Review: On 7/2/14 I spoke to [redacted], President of About Jobs, LLC regarding their service and paid $289.00 for a resume. I provided a completed questionnaire on 7/18/14 to begin. On 7/23/14 I had a phone interview with [redacted] to review my goals of the resume. I explained to him I hoped the resume would reflect my vast knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and desire employment as a Loan Officer. On 7/29/14, I received the resume, there were several errors and corrections were needed so I replied to [redacted] with a request to discuss the resume. [redacted] requested [redacted] to contact me regarding the resume. I spoke with [redacted] on 7/30/14 to review in detail the items which needed to be changed. Some of the errors were: Profile as an underwriter, not loan officer. Listed “commercial” lending (information was not provided by me and was not included in my questionnaire). Two separate jobs were listed as one. Incorrect date/information listed. I also expressed to [redacted] that I did not feel that the resume adequately reflected my skills/talents. [redacted] was to make changed and follow up with a revised resume.

I have not heard back from him since that last conversation. I sent him an e-mail on 8/7/14 and another one 8/14/14 (copying [redacted]). On 8/14/14 [redacted] forwarded me a request to schedule a time with [redacted] Kitsch. I replied to [redacted] that I had already reviewed the resume with [redacted] and I was still waiting on him to correct. I did not receive a reply from [redacted] by the next day so I called and spoke with him to ensure he knew I had not heard from [redacted] and to be clear that I was waiting and had not heard from [redacted] for over two weeks. [redacted] said he would find out what was going on and would follow up. I received an e-mail from [redacted] saying he spoke with [redacted] and “there was a communication issue and [redacted] was waiting on me”. [redacted] said [redacted] would be reaching out to “get it [redacted]e”.

I have yet to hear from [redacted] or [redacted]. I am very disappointed with this company.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the corrected resume which provides the company's claims of outstanding resume writing. The resume received contained several errors and was very basic. I had confidence that this service would adequately provide a professional resume.

Response:

We had some issues with my writer connecting with her - he said he called - she said she did not get any messages and so on.

In good faith, I assigned her to another writer who completed the package and she is now very pleased.

Review: Resume writing service and Linkedin account was requested and paid for on February 17. Questionnaire provided by gotthejob.com was completed and returned on the same day. "Interview" was scheduled with writing professional on February 22, at 1215 EST to gather additional information to complete the resume. Interviewer called over fifteen minutes late, was completely unprepared, and the interviewer spent the length of the 16 minute (an hour was scheduled) phone call repeating the material that was provided by me, back to me. I did not receive any response from the company until an enquiry was sent asking what the ETA was for the materials that had been purchased. Rough drafts of a resume and cover letter were finally received on March 5 at 1412 MST. Review of the materials was requested by the company and a reply was sent on March 9 at 0928 MST. Final documents and LinkedIn profile have not been received as of March 25 at 0730 MST. The resume rough draft that was submitted by the company was not a professionally written resume. All of the information that had been provided in the questioniare and old resume was simply cut, copied, pasted, and reformatted into a new résumé for an exorbitant amount of money. This is not a resume writing service, but rather a résumé formatting service that threatens the consumer with potential additional charges if more time is needed to compile information to complete the resume. Combine that and the fact that you the consumer have to request the products to be delivered to you in a timely and professional manner, makes the purchase not worth the excessive cost and time necessary to do business with.Desired Settlement: Due to the horrible experience with gotthejob.com and their failure to supply purchased products in a timely manner, a secondary source for a resume service has been sought. Only a full refund will be accepted as a resolution to this Revdex.com complaint.

Response:

Admittedly this order suffered from issues including ice storms, power and internet disruptions that created unexpected delays. I could argue that this was certainly not a cut and paste job and we did receive positive feedback from the client - I only wish he had contacted me directly so I could have remedied this situation.Nonetheless I am more interested in customer satisfaction so I will process a full refund.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I hired About Jobs a 2 months ago to rewrite my resume, and I completed the survey and had the telephone interview. The resume was written and 2 months later not one call from anyone. I called [redacted] 5 am PST because he asked me to call him because the resume was not working. After speaking to him he asked that I send two job examples, I did as he asked. 3 weeks later he sent me an email asking me to call so we can discuss the resume. I was so upset, I said forget it; I felt so scammed. After losing my Job, I lost another 300.00 with this service. Truly Disappointed!

Review: I purchased a Silver package (on 6/30/2015) that include Resume in 3 formats (printable, scannable, ASCII), Cover Letter, Thank You Letter and list of job boards, plus posting to up to 75 Web Sites including specialty job boards.

As of 8/21/2015 I have only received a incomplete resume and incomplete cover letter.

I contacted the resume writer (07/8/2015) for a completed cover letter and thank you letter by the writers work email but no reply...

I contacted by email the owner Don [redacted] (07/8/2015) to reduce my silver package to a basic and refund the difference of $80. He replied the same day he would.

8/21/2015 No refund has been given.

Response:

Apparently there was some confusion here which has been fully resolved. We do not send the final formats, Thank You letter and list of job boards until after the resume has been approved and we had not received that.We did refund his monies that same day for the job boards , but we got an error message we never received before and missed that. We have been in touch withthe customer and have provided the refund requested and all is well now.

Review: I contracted for this organization to do a "First Level Management Practice, LinkedIn Profile" package for $438 on June 24, 2014 and have received no product or service communication since then. I have also received no product. I would like a refund of my money. I have an e-receipt from a year ago indicating a transaction ID of [redacted]8.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the money I paid for the service. (that was not received)

Response:

The client signed up for our service in June of 2014.We use a comprehensive process to develop a resume. First they fill out a questionnaire that tells us what they have done in your career. Then we follow-up with an in-depth telephone interview to truly understand the best way to market them. The woman never sent in the questionnaire (the record for returning one is 4 years) so we will provide the refund she requested. I spoke to her and she is sorry she did not contact us before reporting us to the Revdex.com.
