Absolute Auto Care Reviews (26)

As we have already spoken to the B.A.R. we would like the car be taken to a licensed automotive repair facility and have it the starting problem diagnosed and replace the engine oil pan with any one that will work for the vehicle. There are many different applicationsfor this conversion. We already have the fuel pressure regulator that we beleave itls the cause of the stalling issue, not the fuel pump. Once we are contacted by a Licensed repair facility about the repairs needed to correct these issues we will be more then happy to pay them directly. We also are still offering to do the repairs as needed. Thank you for your time.

Review: My wife took this truck in for a Oil change they did a oil change and tuneup. The Appointment was for a oil change. We took the truck home the next day the engine started smoking, when we parked it the truck motor would not turn over right before parking the truck the engine light came on and said check gauges. When my mechanic checked the coil one of them had been cracked and started melting. (I have Pictures) My engine was froze up and my mechanic could not turn it with even a breaker bar.

He took the oil filter out and it was plugged up with thick oil or grease. He assumes they put bad oil in my truck or pumped some grease in on accident. after he pulled the oil pan off he found the engine was siege and the rd barrings were spun. This was not black slug it was the color of oil/grease.

The engine is now shot I would never do business with them again. My daughter took her car in they said it had a water pump leak and cross bar was bent, ect. When the mechanic came out to change the water pump he got under the car and looked for a leak ran the car and everything. He asked my daughter how often she added fluid she told him every 4-5 months a little bit. I feel they out right lied to her. The rods were fine to. My other daughter they told needed a new power steering pump she looked at it and it was not leaking and it is fine.

I feel they destroyed my engine with bad oil or they pumped grease on accident and lied about many other things. The truck was only supposed to have a oil change.Desired Settlement: My engine replaced.

Response:

When the truck arrived we were asked to replace the spark plugs and change engine oil. This work was completed. The next day the customer called and said that the engine was smoking. We asked them to bring in the vehicle and they never showed up. After reviewing the video of the oil change and spark plugs and seeing no faults in the repairs as well as confirmation of the correct oils installed we have determined that there is nothing that we can do for this consumer. We beleave there is some form of fraudulent gain that is in play here. Saying two other cars were miss diagnosed? We do not do work like that here what so ever. For some one to make statements as such there has to be wrong thoughts or trying to take advantage of a company. If there was a coolant leak documented there was a coolant leak. If there was a power stering leak documented there was a power stering leak. We would request that in writing from a licensed automotive repair facility inspect and document that Absolute Auto Care damaged the engine. If this can happen we will purchase an engine with equal miles on it and pay to have it installed. At this time we believe that we hold no cause for a damaged engine.

Business

Response:

there are few things that will cause all connecting rod barrings to spin, witch none we have caused to happen. We cannt allow someone to be able to walk into a business and make them pay for an engine replacement because the consumer says so. We requested that the consumer provide some info from a machine shop that states we put the sludge into there motor to cause it to go bad. The sledge is very common for dodges and some other makes and builds up over a long time. this is not a 1 day event, this situation is unfortunate but is the responsibility of the customers. Tell us why here...

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: this is not sludge this was thick grease or oil notice the color.

Review: Took vehicle Dec 2015 to buy & have installed a used LS1 motor & left a deposit of 3K.Was advised it would take approx 5-8weeks to have completed.no work was started til March 2016 after I advised I was going to report to Revdex.com they quickly replied said they didn't want them in their business and they will get started right away. The work started a couple days later however they stated still waiting on harness, the day the deposit was made they called to order the harness while I was there.but now on receipt says wasn't ordered til 1/10/16.Approx 2nd wk in Mar [redacted] requested I come to the shop every week to make sure progress is getting done.note the shop is 30 miles each way from my home.every week & often several times a week [redacted] asked I come back again to check progress. In the interim [redacted] suggested I needed a new transmission & he could get one for $1100 wasn't til the vehicle was done & receipt issued that the transmission is used. Was told vehicle was done 5/26/16 but when I arrived it wouldn't even make it several miles on a test drive without dying. They said they needed to try to fix it to come back next day by 2pm,showed up 5/27/16 took on a test drive home still wouldn't make it several miles without dying. They ordered another fuel pump after waiting there another hour still not repaired left the vehicle again.on 6/1/16 [redacted] said car was done but again wouldn't pass test drive without dying.on 6/2/16 said vehicle fixed brought home & died out.[redacted] sent a mechanic who couldn't fix it they towed it back to shop.6/3/16 [redacted] said fixed & he test drove it, I picked it up on 30 miles drive home died out 4times. Next day it started again but broke down 2 miles from home. I had vehicle towed & mechanic look at it appears not an LS1 motor as was advised I bought.Fuel pump wasnt installed properly & transmission lines used on fuel pump, oil pan came from truck the motor came from & dangerously hangs approx 6inches from a crossmember they made from scrap metal.Desired Settlement: Want money back so I can take to a ASE certified shop to buy the LS1 motor I thought I bought & have it installed professionally.

