CBH and Electrician have met with buyer and will be making an adjustment in the electrical wiring to owner to have their own electrician to hook up their hot tubCBH Electrician should be there this am 10-28-

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: CBH was notified within the 1st year that an issue occurred but refuse to take action because we were not the 1st ownerThey are very aware that problems continue and inspections are not always accurate as they do not test usuageI would understand electrical failure from a home more then yrs old but a home less then yrs old with problems in the 1st year shows that something was not done correctlyI am not sure if Corey B*** is waiting for this homes electrical issues to kill someone or my family before they take responsibility but I am willing to attempt to resolve this issue before it comes to thatAll I am asking for is CBH to fix the electrical issue and make the home we bought safe.
Sincerely,
*** ***

See attachment- This attachment was presented to buyer/owner at the New Home Orientation walk-through signed, accepted and agreed to by initials and signature prior to closing of the said property.
It is summer and it is HOTThe temperatures have been it the high to low 90s for the last
several months and no rain during this same timeThe owner is responsible for the maintenance of their yard including the sprinkler system and the amount of water that is applied to the yard No Warranty.
Standing or puddling water in the yard could only be caused by over watering from he sprinkler system set and controlled by the ownerThe soil becoming completely over saturated with too much water over time by the watering schedule of the sprinkler system over time will caused standing water or pooling and ultimately cause more and more damage if not corrected by owner
It IS NOT recommended to turn off the sprinkler system during the watering seasonIT WOULD BE SUGGESTED to lower the amount of water that is being applied to the the yard or specific areas of the yard.
The mention of a ditch in the yard Confusion/Correction: There IS NOT a ditch in their yard THERE IS a drainage ditch that is directly on the north side of their property the borders their yard
Thank you,

As I understood from the meeting at our home, capping the sprinklers was a step taken to simply be able to ascertain what the next step needs to be. There is without a doubt a lot more that needs to be done in order to fix the situation. Capping a few heads is not a fix. What has been done will absolutely not solve the issue. We just now made contact to resolveOwner had already hired someone to repair. No replacement or repair cost will be reimbursed. No extended warranty will be available Thank you

I am rejecting this response because:The cracking up began before the winterNo chemicals were used on the driveway at all during the winterI’ve lived in areas that use excessive chemicals on concrete and the degradation of concrete does not happen like this in those areaI’ve had independent concrete professionals look at it and all have come to the same conclusionThe driveway was poured on March 23nd 2016, where the temperatures dipped below zeroThe driveway was not covered which caused the moisture to freeze and create voidsThese voids are week and the cracks and spalling are a direct result of improperly finished and uncovered when poured and below zeroIn addition the company that poured the driveway was obviously not a quality concrete finisherThey improperly poured out back patio and had to repour it due to not sloping it properly which is basic knowledge when doing concrete workThey did not even last two years in business due to the poor workmanship, and so many projects that had to be redoneCBH is just trying to use the excuse of chemicals and harsh winter to get out of having to re do the drivewayThey have no independent person to verify their claim where I have actually had professionals (which were paid) and an insurance adjuster all tell me that it was improperly poured and finishedJust looking at my driveway from the very beginning you can see there is something wrong with itI will even pay for an independent professional to come and evaluate the driveway if they accept their determination, as I have already done so once I am confident anyone else will come to the same conclusion.Sincerely,*** ***

There was an large wind storm (Act of God). The concrete blanket was picked up and removed the very next morning of the storm. We are unaware of any damage as of the date of this replyIf there is any such damageThis should be reported to the homeowners insurance. Thank you for
your help,

The community sidewalk was poured over when to community was developed over 10 years ago. Ice melt applied to the driveway by owner or other voids the builders warranty.

CBH Homes has met with [redacted] at the parent home. All items have been addressed with the 1 exception. Hall bath fiberglass built-in tub has cracks in the base that need to remedied. CBH will be scheduling this to be completed and will follow up with available times.
Thank you for your help.

I am rejecting this response because: I filed a lawsuit and have won, so you obviously are not very forthright in your claims. Good luck to you in the future of snowing over others and depriving them of quality work. For me I achieved the desired outcome of getting the concrete replaced. Thanks for your non help and stonewalling.
Sincerely,

CBH Homes does not approve and will not condone of this behavior. In fact we go to great lengths and cost to provide toilets for all worker to use as needed through construction in all communities. There are many workers that come and go as work starts and finish from day to day. The contractor...

on site have been contacted and warned. Sorry for the hassle,CBH Homes

CBH Homes visited the home and reviewed the driveway in April 2017 and responded to owner May 5, 2017.Surface of the driveway was pitted and had spalling across entire driveway. This is caused by the use of de-icer/ice-melt by the owner. The use of these products voids home-builder warranty and is...

the homeowner responsibility. 2017 Winter - January, February & March were EXTREMES & RECORD BREAKING. The Freeze-Thaw-Freeze-Thaw from these weather extremes WITH THESE UNWARRANTED CHEMICALS  (de-icer/ice-melt) caused the surface damage. No replacement or cash settlement with be offered.     Tell us why here...

