There has been no documentation of such hidious acutation of retaliation Our warranty specifically states we do not cover insidentals, loss of time, which is stated on his warranty certificate To rebuild the transmission completely and receive the vehicle back in to business days is quicker than a paying customer, which the customer stated the original repair which was the same took weeks We have no further offers

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: because when I brought my vehicle in to have transmission worked on again There was no other issue with my vehicleIn my first phone call with Dave after dropping it off he told me what was wrong with transmission and didn't state anything else My vehicle only issue prior to being brought into Aamco the second time was transmission issuesWhen I received it back it had plenty of issues that Dave and his clueless mechanics caused in retaliation because of me complaining about them having it to long and not the amount of time toldSincerely, [redacted]

We have offered [redacted] to bring her vehicle back in so we can take a look at it at no charge We once again invite her to call and make an appointment for us to look at her vechicle at no charge to determine what needs to be done The owner would like to be present at this appointment We look forward to answering any questions and concerns [redacted] may have concerning her car Thank you for your time

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:When I was told they would replace the steering column I was not told it was a condition of my removing my complaints, as it was filed under my insurance claim, I had to remove it from the claim once I accepted their offer to repair it as they could not finish the work on the transmission without being able to drive itWhen they gave me the offer my insurance company had already made plans to tow the vehicle to the body shop, that is when they offered to repair the column, two days later after accepting the offer to repair the column I was told I would have to remove all complaintsI said no, I was then told they would repair it but I could not have my vehicle back until all complaints were removed, blackmailing me is what he did, I called and asked the Revdex.com if he could do that and I was told it was illegaldays later I got a call saying the vehicle was ready and to pick it upI didOn the invoice they put that I agreed to remove all negative complaintsI did notAnd I just knew the owner would try and void my warranty for a job that I paid for, that took weeks longer than promised and $more than originally quotedNot to mention my son lost jobs because his vehicle was not returned as promised. My complaint was not about the breaking in and vandalism it sad about poor customer service, jacking up the price and keeping my vehicle weeks longer then promised, I was lied to several time's regarding when my vehicle would be finished, lied to about when they would be working on it.I do not feel I should be forced to remove legitimate complaints, I don't feel they have a right to void my warranty, if anything the owe my son lost wages for the weeks he had to be with out the vehicle. They owe me for all the stress and aggrevation they put me through. And the transmission rebuild is horrible, it clans and shifts hard and I have no place to take it to get properly repaired and no money to pay for it to new fixed correctly.Sincerely, [redacted]

Due to unforeseen issues, we are requesting a week to look further into the issue and get full details before a final responseWe truly appreciate your time and considerationWe take every complaint very seriously and want o make sure we address all concerns

The customer brought the vehicle in 7/27/15, dropped it off at 8am for us to inspect the vehicle After the vehicle inpsection a clutch replacement and slave cylinder were recommened The customer gave verbal authorizationon 7/27/at approximately 1PM, to replace the clutch assembly and slave cylinder, customer was advised that repairs would take to days due to the fact that the flywheel has to be resurfaced with every clutch replacement the flywheel resurfacing is done by a third party machine shop Tuesday evening the customer was upset because it was not completed, we advised her that we were waiting for the flywheel to return Immediately upon recieveing the flywheel the job was completed at approx noon on Wednesday The estimate never changed in dollar amount or in time We understant the customer was traveling and made all efforts to get it done as quickly as possible

RevDex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Our year unlimited mileage warranty comes with a certificate that states that all annuals need to be done each year to keep the warranty valid It is the customers responsibility to bring the vehicle in for the annual checks each year We appreciate your time and consideration