We are very shocked that this customer has filed a complaint. We originally took on the job on Dec 22 2015 and explained to the customer that it would take approximately 8 weeks to get the job started because it would take that long to receive the wiring harness. the customer came in at the 8 week marker for an update and we told him that we still have not received the harness, he was also informed that we have no reason to remove the no good [redacted] motor from his 1974 cutlass until we have the parts (wiring harness and fuel pump all ordered parts) to install the 2002 ls motor from a [redacted] Tahoe. He seemed to be upset and miss understanding things. we then took time to explain that the job we were contracted to do is a conversion from a old carburated car to a computer controlled engine with fuel injection. this is no something quick to do and will take the time it is going to take and that we will pull the engine out of his car and start doing the mock up for the LS motor to be installed. this was mid March. we then called to find out where our wiring harness was to find out that it was on back order still and we canceled it with them. during the removal of the [redacted] motor we found that he has a Buick [redacted] and [redacted] only transmission. we then contacted the customer with the news that the Ls motor will not bolt to his existing transmission and we found one at the recyclers for 1100 with low miles on it and he said to buy it and he came back the next day with the payment of the transmission and seen that we received it with the drive line yoke and lines and dipstick and tube all from the same vehicle. it was a 4l80e witch is the better more heavy duty transmission that could have been installed in his conversion. we then ordered a wiring harness from PSI conversions with a programed computer for his gear ratio in the rear end and the shift speeds of the tranny per his tire size. we received all the parts in April contacted the customer and told him that we are assembling the job and we support the customers coming to the shop and seeing this process so that they stay informed. we started the engine and had customer hear it run so we could then send it to the exhaust shop. he was very pleased. when the car was finished at the exhaust shop we drove it back to the shop so we could dial the job inn and get customer to pick it up. the customer came in to pick it up and we had him test drive the car to find out that there is a fuel supply issue that we needed to take a look at. we found that the gas tank had sucked in some dirt and caused the fuel pressure regulator to stick closed and make it hard for the fuel pump to pump correct pressure. we then installed a see thru inline filter so we could monitor the amount of debris getting into the fuel lines and replaced the regulator at no charge. the car drove fine and we contacted the customer and stated that it was ready for pick up. he came inn and test drove the car for a long time with no issues. he drove it away and a few hours later called us and said it just did the same thing. we sent a tech out to the car to check up on it and he determined that it was parked in an unsafe place to do anything on the street of down town Sacramento and he would rather it be towed to the shop for the inspection, so we towed it to the shop. we found that there was air being sucked into the fuel pump at the new filter that we installed so we repaired that fuel line that was causing the air. we drove the car for 30 plus miles and found it to be driving great. contacted the customer and informed him that it was ready for pick up. he came in and seen some debris in the fuel filter before the fuel pump and asked it to be cleaned out again, and we did. he test drove the car and came back and stated that it was dieing out again. we were perplexed and realized that we just opened the fuel system when we did the clean out of the filter for him. Asked that he went and drove the car with the tech again and explained that the air needed to work its was out of the lines. he drove it again and stated that it drove good and he drove it home. two days later he contacted us stating that it died out again he was informed that we will order a performance fuel filter/regulator to resolve his issue as was stated to us by speed way motors tech support, the supplier of the fuel pump so we did order it and it is in our possession. Customer was contacted and informed that if he wanted to pick up a 4 speed shifter (witch he needs) that when the fuel pressure regulator shows up we would install the shifter at no charge for customer relations and resolve his fuel issue. As for the oil pan being low they make 5 different engine oil pans for it and we have a 7 inch drop oil pan and pick up tube ordered with speed way motors to install on the car when it was to arrive for its mandatory 500 mile check up, customer is aware of all of this information and has agreed to it all. the fuel pump in the wrong location is an inaccurate statement made to the customer by some one other then us. There is no reason to refund any monies, the job is guarantied. The conversion has some bugs and the bugs need to be addressed for the customer. There is nothing out of the ordinary going on with the car. It is simple things that we are addressing for the customer. Converting a old system to a new system has some complications that need to be handled and we are willing and able to address them for the customer. The customer should contact us and we will towed the car in and complete the issues as explained. sorry for any and all in convinces this may have caused, we are on top of it with the highest priority and have all vendors of the parts we purchased on call awaiting the vehicles arrival.

