the accounting dept. He told me that there was an issue with direct depositing the money and gave this long saga about why the EFT wouldn’t work and again assured me that there was no problem with my loan. He told me that I could get the funds from a Western Union (WU) location if I would like to proceed with the process. I have used WU in the past and felt like it was ok to use them to get the funds so I agreed to proceed. At which point I was told that I would have to pay the WU transfer fees. I told [redacted] that I only had a little money left. He assured me that I would just have to pay the WU fee of $286.20(which would be rebated back to me with an EBates voucher for $500.00) and then the funds would be available to be picked up at any WU location. I asked “are you sure this is the only other fee I am going to have to pay in order to get this loan because I am almost out of funds and I really need this loan?” Again I was told this would be the last of any fees I would have to pay in order to get this loan. I asked if I could pay the fees from my checking acct at the WU location with my debit card and was told that I could only pay the WU fees with a Vanilla Reloadable card. I purchased another Vanilla Reloadable card. (I made an error an purchased the card for only $280 and was told that they could not accept that amount but that they would refund me that amount with my loan amount when I picked up my funds at the WU location, this was my error). I purchased a Vanilla Reloadable card for the correct amount $286.20 and gave the information to [redacted] Chase at 5K loans and he proceeded to process the information through WU. [redacted] said that he needed to transfer me to the head of the accounting dept because his computer was not giving him the full confirmation number needed in order for me to be able to get my money from the Western Union location. I had been told that the only way to get the Western Union transfer tracking number was after they entered the information from where I had paid the $286.20 for the transfer fees.

[redacted] came on the phone and ask me if anyone has told me that I am going to have to pay taxes on this loan just as if it were a paycheck. I said, “No and I have asked repeatedly if there are fees associated with this loan other than the $180 up front fee that I had to pay and I have been told over and over that there are no other fees to be paid”. He got very patronizing with me and said that if I did not pay the taxes right now on this loan that he will have to report me to the IRS and there would be a red flag placed on my social security number, I would have to pay legal fees as well as the back taxes and that my credit score would drop tremendously. I told him that there was no way that I could pay that money tonight due to the fact that I had already paid out $746.20 today trying to get this loan. He kept telling me that “I had to pay the taxes tonight no matter what”… I told him that I did not have the money, that I had drained my checking acct, which I honestly had because I was so desperate for the loan. He told me to go to a “check n go” place and get a check cashed and get the money to him before 8Pm tonight. I asked if I could have a couple of days to work on getting the funds and he told me that I had till 8pm tonight and then he would file the proper legal paperwork to the IRS regarding my negligence to pay the taxes on the money. I asked him how I could be held responsible for the taxes when I had not even gotten the money and he said that once the western union transfer is proceed it is just like I have rec’d the money.

12/*/13 rec’d message from [redacted] from 5K loans ###-###-####

He stated that they were cancelling the funds for the loan and that he would be sending an email to the IRS stating that I am ignoring the taxes to be paid on my loan and that I am also ignoring their calls (I was not home when this message was left). He said that there would be legal charges that I would have to pay and that there would be a red flag placed on my social security number and that my credit score would drop by 200 points. He also said that for me not to blame him or his company for this action or for not informing me. Then he told me to have a blessed day.

12/*/13 rec’d a message on my cell phone from a [redacted]###-###-#### stating that I needed to call him immediately regarding an important matter and that if I didn’t call him immediately all he could do was wish me luck in this matter.

I realize that I was stupid for falling for the traps of 5 k loans but I think that I needed to share my story to get the information out there so that this sort of thing stops happening. These companies rip innocent people of and they rob us of money that is hard earned and I should have known that I should not have to pay money to get a loan. I was transferred to a new person every time there was a change noted and an additional amount of money was requested. The representative would be very compassionate in explaining why there was another fee until it came to the man who told me that I had to pay the taxes on the money. I am very worried about the concequences of this mess and what it is going to do to me in the future. I am worried about the “red flag” that he said would be on my social security number. These companies need to be stopped. How do I go about doing anything about this situation?Desired Settlement: refund on my money spent