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I specifically asked that the clutch not be replaced and was told that I would be advised after they got into the transmission if the clutch was worn badly and need to be replaced In Oregon, this needs to be done in writing When I returned to the shop on Tuesday, my car was still sitting exactly where I had left it on SundayI had been told at am that they were working on my car, but at pm it had not been moved at all They did not start repairs on my car until I raised a ruckus about them not even starting on it in spite of the fact that they told me they had started and that I would have it back by the end of the day Tuesday How they expected to do a hour job in less than hours is hard to understand They did finally start on my repairs after pm on Tuesday and did not tell me that the clutch would need to be replaced until after the replacement had been done When I pointed out that Oregon state law and their posted policy states that I would be given a written quote for repairs, they gave me my car back with the repairs not done correctly and insisted on payment in cash, although they did take my debit card for 1/of the cost I was also told not to ever come back to AAMCO.Since then, my car has been back to the shop because there was an o ring that was leaking fluid because they did the repair incorrectly and it is back in the shop again because the slave cylinder is not working correctly The closest AAMCO is miles from me and I can't take my car there without a working clutch.I came to AAMCO because my slave cylinder went out and it was one of the worst decisions I have ever made for car repairs If I have to sue them to get my money back, I will If they were unable to do repairs on my car, I should have been told that I also should have been told how long they would need to do the repairs The repairs should have been done in a workmanlike manner and I should have gotten a written estimate for the repairs as required by state law and their written and posted policy I should not have had to take my car back to have all of the work they did completed successfully.Sincerely,*** ***

Ms*** has never, in her complaint, complained of the cost of the repair, or the estimate that was given to her, the estimate included the clutch. It was the clutch that was the problem, not just the slave cylinder, she was well aware of the clutch being replaced because that is the only time you turn a flywheel. On the original quote it included the cost of the clutch, she also states that she raised a ruckus and only then did we start the work, so she did want us to do the work. It is company policy not to give an exact time and day of completion, we stated we would try to get it done Tuesday, it was completed Wednesday approx noon. We still have not received a call from any Aamco or a request, or phone call from Ms***, she made no attempt to give us an opportunity fo fix her car, if it is not working correctly. Once again she can take it to any Aamco and if it is any part that we replaced it would be covered, parts and labor. Oregon State Law states a written estimate is given upon requestThank you for your time

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meSincerely, *** ***

The company had reached an agreement with Mr& Mrs***, which was stated on the repair order she signed. She said she would remove all negative reviews if we replaced the steering column, which we did. Therefore we feel if the customer does not keep their end of the agreement,
the customer has comitted a theft of service. We may be forced to void the warranty, we do not want to do this. If the customer does not keep their part, we have no choice. We did this in good faith which they agreed tothank you for your time and considerations

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: the "repairs" lasted miles I specifically asked that the clutch not be replaced and was told I would be sent pictures once they got in to the clutch I never received pictures and was not told the clutch needed to be replaced, in spite of talking to Shawn times after the flywheel was sent to be resurfaced, until the repair had been done The slave cylinder is leaking again after driving the car home, approximately miles Sincerely,*** ***

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
This is a fine-print loophole to get out of fixing bad work This fact wasn't expressed to me No doubt Aamco knows most people will miss this detail and void their own warranty There is an entire online document showing how to fight Aamco cases in court because the company has a shady history going back decades Our experience appears to be the typical one I make sure to tell everyone to run from Aamco because they destroyed our car

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: my engine light is onI have yet to receive a phone call from the owner or manager of this locationI picked up my vehicle and it has been driven only home which is less than one mile from AamcoThe car has been parkedAnd now my engine light is onThey claimed to have cleared EVERY engine codeYet my engine light is now onAnd it was NEVER on priorI wouldn't trust these folks to do any further work on my car I would like to communicate with the OWNERS of this locationI think it's unacceptable that the owner hasn't attempted to contact meI don't want to speak with the front desk man Dave.
It's frustrating to be left with a car in the same condition AND have to figure out why the engine light is on after they claimed to have fixed everythingI paid $only to be left in the same position
Aamco headquarters has NEVER returned my phone callsI have called on separate occasionsMy only option is to leave a voicemailThe representative who called me stated he would make contact with the local Aamco and then call me back This never happenedI honestly believe this is a classic case of a male dominated society taking advantage of a woman who knows nothing about carsThis is sexistIt is blatant discriminationI am so upset and disappointed that no one is concerned with resolution.
Again I reject this response from AamcoAsk them why on earth is my engine light on right now
Sincerely,*** ***