I am rejecting this response because: The work should've been completed as warrantied and promised, I was told from [redacted], "you could drive the car to New York and back with no problems" I haven't been able to drive to the other side of town. I was also told by [redacted]," now that we tried this on your car, let your friends know I have mached this up and I have spare materials and could do one of these now in a few days, I'm ready". The vehicle is not only not running without breaking down its unsafe. I would feel even more uncomfortable and unsafe letting them continue to use my vehicle as a guinea pig when I paid a lot of money to get no results and my safety is at risk. If they were so certain of their work why should I have to take the car back numerous times to let them TRY to fix it. If they weren't capable of fixing it correct the first, second or third time. I need a professional to go through the vehicle and fix everything that is wrong & safely. To be told continuously I only did what the book says is a little scary. Are the three or four guys that worked on it even certified for repairs, including [redacted]? The clear fuel filter wasn't installed because of fixing anything they were doing trial and error because they said they had no idea why it wouldn't stay started. Three fuel pumps later and now a fourth one, it appears that may not be the problem, why should I let them try a fourth time to make a another mistake. My vehicle was with them for 6 months. I was without it and still continue to be until a professional can look at it and repair it so I know its safe. And now all of a sudden by text another fuel pumps is ordered, another oil pan, should all of this have ben completed to begin with? They want more time to practice on my vehicle, I cant afford to waste any more time or money or my personal safety with this place. I have attached the latest text message.

Review: I took my car to the shop to get it diagnosed to and fixed to pass smog. After a day I was called and told the car was fixed, it was showing a lean code and the mechanic had found the leak and repaired it, that it should pass smog now but if it did not I could bring the car back. When I went to pick the car up the receptionist told me the mechanic found a serious water leak that would be fixed by replacing the radiator. She also said I needed new valve cover gaskets. I agreed to the work and picked the car up the next day and paid. It took it the next day to a smog shop and it failed miserably for 5 different reasons. I told the smog technician I had taken it to be fixed prior to coming to him and he was astounded that so many problems had been over looked during the diagnosis of the car. I left the smog shop, called Absolute Auto care and relayed this new information to the receptionist. She cut me off mid story and said since I had taken the car to a smog shop and got an official fail she could no longer help me and referred me to some other shop. I pointed out her contradictions, and then a mechanic took the phone from her and told me to bring the car in. I was confused and no longer trusted the establishment. Also, after paying for the 3 services above mentioned, the receptionist asked for $15 for gas they had put in the car. I got no receipt for that transaction, which I should have, and the car was on empty, it took a full tank of gas after leaving the shop.

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

I would like a complete refund for the $65 I spent for the inspection labor for the smog related issues since they did not find out fully what was wrong with the car and the code they claimed to have fixed still came up at the smog shop. I want a partial or complete refund for the $140 radiator and the $85 labor for replacing the radiator. The car still leaks antifreeze profusely, which is hazardous and was the only reason I paid for the radiator in the first place.

We are sorry that we have let a consumer of ours even get close to loosing faith in our work. There is a difference between a engine light scan for a driving concern and one that is needed for smog reasons. All smog related reasons must go to a smog repair shop. By law we must recommend that the customer does go to another shop for these repairs. We are sorry for this great inconvenience but we must follow the laws. When the car first came to the shop it was noted for the po171 code (bank 1 system to lean). she had to come back in for an appointment to do the diagnostic. She came in 7 days later and We inspected the vehicle and found a lot that could be the cause, starting with the air box not in place and the air tube clamps loose and off. spark plugs sitting in oil and the car running bad. we recommended to fix the visual items wrong with the car then clear the code and have customer drive the car so that the computer can run its system checks and if the code came back on we could look deeper into the cause. she was not charged for these items except the valve cover oil leak. we also noticed that the radiator seem was broken and leaking coolant, she could not drive the car let alone have anyone run the car for checks with this problem and she was advised of this. we replaced the radiator and coolant there was no more leak when it left the shop.

As for a refund on the diagnoses we are willing to give it as a refund back to her card when ever she likes.due to the fact that it turned out to be a smog concern and we did not repair the issue or give her a cause of the issue the refund will be given.

