A Plus Public Adjusters

Last February 2015, we had very cold weather in Brigantine, N** Jersey. Under our Condo located in the car port area was a Drainage Trap pipe that had frozen which created a back up into our condo unit on the first floor. This created water damage to about 70% of the Condo. Approx. $35,000 property damage that we had to take out of pocket and Approx...$9,000 lost of use/rents and other costs.
A friend who lives in Philadelphia. referred me to “A Plus Public Adjusters.” On March 1, 2015, I contacted that company and spoke to Mr. Kirk H[redacted] a Public Adjuster who quickly sent over a rip out and clean up cr**. We also discussed the percentage rate for his service which we agreed on 20% he then faxed and over contract for me to sign. I signed it and faxed it back but never meet him in person.
What I did not know at that time, is that he never was licensed in N** Jersey where the job was located, he may have had a Pennsylvania license but he never had a NJ License. In addition it seemed like as soon as he found out that my insurance carrier was Lloyds of London he put our claim on the back burner. He would say to me “Lloyds are the worst in paying on claims very slow. I eventually found out through the person who referred me to him that he never had a license in N** Jersey and that's the reason why he never corresponded with Jim S[redacted], Public Adjuster, with Oliver & Company who was third party representing Lloyds of London.
Our Condo is a investment/rental property so I had to get this repaired up and ready for the next Summer season. At that time I had already signed leases for a f** weeks in June that I had to cancel. I had a lot concerns and questions that needed answers from Mr. H[redacted] for which he did not respond back to me or Jim S[redacted].
Again in the beginning he was communicating with me for the first two weeks then it all stop he would never return my phone calls. To sum it up, he never communicated with Jim S[redacted] never submitted his estimate presentation to the insurance company and because of this made serious delays in repairing my condo unit.
At the end of June 2015, and after three months of unanswered emails, not returning my phone calls, and not working with Jim S[redacted] I finally made contact with Kirk again on getting a copy of his presentation/ estimate and right after that contact he sends me a copy of a letter stating that he's getting out of the contract. Keep in mind this was four months after I signed a contract with him thinking he was representing me only to find out he was doing nothing this cost me serious financial devastation. I had to hirer another company “Constitution Public Adjuster “ who is now trying to settle this claim.

I called D[redacted] S[redacted] at A-Plus to submit a claim. He came right out and went over all the details and signed the paperwork. That was the end of the good experience! From that moment on I have had the worst experience ever! Over the course of 3 months phone calls, text messages, emails all sent to D[redacted] were not answered except on a couple occasions. On one of those occasions, the information he gave me was incorrect. He said I would be receiving a settlement from the insurance company and I would have a check in about a week. The following weeks no response until I found out the claim was denied. If you would like the most frustrating experience of your life, hire these people!