*** ** *** *** ** *** *** *** ** *** *** ***The vehicle was taken to Aamco with a check engine light illuminated.Mike of Aamco initially diagnosed the car problem as an ignition problem as well as an oil leak which he said was repaired and was supposed to have performed critical engine maintenance to the vehicleMike said he changed spark plugs and wiring which fixed the problem, although the engine sounded and ran worseThe check engine light came back on. Upon return to Aamco, Mike was apologetic for the trouble and then re-diagnosed the problem as one of the two catalytic convertersHe was so sorry, in fact, that he offered to install the part free of labor charges for a cost of about $1200.Mike said that one of the catalytic converters was replaced and showed me the vehicle on a lift and told me how dificult it to reach up in there to replace itI'm wondering if Mike really expects me to believe that, because the engine manifolds are usually on the top of the engineI trusted that he was just trying to say that it was a difficult repair to make, and I paid him the balance on my lunch break from work so that Floyda could get her car back upon completionThe check engine light came back on.The vehicle was returned to Aamco a third time so that Mike could "take a look at it"He returned the vehicle again with thecheck engine light offMike of Aamco said that it needed a second catalytic converter and that he would replace it free of labor charges for a cost of about $Mike also told me that the vehicle was safe to drive and that it wouldn't "just blow up"The check engine light began illuminating once again, this time within minutesMeanwhile, the running condition of the vehicleworsened and I checked the engine oil level to find not a single dropThe vehicle eventually stopped on the freeway and had to be towed.I learned later that the one of the most expensive catalytic converters costs about $and is available for under $300.I would like to invite Aamco to *** ** *** *** in Portland to take a look at it

During our interactions with *** we followed all our company policies and procedures. We have attached the emails, authorization and correspondence, explaining there would be additional cost on top of the base price. After the inspection of the transmission, I personally priced each
additional item, and the repair would have exceeded $4500, I called *** and explained to her this fact and explained to her if we bought a transmission core for $874, plus shipping, which is guaranteed, it would save her approximately $I explained the core charge, plus the shipping, which she acknowledges in her complaint and she gave me verbal authorization at the time. Two days later she stopped in to see how things were going, I agian explained the additional hard parts, and she signed for the additional amount. *** called the we told her her car would be completed, she spoke to the office assistant, Doug and she informed him she was going to come a couple hours early, stating she didn't have all the money and needed financing. This was the first time we had been told of this matter. When *** came in to the office, Doug and I spent approximately hours with her and tried to get her financed with different companies, during this time she never once brought up the dollar amount or questions or concerns, only after the finance companies denied her , did she become upset, because we would not release the vehicle without full payment, which is company policy. Later that evening, after speaking with my wife, we were going to make an exception to the company policy and release the vehicle without full payment and have her make the payments to us. She was happy and excited and said she would see me tomorrow morning. Approximately minutes later, on my personal phone, on my way home, I received a call from a gentleman identifying himself as her stepfather, instantly using profanity and vulgar language. After approximately minutes of letting him vent, I decided to change my mind and told him the offer is off the table. We also received a voicemail, profanity, vulgar and threatening on the company phone. The next morning I arrived to open the office, *** was at the front door with a gentleman I had never seen before, he instantly started verbally attacking me with profanity and threats, I asked him to please leave the property and he was not welcome insideHe attempted to enter the premises, I stepped in front of him and again asked him to not enter the premises, and told him I would call the police, and they both leftIt is Oregon Law and our company policy if a vehicle is left days after completion, we reserve the right to charge a $a day storage, which I advised *** of that morning. We also have signs posted stated such. For customer satisfaction, those charges that would have been approximately $1400, we chose to waive those fees when she picked up the vehicle. We appreciate your time. Thank you

*** came in the store with the complaint of no acceleration at all times, after diagnostics were done, there was a computer code for the throttle body The customer was advised that the throttle body needed to be replaced first, and then after the completion of the repairs, the vehicle
drove and accelerated, the original complaint was corrected, with the acception on highway speeds under hard acceleration the vehicle stumblesThis was verified with the customer on a road test This was explained to her by the technician, that additional repair is required to correct that faultWe were unable to verify the secondary complaint because the vehicle would never reach highway speedsWe followed the diagnostic flow chart to factory specificationsWhich determined that the fuel pressure was below factory specifications and a fuel pump was recommended, the customer declined the additional repairsThe code for the throttle body did not returnWe offered the additional diagnostic at no charge to determine the additional repairs required, the customer refused the serviceAt no time is it our policy to guarantee a repair to fix it 100%, as stated on her repair order and verbally expressed to her before any repairs were started
Thank you for your time