As for the radiator if it has a leak it needs to come back to the shop maybe at the same time that we refund the $65.00 and be inspected for any warranty work needed. It is a life time warranty part and could be covered by the vendor.

Again we are sorry that we could not be any further help with the smog situation on the car.

please inform her that we value our consumers and understand the frustrations of smog regulations. We will do what is needed to satisfy her concerns. Thank You; Management

Review: Absolute Auto Care did not render services that were promised per the written estimates that I had paid for. I brought my boat to them, which had sustained some damage in the fiber glass hull. They were supposed to complete the following:

1) Repair Fiberglass damage by Re-fiber glassing the affected areas.

2) Apply new Gel Coat to the affected areas

3) Remove and replace old audio equipment with new equipment provided by me

4) Replace all of the interior with the highest quality Vinyl

5) Re-carpet the interior with the highest quality marine carpet

6) Replace steering cable

Here's what I got instead: No fiber glass work, just covered up with bondo type spray. No Gel-Coat, rather a think layer of PAINT around the ENTIRE top portion of the boat's Hull. Sloppy paint with over spray all over the place. Lies - I was told on numerous occasions that the boat was finished - yet when I ask specific questions like "did you remove all the speakers" the answer was "No." Or, "your boats done come pick it up." Me "great I'll be there in 2 hours is it all finished?" Them "Yes, except the speaker you sent us (2 months prior) don't fit so we skipped the speaker installation." What?? They couldn't have called me 2 months ago to inform me I provided the wrong speakers. [redacted] told me on numerous occasion this was done, yet when I ask as I'm on my way to get the boat, it hasn't been done. In addition, I pre-paid [redacted] @ Absolute Auto for most of the work at 3 different intervals. She said she needed to "buy parts and fabrics" and pre-pay some of her employees. So stupid me, I pre-paid 3/4 of the total. Overall this was horrible craftsmanship. They lied about the work they said they performed, lied about completion, did a horribly sloppy job on the repair, and didn't reassemble the boat properly. There are missing screws, paint over spray (mind you its supposed to be GEL COAT, not PAINT), wires hanging out, seats that don't fit, and upholstery that was done poorly. I got ripped off and defrauded.

Product_Or_Service: Interior and Fiber-Glass Work

Order_Number: [redacted]Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

I want my money returned and to have them cover the costs of redoing the mess of a job they performed. I think they should also be fined for lying to customers. Not only is what they did poor workmanship, its a safety issue. Fiberglass on a boat is like the frame of a car. If its damaged it needs to be fixed, otherwise the integrity of the vehicle is jeopardized. That could literally cause death to someone.

IN REGARD TO THIS CUSTOMERS COMPLAINTS, MR. [redacted] WAS GIVIN A MUCH HIGHER ESTIMATE AND DECLINED THE WORK AND ASKED WHAT WE COULD DO FOR A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF MONEY, HE ONLY WANTED TO SPEND A CERTAIN AMOUNT WITCH WAS CONCIRTABLY LESS THEN OUR ESTAMATE. SO WE ADJUSTED THE REPAIRS AND QUALITY TO MATCH THE CUSTOMERS AUTHORIZED AMOUNT OF WORK, SIGNED AUTHORIZATION WITH A WRITTEN ESTIMATE. NEVER DID WE EVER HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH THE CUSTOMER IN REGARDS TO THE FINEST MATERIALS AVALIBLE TO BE USED. HOW EVER WE DO USE STANDARD MARINE QUALITY MATERIALS PROVIDED BY ONE OF THE BEST COMPANIES KNOWN IN THE BUSINESS (LOCAL AND ACROSS THE UNITED STATES). WE HAVE RECIEPTS AND WARRANTIES THAT COME WITH THE PRODUCTS WE PURCHASE. ABSOLUTE AUTO CARE DID NOT EVEN KNOW THAT THE CUSTOMER HAD BEEN PAID OUT ON AN INSURANCE CLAIM FOR THE REPAIR OF HIS BOAT, UNTIL THE INSURANCE COMPANY CALLED US AND WE HAD THE INSURANCE COMPANY CALL THE CUSTOMER DIRECT, WE WERE BEING PAID BY THE CUSTOMER AND HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF A CLAIM.

