Above and Beyond was sent out by our home warranty service. The technician was pleasant and professional however he completely misdiagnosed this issues pertaining my washer and dryer. On a Sunday evening while my son was washing clothes the dryer started smoking and within a few minutes the dryer was engulfed in flames. Thankfully due to my Wifi cameras and doorbell the entire incident was caught on camera. The technician stated there was not any evidence of a recent fire even though my entire house still smelled like smoke. The tech arrived 30 minutes early to which only my son was home and he didn't bother calling to speak with the homeowner to get the full details. Also the diagnosis of my washer was an overload of clothing; well the fire department through the clothes up in the washer to get them out of the way and the washer had not been used since the fire.
I have talked with this customer, she is very upset I understand. My tech dis try to call cust at number provided which told him number was no longer in service. The warranty company asks specific questions regarding what is found. We have high integrity as a company and tell it as we find it. Her claim of misdiagnosis is false. Yes she had a fire, we r sad to see that, but her son who is 19 yo did not hive any details or call his mother while my tech was there for anymore information. The warranty company is sending out another company for a 2nd opinion because of the odd circumstances with this unit. I feel sure they will come to same conclusions that my tech came to and she will most likely drag their company thru the mud as well. I tried to calmly explain our side to her for which she slammed phone down on me. I am sorry for her loss but she must deal with warranty company, we are only a contractor. We have to adhere to their guidelines as will the next contractor that goes out.
Above and Beyond Appliance Repair thankfully *** was able to come out and get everything straight. How was my phone disconnected and you and I had been texting. My washer needs a new valve because it was now properly bringing the water into the washing machine which was causing it to frequently pause. Your tech didn’t even bother testing the washer. Also the photo shows the fire started INSIDE by the motor. So yes it’s being replace. Who fakes a fakes a fire.

Very good people to deal with. On time early if possible. The first Tech Sam came to the house and looked at the dishwasher after the first company could not fix. *** took the time to try and diagnose but it was deemed unfixable. This guy took the time to try EVERYTHING possible. we were able to get the insurance to order a new dishwasher and I called them for the install. The new Tech (I cant remember his name for nothing) He showed up and installed the dishwasher very fast and professionally. Very good job and I rate this company for standing up to the company name.
r is working hard to identify a tricky electrical issue with my under counter ice maker. He has been great to work with and I appreciate his diligence. Very nice guy!
