Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Regards, [redacted] I was told that I was going to be receiving a written quote on how much everything would beWe did not converse anything regarding taking apart my cylinders or headThat's why nothing was signedI needed to see the pricing to take it apart in writingAlso I live one block away from this shop, I would have not had a problem picking up the car at any timeWould have gladly paid for a tow truckSecond, the reason I was not able to pick up the car was for the fact the it was on a lift in the shopThis was purposely done so that I could not get it backI would see my car in the shop everyday I came home from workI would not have any problem with this company if they would just have givin it backNot the letter she sent me which I still have says, that my car was fixed and here is everything that had been doneI actually know for sure it wasn't fixed because I would see thier workers pushing it into different spots on several accessions so that they could work on other cars on the lift and then put mine back on the lift so I couldn't pick it upThey specifically told me that I couldn't get my vehicle unless I paid themI may also have some pics of them doing this being that I lived down the street and saw it almost every day

Complaint ID # [redacted] did receive a free inspection but because his vehicle needed an electrical diagnosis, we informed him it would cost him to further diagnose what needed to be done to the vehicleAt that point he agreed to itAfter quoting him what it would cost to fix the vehicle he declined most of the work that was needed and just a portion that would at least get the car up and runningThe total was around $He then called us back and told us that he will bring his own parts and to just charge him for the laborWe told him we do not warranty parts that the customer brings usWe have a big sign posted in the lobby that clearly states “We do not warranty any labor on used parts or parts from customers”He was upset that we would not warranty his parts so he decided to just come and pick up the vehicleHe was only charged for what he agreed to which was the $

In response to the rejectionWe never give quotes on any vehicles until we can physically see and scan a vehicle No mechanic or mechanic shop can give a quote on a vehicle to fix everything that is wrong with it until they see the vehicle in person When automotive shops inspect vehicles, they give quotes on everything that they find wrong with a vehicle, some of the repairs will need to be addressed immediately and others will be recommendations Your vehicle had so many codes popping up that an electrical diagnostic needed to be performed and you gave authorization to do soAfter we gave you the quote on all the repairs you asked if you could bring your own parts and you were informed that there would be no warrantyThis is really not a complicated issue, the vehicle has a lot of work that needs to done in order to get it back to 100% We give all our clients a free Multi Point Inspection and a computer diagnostic (hooking the scanner up to the vehicle), but electrical diagnostics are not free, you also had smoke coming from the exhaust so the mechanic had to go in and figure out where that was coming from as wellWe put a lot of time in trying to determine which P Codes were actual true codes and which were not You gave authorization over the phone when you spoke with ***, and then when the bill was more than you were will to spend, you opted not to do the repairsHowever, you are still responsible for the work that was done to the vehicle to determine what needs to be replaced and fixed

In regards to the customers complaint The customer came in wanting a quote for the brakes on his vehicle front and back After giving him a quote he stated he only wanted the front done Upon leaving he stated, go ahead and do the rear also When the customer came with his wife, they paid for the brakes and took their keys On the way out she questioned why the amount was more then the original quote We explained that her husband authorized us to do the rear pads as well If you will look at the documents I have attached you will see that the amount she is requesting is for the rear pads, which at this time she has on her vehicle She stated that we need to honor the original quote, and I stated that the quote was without the part for the rear pads The customer knows that she has both front and rear pads on the vehicle, and her husband authorized the work

Mr [redacted] had his car towed to our shop on 8-14-At the time [redacted] was informed that it could be just a sensor which could be a minor fixAfter taking a look at the car the following day, we realized it was more than a sensor, it was something wrong with the cylinder heads [redacted] *** was contacted and informed that the heads would have to come out and sent out to a machine shop to get examinedHe was informed that the least would cost him was around $and anywhere up to $depending on if the timing needed to be done along with the cylinder heads and the extent of the damageHe authorized the heads to be removed and examined [redacted] states that I had no understanding about the vehicle but that is not trueI was present at the time [redacted] talked to him about the situation of the vehicle and that it would cost him around $to be fixedWe called him numerus times to come pick up the vehicle but he said he did not have the money for itAfter a few months and no payment, I sent him a registered letter and explained to him that I would have no choice but to put a mechanics lien on the vehicleHe was upset and called us stating he did not authorize the workI then explained to him if you did not authorize the work why is your vehicle still hereWe do not work on a vehicle unless the work is authorizedHe was upset and cut the phoneHe did ask if he came up with $would we release the vehicle, and I told him that we may consider that and the remaining we would make payment arraignmentsI never heard back from him

