You think about using this bank please please turn around now change your mind and find a better Bank this bank has cost me over $in fees that were not my fault fees that came from some of their very own programs so I have opted out of using this bank today is the day that I drew the line when they remove $from my account due to return item fees from a transaction that I did not approve it was through YouTube and since they have paperwork stating that I put my information on the website they used that information to them fight the dispute and then not give me back my money I understand that needs to be paid in such cases but when this Bank tells you that your account should not be charged if you don't have the money for opting out of overdraft protection they are lying there is no way to get around this and unfortunately I am parting ways with this company because of it so please do not put yourself through the same mistakes that I made
I left academy bank I was going to overdraft my account so I could pay my rent because I had my direct deposit going into that account that next weekI called the branch and spoke to one of the tellers and asked what my limit was and if I had a overdraft? teller stated that I did have a overdraft available to meI proceeded and went down to another branch and they stated that I did not have a overdraft limit availableI asked the teller why there was no overdraft? teller told me to contact customer serviceso I went back out to my car and called the razorback location spoke to manager and asked him why I didn't have my overdraft limit available? I had a overdraft not even hours priormanager stated that there is no overdraft I asked why again and he said at this time your od is $so I said ok and hung up the phone and contacted customer service and the gentleman that was helping me stated that it said on my account that I requested that my Overdraft to be removed .I NEVER REQUESTED SUCH THING! so I had called back to the branch and asked the teller to print out screen shots of my account and he did and it dose in fact state that " customer requested overdraft be removed"I contacted manager and asked him why he did this and he said that he had no idea what I was talking about and completely lied to meabout a week later I called bank and for another screen shoot of my accountmanager had gone back into my account and changed it to "branch requested OD be removed"I am writing this complaint due to the fact that bank went into my personal bank account and made changes that I never requested and then lied to me on top of it allits very unprofessional and invading to my personal bankalso makes me not want to have a bank account again or even trust a bank with my money
The Tampa, Fl branch SHUT DOWN WEEKS AGO!
And I wasted hours and gas money to drive over to open account that your telephone staff acknowledged was still available.....and your headquarters person TOLD ME TAMPA BRANCH WAS STILL OPEN! (Yet she could not furnish local phone number.....nor could/would she transfer my call!)
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
It would be the RIGHT thing for you to send me a $Visa gift card to recoup my time and expenses WASTED due to poor improper training of your employeesI EXPECT THIS CLOSING TO BE POSTED ASAP....or I'll contact Florida banking dept to alert them to this protocol failure on your partMISLEADING and DECEITFULA reply would be the RESPONSIBLE and PROFESSIONAL action....but I doubt those terms seldomly apply to Academy BankTRULY SAD
