Spoke with consumer on 5/**/17 (the following morning). Error was caused by system issue. Consumer was issued a refund and our apologies for the error and inconvenience.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by ABM Industries, Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
ABM has acknowledged that the damage caused to our vehicle is their responsibility. They stated they are sending us a check to pay for...

the damage and will also provide a loaner vehicle if we need one while the work is being completed. We clicked the link to accept their offer, and are still waiting to receive the check.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[My car was in fact moved from the spot it was parked. A few yards but nevertheless it was moved so that the person in front of me could move their car. The mechanic that worked on my car stated that regardless of what happened or the order that the events happened the fact remains that my car was forced into a different gear.  I found my car moved from the spot it was in and it was in third gear which is not the gear it was in when I left it in the lot.  also, I was asked to leave my car keys with the attendant despite the fact that I purchased a spot hero that assured me I had a parking spot.   The piece that was replaced was the gear shift cable.  I had filed a claim with ABM after speaking to their General Manager and I have been told that my claim is being processed.  I assume this means that the claim will be denied. My car was fine when I left it in the care of their attendant and whilst I understand that mechanical issues are not the responsibility of the parking lot this was not just an instance where my car failed due to wear and tear.  Someone forced my car into another gear while the engine was locked. What ABM failed to tell you was that their attendant told his manager (who later relayed this info to me) that the car wouldn't "start" and therefore he had to push it to move it out of the way.  Perhaps, their attendant needs to be interviewed to understand the events of the day.

Very poor customer service: I could not read the parking meter screen in the bright sunlight and as a result, went over about 20 min. The $44 ticket was disarming but the small print told me to pay $24 within two weeks (misleading?); while the $24 was not unreasonable, I requested a reduction due to the circumstances and included a photo of their screen. Within a few hours I received a form letter but with no amount for the reduction filled in. Wondering what this meant, I placed a call to the specified number and was directed to submit an e-mail. The agent was polite but had to check with her supervisor twice for this small request. Two e-mail attempts resulted in no response.

Revdex.com of Metropolitan New York, ABM Parking Services has received the customer complaint (ref# [redacted]) and appreciates the opportunity to respond. Specifically,...

[redacted] complains that her vehicle (2004 Buick Rendezvous) was damaged while in our possession. She would like towing charges and vehicle repairs to be reimbursed. Our investigation determined that the damage to the vehicle is of a mechanical nature, for which we are not liable. Our attendant on duty has been an ABM employee for over 20 years with a clean service record and no accidents. He has moved tens of thousands of cars in his career. He is a qualified driver, and is familiar with the make and model of the vehicle that [redacted] entered into our service. [redacted] arrived at our parking lot at 9am on 6/**/15. She parked the car herself and left the keys in the car (because she was blocking in another customer). When [redacted]’s car need to be moved, the attendant entered the vehicle, inserted the key into the ignition, put his foot on the brake, and turned the key. Nothing happened. With the key in the “on” position, the attendant put his foot on the brake and moved the shift lever into “neutral”. Nothing happened. The attendant left the vehicle in it’s place. When [redacted] returned to her vehicle later in the evening, the car was in the same space that she left it. [redacted]’s claim that “the attendant in his rush to move my car didn’t turn my car on properly and forced my car into a gear intending to put it into neutral” is inaccurate. [redacted] did not witness the attendant ever enter her vehicle, and this claim is very simply put an assumption. Furthermore, there is no reason for any vehicle to be put into neutral unless a prior mechanical problem exists that prevents the vehicle from being started and operated normally. While we understand the frustration that can be caused by mechanical failures with vehicles, we ask that you please keep in mind; vehicles are consumable products that wear down over time. The vehicle in question is 11 years old with high mileage. Her mechanic’s claim is an opinion, not a fact, and was given over the phone without any inspection. It’s ABM’s position that we did not damage the vehicle, nor are we liable for any damage to the vehicle. However, as part of our customer service efforts, we offered to extend the hours of her parking purchase for that day while she awaited a tow truck (which she accepted) and one month of free parking. ABM sincerely regrets any inconvenience this issue may have caused. Please feel free to contact me directly at ###-###-#### if you have any additional questions or concerns in this matter.

Their parking structure at 950 N. Kingsbury in Chicago needs for everyone to have their attitudes adjusted! Each time I park there I'm dealing with young minded females that play into the low intelligence low pay stereotype. I highly advise sooner rather than later this location makes a change as I will be consulting an attorney!

Review: On Oct [redacted], 2013, I was in need of parking my car at the ABM Parking Services for about 4 hours between the hours of [redacted]. The service at the parking seemed very fast and reliable until I waited about 20 minutes for my car to be delivered to me when I returned to the garage. When I finally received my car, I inspected the body of my car (having had issues with similar services in [redacted]) and noticed a damage on the rear bumper that was not there when I dropped off my car at the garage. When I notified one of the employees at the garage, without looking at what I was talking about he said that the damage was already there when I dropped off my car (showing me the note on the receipt that said "S/R/B" meaning "scratch on rear bumper", and the employee who I talked to was not even present at the garage when I dropped off my car. Surprisingly, the employee told me they wrote that when I dropped off my car because they had done an inspection and they noted that scratch on my receipt; at the time of drop off my car, it had 2 scratches that I knew of, none of which were noted on the receipt they were showing me as a result of their inspection. One thing that was noticeable when I went to the level where my car was parked (where no customer was present) was how the same employee who drove my car was drifting with the customer cars when he was delivering them to the their owners. This employee was impatient and was not willing to fully cooperate. He stalled me for about 45 mins to show me where my car was parked. After the 45 minutes of wait I finally had the chance to file an "incident report" with the manager on site and he told me that they will be contacting me regarding this report within the week. It has been 3 weeks now and I neither have received a call from them, nor they have answered they phone when I called after 2 weeks. This had been an extremely frustrating experience for the price I had to pay to park my car at the garage.

Review: I received a ticket even though I had paid for a parking spot. The problem was that I had paid for a different spot then where I parked. I contacted the company and sent in pictures of my receipt and offered to send a copy of my CC statement to show proof of purchase, and got a one line response "The ticket will be upheld as the space you were parked in was not paid for." I sent a reply to find out about the money I paid for spot 11, if that would be refunded since I got a ticket for spot 13. I heard no response. Violation number: [redacted] - states I had no payment in advance Receipt [redacted]. I paid at 6:10 A.M. Bottom line is I paid for a spot, it just happened to be the wrong spot number. I don't want a refund for my spot I paid for, because I used a spot, I want the ticket to be reversed because it was an honest mistake.Desired Settlement: Reversal of ticket

Review: I got a ticket on 4/**/2015. I emailed [redacted] and called number several times. These are both on ticket. I received no responses whatsoever. The lot was not marked with a sign to tell you to pay box if no attendant on duty. As I am not familiar with cleveland, I believe this ticket should be erased. I videotaped entire incident

I heard nothing until end of August where I was turned into a collection lawyer in Colorado. I don't feel I should be responsible for the ticket. Ticket number [redacted]Desired Settlement: Erase ticket and get me out of collections.
