I had an extremely pleasant experience with A-Authentic. They were timely and fixed the problem within 30 minutes. Technician was clean, polite, and explained the issue.

Review: I scheduled a service call from them because I got a coupon in the mail offering "Free service call with repair". I was not home when they came, but they charged my wife for both service call AND repair.

When I contacted A-Authentic, an argumentative lady told me that the coupon only applies if repair involves parts replacement. That is not stated anywhere on the coupon, and I told her so, but she insisted that this was their policy. Clearly my garage door needed a repair, since I could not even close the door prior to their repairs.Desired Settlement: Refund of service call charges.

Mr. [redacted] called us out on 12/6/2013, There was no repair needed, Just lubrication and adjustments. Our coupon CLEARLY states "no service call WITH repair". I have been doing this for 15 years and value my customers but we did exactly what we were supposed to. Had he needed a repair the discount would have been given immediately!

Since my door would not even stay shut before the repair, clearly what you call an "adjustment" would be considered to be a repair. The argument presented by your representative was that it is your policy to call your work a "repair" only when I buy parts, but this policy is not mentioned on your coupon anywhere. If that is really your policy, you should clearly state so on your coupon.

Used this company for years. Had tune up done recently to maintain the garage opener and tech reported no problems and all good. interestingly gears broke two months later and when I called tech to work on this, I was told I needed new springs and parts that went with this because the springs that had been installed were incorrect/wrong size. However, Authentic is the one who put the "wrong" springs in. While I did not believe I should have to pay for something that should have been correctly in the first place, he told me too much time had lapsed. I do not believe this was a warranty issue but instead they did not do the work adequately given what the tech said. since this is an entry way for my home, the work needed to be done. I paid about $250 more than I thought I should have, and when I attempted to contact the owner [redacted], he never called back.. I left at least 4 messaged with receptionists and his voice mail, and it has been two weeks. Im extremely disappointed with this company.

Review: On 12/16/13, I contacted A-Authentic Garage Door and explained that my garage door was stopping and not opening properly requiring several stops and starts to raise my door. I disclosed that I thought the springs were broke.On 12/17/13 at approximately 5:45pm, [redacted] the Technician stopped by. We entered my garage and I lowered and then raised the garage door - the motor worked perfectly.[redacted] disconnected the cord and manually lowered and raised the door. He stated, "the springs are fine and the door is balanced. The problem is your motor - too small and too fast. You need a 3/4 hp motor." I responded that the 1/2hp motor had worked perfectly since 1993 and the current motor had worked perfectly too, since 2008.He offered to increase the motor force setting but discovered that the setting was already at max. He advised using silicon on the rollers and mentioned that I could reduce the noise by switching over to nylon rollers. He then requested payment of $65.00 for four minutes of jabbering.After he left, I contacted A-Authentic and complained that he had not performed any work in four minutes. He completed the invoice checking off that he had inspected the Springs, Rollers, Cables, Drums, Bearings, Gears, Header, Sections and Concrete without performing this work. I mentioned that a previous company, A-1, provided the lubricant and/or replacement of the rollers as part of the service call.The female receptionist responded we charge $65.00 regardless of any work. She stated, I will check the GPS for time at location and call the Tech and I will call you back. And, she stated, he offered to replace your motor.Today is 12/20/13. No return call. Let me start by saying if my company was the "rip off" company you describe then [redacted] would have sold you springs that you thought were broken but were not! The force on your motor is at "the max" and still won't lift your door ( that is balanced) so I would tend to believe you do have a motor issue. As for saying he "didn't preform work" That is a visual inspection done while lift the door manually, which you stated he did! You were told when you called that there was a $65.00 service call but you failed to mention that in your letter.

I will refund your money.

Technician Chris B[redacted] serviced my garage door on Thursday, 1/21.2016. Chris did an excellent job!. He is knowledgeable, professional, and courteous.

Chris is a valuable employee. I will request only him in the future.

Christopher B[redacted] installed our door and we are completely satisfied. The work was on time and professional. We observed the complete job mostly to see how a door was installed but we were amazed at the careful detail that Mr. B[redacted] paid to the work. Each step was staged to produce the best results while assuring the installation was correct and complete. We could not have expected such attention to detail but Mr. B[redacted] delivered and on time.

A-Authentic is a great company. They were fast to get to my place and took care of our problem quickly. The cost was very reasonable and well worth it. I have had no problem telling my friends and family about the quality work they do.

I highly recommend A-Authetic Garage Doors. The technician arrived at the scheduled time. He was courteous and friendly. All work was performed in a professional manner and was completed as promised. I have had no problems with the work performed by the A-Authetic technician and the equipment continues to operate without failure.

CAlled them at 3PM and the technician Peter was at the home and had all fixed by 7:30 PM

Did a very good job and quickly.

A-Authentic Garage Door provided the best garage door service I've experienced of the 3 Phoenix companies I've used. They do a very thorough job on both doors and openers. I just had them install a new opener and tune up all my garage doors. I do recommend them and will use them exclusively in the future.

A-Authentic Garage Door has always been a wonderful company to work with. The technicians are courteous, respectful and get the job done right the first time. It's nice to work with an honest company that you can trust!

This company just did a bait and switch on me! I had a technician come out and give me an estimate for 2 new garage doors. I paid for half of it on the spot and scheduled installation the next week. A few days later the office called asking to send an estimator out to confirm the size of the "panels" which were being ordered. I then confirmed I was receiving 2 full doors, and they said at that price I was only receiving panels. I very clearly asked several times for the technician to confirm I was receiving 2 full doors. He did confirm this more than once and even accepted my coupon, which clearly started it was for doors and not panels. The company is not honoring what was promised to me. I will not be doing business with them now, or in the future, nor recommending them to anyone who asks.

Had A-Authentic Garage Doors service our garage door a year and a half ago. One of the cables broke and they had a Tech out within 2 hours to repair it at no charge since it was under warranty. Their Tech [redacted] was extremely professional and went above & beyond to make sure everything was in good shape & working properly. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

My garage door was only going up 3 inches then stopping. I called A-Authentic Garage Door Service and [redacted] was at my house at 7:10 am the next day. It only took him 30 minutes to diagnose the problem and repair it. He had the springs with him so I didn't have to wait. Quick and courteous and a fair price. I have already referred them.

What a life saver this company came out right away I was stuck in my garage-broken spring needed to get to an important meeting. Told price up front very very reasonable how long it would take got me out of the garage job done exactly as was told and they cleaned up after themselves Nice! I had a problem with my garage door and called this company. They said they would be out at a specific time and they showed up at that time, unheard of in the construction business. The gentleman looked at my door, told me the problem and cost to fix it. I asked how long to fix it and he said right now! It was awesome! He stayed and fixed it, cleaned up and left. Problem fixed! I have had a worry free garage door ever since and recommend this company to everyone I know. Business done right!

We called A-Authentic garage doors because we were having major problems with our garage door opener and the rollers were making a horrible squealing noise. They showed up on time and took our opener apart and fixed the problem. They also fixed the squeeling problem. Our door works perfectly and is now very quiet. I would highly recommend this company.