Review: In September a [redacted] from 5k loans contacted me about a loan, I was desperate for cash I have lupus and I had just gotten out of the hospital. They wanted me to get a green dot money card for $220, them wanted $300 for insurance on the loan, and a western union fee of $360 to send me the loan. After all that they asked for $480 dollars for taxes I had given them all I had by then and told them just to refund my money. The [redacted]s then turned very rude and nasty towards me. I was told it would take 45 days to receive a check. I called this morning about my check because it's way past 45 days I was told to call back after 5 pm. I just called and he said my money was sent to the treasury office, I then told him this sounds like a scam. He said I didn't scam you I fooled you and proceeded to call me a [redacted] and all kinds of things that I would never say to anyone. Review: Company keeps on calling me day and night saying that I applied for a loan on line. which I did not. I tell them to take me off of their calling list and they just hang up and call back. it seems like they have a lot of different phone number or they gave my name to different companies because I am getting several call a day. They tell that I have to pay a 15 dollar application fee if I do not want the loan. I have checked your web site and found how they are scamming people out of their by making them pay hundreds of dollars up front to get the loans. I tried blocking the number but they just call with a different one. some how they got my social security number and home address. I don't know what to do or who to call to get this to stop.Desired Settlement: Stop Contacting Me

Review: I was offered a loan. They wanted to know how much I needed I said $500.00 they said it would be cheaper to loan more so I agreed to $1500.00. I needed to go buy a Vanilla pre-paid card and put $133.00 on it and call them back with the pin number from that card and within 10 minutes I would have $1633.00 deposited in my bank account. I waited 30 Minutes and when nothing was in my account I called back. I was told I needed to speak to their risk department. That person was [redacted] and he said I needed an insurance policy to make sure the loan is paid back it would cost me $200.00. They policy was $400.00 they would pay half. I again had to buy a vanilla pre-paid card with $200.00 on it. So I did. I called him back with that pin number and he said within 10 minutes I would have my loan money. After another 30 minutes I call him back and he says The feds won't let them deposit the money into my account I needed to talk to accounting a person named [redacted]. So I talk to him he says he can Western Union the money to me plus a refund of the $200.00 for the insurance policy totaling $1830.00 but I first would need another pre-paid vanilla card with $252.00 the cost to get the money from Western Union. I have never used Western Union For anything so I did not know you don't have to pay to get money. I did not have enough money in my bank by this time but I did have a check for $200.00 so I deposit the check into my account and go buy another vanilla pre-paid card with $252.00 on it. I get to the Western Union place in my town I call him and give him the pin number from that card he says hold on I will be right back with the tracking number you will need to get the money in the mean time fill out the yellow form. I start to fill out the form he comes back on the line and says I need to pay IRS taxes up front and I needed another Vanilla pre-paid card with $225.00 on it. By then I realized I was being taken, I hung up on him, came home and called the police, talked with my bank and now I am in the process of filing a fraud report with both the police and my bank. I was told to report it to the Revdex.comDesired Settlement: I don't want them to scam anyone else and I want my money back . I never received the loan. I have a loan number but no loan.

I am the Human Resources Director for Blue Global, LLC. and its subsidiary Salem Capital Investment Group, LLC, each d/b/a [redacted] (“5kLoans”). We are in receipt of your Notice of November **, 2013, regarding nine outstanding complaints. We apologize for the delay in responding to your concerns, however the original complaints were sent to a recipient who is no longer working here.

5kLoans is not a lender. Instead, 5kLoans operates a payday-loan search engine, whereby 5kLoans attempts to match loan applicants with one of 5kLoans’s lender-partners. The loan search process is clearly explained on the 5kLoans website at [redacted] When a consumer completes an application for a payday loan through 5kLoans, the consumer’s information is transmitted to 5kLoans’s lender-partners for evaluation and purchase.

Additionally, 5kLoans does not make or authorize charges to an applicant’s bank account. Nor does 5kLoans instigate any verification of an applicant’s personal information.

As a payday-loan search engine, 5kLoans is required to provide some of an applicant’s information to our lender-partners. Additionally, 5kLoans is unable to cancel a loan approval for one of its lender- partners. Consumers would need to contact the lender offering the approval directly to cancel and to find out what that lender-partner does with the personal information of the applicant upon declining a loan.

Further, as a payday-loan search engine, 5kLoans is unfortunately unable to provide these consumers with any answers regarding the interactions they would have had after using our matching service.

All of the consumers in question have been added to our global suppression list, and they should not receive any future emails advertising 5kLoans or any other of our products and services.
