A Weber Communications Reviews (24)

Review: This morning, on March 22, 2013 I received an email from this company, AWeber Communications, that said, Thank you for your payment! So I immediately checked my debit card account and noticed there was a deduction of $19.00 from AWEBER COMMUNICATIONS CHALFONT PAUS which was a transaction that I DID NOT authorize plus a $1.00 fee totally $20.00. Please note, that I haven't used AWeber services in over 3 months so I was totally shocked to see that they had taken money from my account. So I chatted with the company online to have the money ($19.00 + $1.00 fee) credited back to my account immediately and the first rep [redacted], only stated that she would close the account but my money was not credited. So I chatted a 2nd time with a rep named [redacted] and he had a lot to say but no action was done on his behalf either to refund my money. He gives credit to an invoice bill that was dated last year in December but that still didn't give this company the right to deduct money over 3 months later. They WERE NOT authorized to do so. I feel they are ripping off customers & staying in business by taking money when you do not know it is being done. And it is possible that other customers are being done the same way. I don't understand companies like this that can't see there was no activity on the account for over 3 months, no login or anything, yet they have the nerve to take money for a service I haven't used in over 3 months. Ridiculous.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the money they deducted on March 22, 2013 in the amount of $19.00 plus the $1.00 fee refunded to my debit card ending in -1153 that they deducted from and I'm sure they still have it on file since they had my debit card information for over 3 months!!! Then I just want to be done with this company in which I had already thought I was done with them 3 months ago. But I see that they hold on to your financial information and make unauthorized transactions.

Our records indicate that [redacted] opened an AWeber account on 11/12/12 and agreed to recurring billing until cancelled. We are available by phone, chat, email or postal mail Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm ET and Sat & Sun 8am to 5pm. At no time did [redacted] rearch out to us to let us know that the account needed to be cancelled.

Review: We have been working with Aweber for 6 months and it was seemingly going fine albeit the terrible customer service they provide. I am shocked they have an A rating. They must pay people to put in good reviews or something. We were using their emailing service and all of the sudden they terminate our account with absolutely no warning. They claim we are sending spam out to people. This is literally impossible since everyone on our list have opted in and this can be proven. we also have never sent out any newsletter that scored higher then a 1 on their so called spam scale. They then closed our account and gave us some bogus excuse while completely misunderstanding and misrepresenting the nature of our business. They claim we have a site that asks for money. NO..... We have a site that provides surveys to people and then we in turn donate money to the charity of their choice for their time. We make almost no money with this site because it is all donations. The advertiser offers that are within the surveys are then allowed to have their campaigns shown in follow up emails because they opted in. This is all legal and they asked for it. They can opt out at any time. However the way aweber sets their emails up, it almost begs them to click spam.

I think whats going on here, is that someone somewhere doesn't want a site that helps people unselfishly, so it is hurt and damaged in any way possible. I would only expect this in this world. They are not willing to refund the money we spent on the service....why? who knows. because they have no clue what type of business we are in, because they take a lazy, inept evaluation of our business which they obviously don't understand.

I will continue to file complaints about aweber, since I have gone with another company that doesn't treat their customers like terroristDesired Settlement: I would like an apology and a refund. We have been treated like modern day terrorist, spammers, etc... This is ridiculous. I am sure since Aweber is a large company my complaint will go unnoticed. At least it will be on file.

[redacted],

Review: I received in the mail an invoice for email marketing and analytics services from a company called AWeber. I have never heard of this company and have never requested services from this company. I immediately called the phone number and left a voice message telling them I received an invoice but did not have any business dealings with them, and I also requested that they immediately remove my name and address from their records. I did not leave a phone number since I felt this was a scam and did not want to be harassed by this company by phone. Apparently they get people's phone numbers from caller ID, because a company representative called me on my home phone this morning saying they had an account with my name on it and an invoice had been issued charging me for their services. I asked the woman how they could have an account with my name on it and charges against me when I had never even heard of the company before, let alone requested their services. She became rude and said she didn't set up the account. I told her I didn't either and told her I felt this was a scam and wanted my name and address removed from their records. She became even more rude and started yelling at me, so I hung up on her. I spoke to our assistant at our office who said they had been emailing one of our company's email addresses to communicate with someone who doesn't work at our company. He found many emails on the company's email account and figured it was a scam and didn't worry about it. He finally called them last week to tell them the person they were emailing didn't work for us and when they told him they had this person's credit card on file, he made sure they knew it wasn't our company's credit card either. The company representative then told him there was nothing to worry about. Next thing we know, the company issues an invoice to me. Neither I nor our company is in business with this company and I believe this is either a scam or a company with shoddy business practices.Desired Settlement: I want them to stop contacting me and our company. I want them to remove that invoice, and my name and address from their records. And more importantly, I want them to be investigated for improper business practices.