ABOUT OUR POLICY, ON SPECIAL ORDER MATERIALS AND PRODUCTS WE REQUIRE PAYMENTS IN THRIDS. THESE NOTICES ARE POSTED THROUGH OUT THE WAITING ROOMS AND FRONT OFFICE, CUSTOMER WAS INFORMED AHEAD OF TIME.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS THAT THE CUSTOMER'S BROTHER DROPPED OFF IN SEALED BOXES, ABOUT 4 WEEKS BEFORE THE INTERIOR WAS COMPLETED, IT IS TURE WE DID NOT OPEN THE BOXES UNTILL THE INTERIOR WAS FINISHED AND WE WENT TO INSTALL THE CUSTOMER SUPPLIED SPEAKERS AND THEY WERE THE WRONG ONES. THE CUSTOMER HAD A DEAD LINE OF COMPLETION AND IT WAS TO LATE ON THAT DAY TO INSTALL SPEAKERS WE DID NOT HAVE. HOWEVER THE CUSTOMER DID SHOW UP WITH THE CORRECT SPEAKERS AT CLOSING TIME AND ABSOLUTE AUTO DID HAVE A CREW STAY 3 HOURS LATE TO INSTALL THEM AT NO OVER TIME CHARGE TO THE CUSTOMER, SO IF THERE WAS WIRES HANGING DOWN THEN WE ARE SORRY (IT WAS DARK AT THIS TIME). AND WE ARE MORE THEN HAPPY TO CORRECT THE ISSUE.

Consumer's Final Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

My issues with your shop still remain. You guys flat out lied to me. I have it in writing. You put in writing and in our verbal conversations that this boat was getting gel coated and you went ahead and took the cheaper way out by painting it. Even as I picked the boat up and pointed some of the many flaws, you still said that it was gel coat. Another Lie right to my face. You knew that I wasn't knowledgeable about the situation and you tried to take advantage of me. NOT OK!

2nd, I have contacted many shops that fix fiber glass on boats. Not one says that Fibal (as its called) is an appropriate repair. Furthermore, I contacted U-POL who makes Fibral and they said and I quote "Fibral alongside with layering actual Fiberglass is an appropriate repair, however you cannot use Fibral alone." So you lied to me there as well.

3rd - Speakers. Why did you tell me the boat was finished only for me to find out an hour later, as I'm on my way (100 mile drive) that the speakers I had originally purchased wouldn't fit? Are you telling me that the interior just got finished that day? You had the boat for over two months and the repairs were only supposed to take 2-3 weeks! furthermore you lied to me again. You told me the boat was done a week prior, but I was unable to pick it up.

And lets rewind just a tad. On another occasion you told me that all of the speakers had been removed along with the amps and Sub. I paid you for that, you had it written in the estimate. Yet when I went to go pick up the audio equipment, the only thing removed was the BATTERIES! And to top it off, I drove two hours to get there and was told by you that I would have to remove them myself because your guys were "too busy." I spent two hours of my own time borrowing your tools to remove the audio equipment that I PAID you to do AND you told me that it was ALREADY done. So you lied again.

And you ask why I didn't bring this up as I waited at your shop for 7 hours? Thats because I didn't know you ripped me off on the "gel coat." I didn't know about fiberal. I found these out after I took my boat to the dealer for service and was informed that the boat was absolutely incorrectly repaired and its going to cost more money to redo your mess than it would have been just to sell the boat as is.

Oh and your interior work - HORRIBLE. Its falling apart already. Lets not forget that the back hatch doesn't fit and you tried to send me on my way with out fixing the mounts on the rear seat claiming "it was like that when you received the boat." However your own mechanic said he saw your upholstery guy remove the mounts and that they were in his possession.

Why aren't you honest with people, and why don't you do as you say? This is no way to run a business and I hope that throughout this mess, no one will ever have to deal with a shop like this again. Taking advantage of people's lack of mechanical and repair knowledge is just not right.

I don't want you touching my boat. I don't trust you touching my boat. You've deceived me numerous times. You should pay me for my time and the costs to repair your shotty work.