*** the complaint filed is for two jobs, the customer is trying to say he should only be charged for one, however there is a quote the he declined for to partsOne is the transmission and the other is the transfer caseHere is the invoice that he declined the work for the two parts that needed

I stated before that nothing she said is correctShe's trying to trick me into paying for something not approvedI had just had my other car fixed thereI sighned papers stating what was to be fixed as contractWith this car, they gave me nothingI never agreed to any workI was told they would give me a total of what it would cost to fix it as soon as they figured out the problemThey told me eventually by letter, (which I still have) that they fixed it anyway and it would be 2,700$They said I have to pay it or they will put a lean on the carI asked for my car back but they said noThey kept it on a lift inside the shopI live right down the street, not even a block awayI would have gladly picked it up but they would not let meAnother thing I don't understand is if they say they fixed it, why would she claim I didn't want to pay for a towI would be able to drive it outThese small lies will come out soon enough toI believed that they were legit mainly because of the Revdex.com member certificate they had up fromI understand I may never get my car back but this business needs to be researched

Customer came in with two complaints, one being the A/C, and the other over heatingWe give all customer a free multi point inspection and then give the customer our recommendations. The first complaint was the A/C that we recommended an A/C Evac & Recharge. This allows us to fill
the system to the proper levels and test for leaks and proper pressure levels. All customers are told that sometimes the system can be low and just need to be topped off, but this just lets us get a full scope of the system when everything is at the proper levels. We told the customer that the vehicle took the evac and recharge however the system still has issues and does not blow cold. Note if the compressor is bad,"All mechanic shops will tell a customers that they need to replace the compressor, dryer, and condenser. No one ripped the customer off, any shop would charge the evac and recharge before they quote the customer what parts are needed for the repairThe that he paid was for the Evac & Recharge onlyHe's upset because I can guarantee that whoever fixed his car charged him for another evac and rechargeThe second issue was a fan for the over heatingHe did not want to spend for the fan from the dealer, because it is only a dealer item. I will not refund the customer for a service provided

After they so called fixed my car I had to come back three times bc other problem kept popping up.They are over priced and will have you thinking taking a loan is bestVery unprofessional

In all the years I have had to have a vehicle serviced; this has truly been the worst experienceFirst of all I was asked to bring in a vehicle on a day that I felt it was not going to be servicedNo problem I decided to take it Monday, morning; I specifically asked for the cost of total bill I was quoted $ 1,287.00, then I was offered military discount that lowered the total cost to $1,and changeI gave the OK to perform the workOn Wednesday, I was going to pick up my daughter from school; so I decided to stop and see if work had been completedI originally explained that I may not be able to pay for the car until Wednesday, I also explained that by Friday, of the same week I would definitely be able to pay for the car in fullDuring my stop on Wednesday, Charley, informed me I would be charged an additional $per day for storageNeedless to say I was not informed of this policy prior to me leaving the carIf I was I would have waited until Wednesday, to drop it offDuring our discussion, Charley became indignant; he then claimed he had a sign in the shop that states this; to this day, I have not seen the sign I will pay my bill in full Friday, however I will never recommend or bless this shop with another mechanic job on any vehicle I ownWhen I asked if the repairs were completed; he stated yes and continued to inform me of other work I should allow them to do(Beeeep...but thanks for playing.) Good thing this was not JeopardyIn closing he called me on Thursday, and threatened me with the storage charge again and was very disrespectful, as I explain once again had I been forewarned I could better understand your business policiesThey failed to inform me until the work was done, and Charley, demanded payment in fullOnce again demanded, did not use any professional business ethicsSo in closing I suggest you use this business at your own best descression, however I will never return or recommend them to anyone I know