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This was not an act of God it was a lack of judgement on the builders behalf. How do you put tarps down and not think to put something on them at night? I emailed numerous times and nobody cared to get back to me with that shows me it's a lack of responsibility when you do something wrong and don't care to even follow up to see if the victim is OK or not. This was the only way somebody would even acknowledge me. This should stay on their permanent record so other people can see how they are at customer service

Contract was negotiated by both buyer and seller.
Contract was accepted and both buyer and seller and closed.

CBH Homes has reviewed and made adjustments to the exterior door to help improve the performance and is committed to this. With all exterior doors it is not uncommon to experience some moisture at this point as the door is opened/closed and person(s) entering or exiting with wet shoes or weather...

potentially entering during this act. Owner is responsible to maintain this and prevent damage and not let water collect or sit for prolonged amount of time. This area also has additional caulking/sealing to help prevent any damage from occurring should some moisture to be present.

As admitted in fact by the owner in the complaint and to CBH in person. The Owners Tower Garden was placed in the corner and had been leaking and caused the damage to the floor and made it bubble.

The tower garden leaked so much it went under the baseboard in the corner behind the tower garden and it soaked into the particle board sub-floor and caused the all damage or bubbling to the flooring. You could see that water/moisture had been in the corner on the framing members for a prolonged amount of time. The exterior door did not cause any of the damage incurred to the [redacted]'s home nor did it cause for an insurance claim to be filed by the [redacted]'s. Therefore no refund will be given.

Thank you,

This was a Build Job CBH Homes built specifically for [redacted]. In this process CBH Homes owns a home site that Ms. [redacted] selected along with her desired CBH Homes 2 story home plan.
The selected home plan was drawn using auto-cad computer design by a professional home designer of the...

specific home plan on the desired home site. Ms [redacted] did indeed select to have the home pushed further back on the lot at an agreed price. The work to be done to push the home back on the lot is extensive as all of the utilities and city sidewalk are at the front of the lot. This work would include ALL utilities (water, sewer, power) separate trenching for each utility, compacting of all trenches, inspections, concrete labor prep, 3/4" sub-base,compaction of sub-base, concrete labor, concrete and haul-off.
The plan was redrawn with the home pushed back on the lot as desired. This plan was reviewed Ms. [redacted] and approved in writing by Ms. [redacted] on 12-2-2015 (buyer copy available if needed). The rest of home selections were made and approved by buyer and CBH Homes proceed into construction of the home to completion.
The home is built exactly as the plan shows on the the plan approved by Ms.[redacted].  No refund will be given.

Thank you,

Addendum # 8  to Contract Signed by both buyer, seller date 7-29-16. Item # 3 with reference to Attachment "E". Fence gate is installed as per this Attachment E signed and agreed to by both buyer and seller.
Previous attachment by Mr [redacted] is not signed/agree by seller and/or makes no attachment to any contract and there is not mutually agreed to nor apart of any contract with reference to this property.
Thank you,

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: We have already dug a drainage ditch along the back fence line, as our yard was being consistently washed out from the uphill neighbors lawn watering, as your warranty supervisor was also shown when he came to inspect the issue prior to this complaint. While that worked for a short time, the consistent onslaught of water running downhill has saturated it to the point that is no longer running the ditch and going out, but building up on our back fence line like a swamp. As was also previously stated, I meticulously programmed the sprinkler system so that it runs for the CBH recommended time, and even less as I will often turn it off because of the water build up. The solutions you are providing are all things that have already been done or attempted, yet the issue is still there. This further proves that it is not a homeowner problem, it is a poor landscaping/site overseer problem when the area was developed and homes were built. I will gladly put in a drain pipe to take the water all the way down the street, however I cannot dig through other peoples back yard to burry it and despite being promised by the warranty supervisor that he would attempt to make this work and speak to the neighbors, who are also having yard issues because of this by the way, we simply got a "no can do" answer because it was easier to blow smoke up our as when face to face and not to squat about it after getting back to the office than to actually utilize integrity and do what was said would be done. Truly, that is what makes me the most angry. Do not promise me that you will do everything you can to help then turn out to be a liar.

Thank you for the further proof that this agency cares about nothing more than the almighty dollar and will allow inexperienced home buyers to suffer with something that could never have been foreseen by them but should have been known and prepared for by such a well known company. I didn't realize $225 was the going rate for an Idaho swamp... I will bear that in mind for future reference.Sincerely,[redacted]
