In August 2019 we hired *** to build some garage cabinets for us.. he charged us ***. We paid a deposit of *** for materials on 8/10/19 and another *** on 9/1/19 when he came out to install the frame for the cabinets.

After that he was suppose to come out the following saturday, 9/4/19, but text me on 9/3/19 and asked to reschedule because it was his daughters birthday that weekend. I accepted and that was going to push him out to the following Friday of 9/13/19.

On Friday 9/13/19 he text me that his mom was in the hospital and he would not be able to come. He said he would get back to me in next couple of days. By 9/18/19 I had not heard from him, so I text him for an update. He said he had a rough couple of days but would be back on Saturday 9/21/19 to finish the job. On Friday 9/20/19 he text me again to say he would not be out because his mom was back at the hospital. That was the lastI heard from him. He stopped replying to my texts or answering my calls.

At that point my son tried calling him from his phone, which he answered but never actually made it out. When he stopped answering my son, my husband tried calling him and tried to get him out here but each time he bailed on us again. He has stopped communicating all together with any of us.

He worked 1 day to install the frame. And we have paid him all but $600 Of his *** invoice for this job. We will now need to start this job over with a new carpenter.