Review: 01/9/15 I picked up my 2004 Ford F-150 from Absolute Auto Care after having repairs done for a timing issue the price of those repairs was $1568.10. For three weeks after that I had to take it in to them for oil leaks from the repair. 6/11/15 11:28am Check engine light came on with a timing issue same problem I had in January. I called Absolute Auto Care and was told to bring the truck in. They told me (over the phone ) the parts were covered by the warranty but the labor was not. 06/15/15 1:33pm Had not heard from Absolute Auto Care so I called them. I was told by [redacted] the owner of the shop that the repairs were not done and not even started because I never authorized the repairs but I was never called. I told [redacted] that I was moving and needed the truck. He told me that the repairs were not covered under the warranty because it was something different. He told me it was the VCT solenoid. I told him I replaced both of those before I brought it to them in January. He said it was bad. So I had him replace it. 06/15/15 5:02pm Was called by [redacted] and told the truck was almost done I could come and pick it up. I paid $250.00. 06/15/15 6:20pm Called Absolute Auto Care told them that the check engine light came back on and I was going to bring the truck back to them. 06/16/15 2:25pm was called by Absolute Auto Care (talk to [redacted]) needed authorize to tow my truck to Elk Grove Ford for a second opinion at no cost to me. I authorize the tow. 06/19/15 1:47pm Called Ford to see if Absolute Auto Care had picked up my truck. Was told by ford they needed to do more testing and Absolute Auto Care did not authorize it and they were going to pick it up that day. 06/22/15 4:59pm Was called by Absolute Auto Care (talk to [redacted]) my truck was still at ford and I needed to call Elk Grove Ford. 06/22/15 5:06pm Called Elk Grove Ford (talked to [redacted] in service) he thought my truck had been picked up by Absolute Auto Care. [redacted] told me my truck was still there. Absolute Auto Care was not going to pick it upDesired Settlement: I would like a refund of all repairs done at Absolute Auto Care since 01/09/15 total of $1818.10.

Response:

This vehicle arrived to Absolute Auto Care 1-7-15 with a very loud engine noise. The customer had done some repairs himself to try and fix the problem before arriving to us, which included replacing the cam sensor, dtc valve, right side cam fazor and in the process broke a rocker bolt and did not install all the valve cover bolts ( so the vehicle arrived with oil leaks) . Customer was also aware at time of arrival that the left side timing chain was loose. We recommended a complete timing chain kit and left cam fazor. Work was completed and the noise stopped and engine running good. This vehicle did return 2 times for oil leaks related to the leaks we it arrived and for customer service they were fix at n/c to the customer. June 15th 2015 the vehicle came back to us (6months later and 7000 miles later) for engine run ability and engine codes. (no engine noise at this time). We inspected the codes and found the vct selenoid failure. The customer authorized the part, however this did not solve the issue. We recommend going to the dealer for a 2nd opinon and this would be done at the dealer inspection fee of $140.00 and at n/c to the customer. The dealer call us back and recommended to tear down the engine to find out why there is a oil problem and possible broken internal parts. We called the customer and ask if he wanted to talk to the dealer to be able to make a informed decession on the next repairs needed. At this time we were informed by the dealer that the customer decided to buy a new vehicle and not repair the truck. We at Absolute Auto Care feel that since there was a 6 month and 7000 miles on our repair and no issues that our job was done correctly. We do feel that the second diagnose did not help the run ability so we feel that a refund of that $ 249.27 and $500.00 for customers relations for a total of $ 749.27 refund would be fair. If the customer can understand that both sides of the story is in fair understanding and would appreciate the solution , then please inform us a address that we can send a check to. Sincerely Absolute Auto Care 7-28-15

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: The highlighted information is not correct. The truck was there about a week before 01/07/15. There were no oil leaks. I brought the truck back to them once a week for three weeks and on the third time they replaced the valve cover gasket on the driver side which was the same side that the cam phaser was replaced and you have to take the valve cover off to get to. I brought the truck back to them 06/11/15 not 06/15/15 I remember I was moving to a new house that week and I had to call because [redacted] didn’t call me to tell me what was wrong with my truck. I called 06/15/15 and talked to the boss Danny my truck was there four days. It wasn’t 6 months from the first repairs. The first repairs were completed 01/09/15 and I brought it back to them 5 months 2 days later on 06/11/15. Same rough idle and engine noise from the first repair. It wasn’t recommend they asked for authorization to tow my truck to ford for a second opinion. I didn’t know that was code for we are going to leave it there. I wasn’t asked if I wanted to talk to ford about more repairs I was told that my truck was still at ford and I needed to call them if I wanted it fixed. I don’t understand why Absolute Auto Care can’t stand by their work and be honest with me that they couldn’t do the work. That is why I am asking for a full refund of$1818.10

Response:

Company states: The work we were asked to do on the vehicle prior has been completed as agreed. We are still offering a refund for the cam sensor and the cost of the diagnostic to the dealer along with a good will gesture for the troubles for a total of $749.27.