I am rejecting this response because: the person who attended me when I went to pick up the car the first time told me that the repair wouldn't exceed 300-dollars but that they needed to check the car moreI let ***, the manager, know that I didn't want to spend too much money on the car and he told me not too worry because he doubted it would cost more than 475, he said it could possibly cost lessHe lied to me so that I would leave the car in the shop and the next day he called me and tolled me the car repair would be $When they had already checked the car and *** had already said the maximum cost for the repair would be I told him I didn't want to invest that much money on the carSo then he told me that whether he did or didn't do anything to the car I had to pay 475, and he didn't give me any other option but to pay so that I could take my car out of the shop. Not only that, but I also took my car to a different shop and it had broke injectors and they were the only ones who had opened my car and checked it before I took my car to the different shopWhen I took my car to R*** shop my car was only smoking but when I took it to the other shop my car was smoking a lot more and a lot of gas was coming out of the exhaustSo not only did he leave my car in worse conditions, he made it dangerous to drive it and he never mentioned that to meThe car could've caught fire due to the large amount of gas leaking through the exhaust. Not only did he lie to me, he also my family and my safety in danger because for someone running a shop he would never let the car up and running without telling me it was dangerous.

I am rejecting this response because: they are lying!!!  I thought they were fixing the fuel injectors.  I don't even know what an O ring is and was not asked ahead of time.  Didn't know what they did until I got the bill and paid it.  and it STILL leaked gas!!!  When I got the original repair my serpentine belt was fairly new and NOT broken, ragged or anything else.  First they said it was something else then, without showing me any of the supposed broken items, proceeded to fix more than I had bargained for.  With my car torn apart I was told it was over $2300 to fix it which was ridiculous but I had not choice other than to have my torn apart car towed elsewhere.  They offered the loan after I told them I just didn't have that kind of money.  On the second repair I was stuck paying almost $300 for some O-rings which cost less than $10!!!  and it did not stop the gas leak either.  My radiator did NOT have a hole in it, it was leaking from where the hose hooked onto the radiator at the top.  I know because I had it looked at before and I did NOT authorize them to fix that to begin with. They have a reputation for jacking up the repairs, not letting customers see the broken parts as they are supposed to do. And doing shoddy repair work.  Plus they disconnected my horn, never hooked up the temperature guage.  They are incompatent to say the least. Believe me when I say I am bad-mouthing them all over town.  As I said, [redacted] and other places have heard complaint after complaint against this company.   Every mechanic I talk to says they are supposed to show you the broken parts and give you a choice as to whether it is paramount that it be repaired right away or if it can wait.  They show you the cost of the new parts and the charges for the labor ahead of time.  None of which this company did.  They just sat me in the waiting room for hours while they did whatever they wanted to do and then charged me for stuff that could have waited. All I wanted was the one thing fixed.  Actually they could have removed the darned air conditioner because I never use it any way but I was not give that choice either!!!!  
They should not be allowed to arbitrarily fix things without asking permission first and then charging outrageously for it.

Regards,That's the amount I did pay for getting my truck back, but over the phone before I got my truck move into the shop the said it will be $300.00 to give me an estimate on the repair of my truck, which agree to pay and the 85 of the towing truck in case I did not get the transmission work done there. When they said it will be $4,500.00 I said no thanks I will take my truck somewhere else and they charge me more than what they said over the phone. So I was lie to get my truck over and work on it.

So not only did he leave my car in worse conditions, he made it dangerous to drive it and he never mentioned that to me. The car could've caught fire due to the large amount of gas leaking through the exhaust. 
Not only did he lie to me, he also my family and my safety in danger because for someone running a shop he would never let the car up and running without telling me it was dangerous.
