I have tried to contact *** to schedule an appointment to install the drain. I have not heard back from her as of yetI understand the customer has rejected our response but we are working toward resolving this issue and can not do so unless we speak with her

I am rejecting this response because: I do not want a drainI paid for a new roof, I want a new roofI asked for a new roof, and was given a re-roofI asked him to fix the roof, now he wants to give me a drain for freeI don't want a drainI want a new roof because that's what I paid for.

Please be advised that a new roof was installed, not a re roof as *** *** has indicated in her complaintThe roof on the home is not leaking. The drain that runs throughout the house is leaking which a plumber has attempted to repair for her. The only way to stop the leak is to change the pipe. We are advising that *** *** contact the plumber to repair the issue or we can provide a proposal to install new pipe through the house. Again, we are more than happy to go back to the house to evaluate this situation *** *** has not returned any of our calls to set up a time that would be mutually convenient for both of us

Since A-Affordable is committed to outstanding customer service, this issue has been resolved and customer agreed to retract his complaint

In order for a payment plan to be established, it is done at the time of signing the contract. If a payment plan was agreed upon, the terms and conditions of said payment plan would be outlined on the contract.  In fact, contract states that "Balance is due upon completion".  We...

oil company. At one point they did offer monthly payment plans.  I have no reason to refund $200 since my team fulfilled the contract and passed inspection.

I returned several times to address this customer concern.  there is a cast iron pipe that is ran through the house.  I recommended the pipe be changed and customer advised her plumber would change a section of the pipe.  On a different occasion I recommended, at no cost to the...

customer, closing off the pipe and installing a leader pipe on the exterior of the house.  I also explained same to customer's daughter.  She said she would call back if problem persisted.I actually made a follow up call at the end of May to find out how we were making out and customer did not return my call.  At this point I figured the plumber had repaired the section of the pipe and the problem was resolved.During this process, customer stopped payment on check and reissued check after we reviewed her concern together.  This is the first I am hearing about this since.As offered months ago, I will still, at no charge, close off the pipe and install leader pipe on the exterior of house.

The owner has been out to the customers home to address her concerns. We have agreed to repair the steps to her liking as well as reduced the original contract amount. This job is scheduled to be completed within two weeks.

This job has been repaired and customer states that she will not remove the complaint until it rains and she can verify that the leak has stopped.

I am rejecting this response because:  We stated on the phone several times when we called them that we wanted it financed.  We stated several times when Mike was there to do the estimate we wanted it financed. A-1 Affordable Construction, Inc. Ignored our requests for financing.  After the fact they tried to tell us they do not finance at all.  Their Ads in the phone book states they do.  The company LIED, and FALSE ADVERTISE, and IGNORE THEIR CUSTOMERS AND DO WHAT THEY WANT!!!!!A $25.00 "courtesy credit"  does not cover what they did!!!!

Review: A-1 Affordable came to do a repair job on my roof on 10/3/13 that cost $4600. Per [redacted] and the contract, they were supposed to replace wood where rotten, install new metal wrap, remove debris when done. and a few other things. They left the blue tarp up and had to be called several times to come and remove it. On the very first rain storm after the job was done, the ceiling was leaking in the 2nd floor apartment in the same spot in the front of the house. I made several phone calls as well as my daughter [redacted] on 11/26/13 to [redacted] and [redacted] at the office to let them know about the leak. We were repeatedly told that they were working on a resolution and that someone would call me back. I never got a response so my daughter called [redacted] on 12/4/13. He told her that someone would come out on 12/5/13 and the repairs would be free, but first he wanted to email me something to sign. When I received the email, it was a proposal indicating additional work totaling $7950. I have consistently been receiving the run around from [redacted] and a man named [redacted] and its obvious that they do not want to rectify this situation.Desired Settlement: I want Phil or [redacted] to make good on the original contract. To replace the rotten wood and repair the leak in the front of the house. I refuse to sign this proposal and just want them to come back and fix the areas that they promised to fix.

As per our contract dated 10/3/2013 all work listed under description of work has been completed.

Review: Contracted A 1 Affordable to repair front steps.

Steps were not properly repaired. I am concerned that someone will fall down them because they are not level and pitch forward. These steps are hazardous.

They workers were advised to stop before the concrete dryed.

I was told they would return the following day and fixed the steps.

The same day I contacted the owner Mr S[redacted] to voice my concerns. He told me that the steps would be fixed.

Two weeks later he came back with worker and told me to fix the ssteps they would have to be torn up for additional money.

The rwo steps that were replaced are a completely different color.Desired Settlement: Repair the steps properly so they are not a hazard.

I have used A-1 Affordable for cleaning my gutters for the past few years and they have honored a promotional rate of $60. I called and made an appointment and I confirmed that they would still charge $60. They didn't show up for the appointment and didn't call me until later but I rescheduled anyway still confirming the $60 rate. The guy showed up and told me he would charge me $125! I haven't had time in my schedule of 2 jobs and f/t college to have them to my house in the past 6 months so they decided I had to start as if I never used them before (never mentioned on the phone). Honesty and integrity will not be found with this company.

Review: Received a phone call from A-1 Affordable Construction claiming they work in conjuction with our OIL CO, were calling to schedule appt to have our chimney cleaned. Owners nephew showed up & told us we needed a new liner, cleaning, etc & QUOTE us $2000.00, said OIL CO would finance for 6 month 0% intrest, we agreed & work was done on the spot. Received bill from our OIL CO with terms PAY THE BILL in full ASAP; call Oil CO informed they do not do 6 months 0%, call A-1 questioning WHY they mis-lead us, was given the run around. Eventually PAID THE BILL IN FULL. A-1 mailed us the Job permit instructing to contact TOWN to schedule appt for inspection. Town inspector showed up; not happy A-1 did the work 1st & THEN applied for permit, asked why A-1 was NOT present for the inspection. Then WAS NOT able to do the inspection A-1 sealed with cement the work done. Called A-1 demanded to speak to the Owner, I explain the situation, OWNER said the Town Inspector didn't know what he was talking about, gave me his word he would make sure his office would called the TOWN Inspector, schedule the appt for the following Wednesday at 9AM sharp, that he would have his tech at my house by 8:30 to start taking down the cement so all the inspector had to do was approve & they would apply the cement again, that I should be at my job by no later than 10AM. On Spet 16, Town inspector showed up at 9AM & A1 Tech showed up at 9:10, tech WAS NOT aware about having to take down the cement. Inspector leaves to come back in 1/2 hour and A-1 Tech took off to Home Depo to buy cement. Called A-1 again was told by KIM the owner "George", was in a meeting, would call me back in 15 minutes. Town inspector showed up, did the inspection. A-1 Tech showed up at 9:50 with the cement, informed he would have to leave & come finish the JOB at another time. I was late to work. At 4:30pm A-1 tech showed up to finish the JOB. I AM STILL WAITING FOR A RETURNED CALL!Desired Settlement: Request a $200.00 discount and since bill was already PAID IN FULL, they can mail us a check ASAP!
