Review: Placed order on Jan *0 on a site called [redacted] and checked bank for charges...acctown charged my bank account. I still have not received product and when I try to check on order it shows 404 website not found.

I have tried 2 times to contact acctown since they were the company that took my money with no response from them. There is no phone number just a contact us on their webpage. The charges were $103.97 and it has been a month with no delivery of product or contact.Desired Settlement: I would like them to refund the money they charged my bank account.

Review: I ordered a charging cable and ear-buds from this company, they're supposed to be [redacted] brand. I paid as much for shipping as I did for the products. They came in an unpadded, plain yellow envelope. The ear-buds don't appear to be [redacted] and the cable is questionable. This is false advertising. I attempted to contact and cancel the order before it shipped, that was ignored. I attempted to e-mail again to get a return slip since the items aren't as described. It's not safe to use products that aren't intended for one's electronic device and can cause damage..Desired Settlement: I'd like a refund of both the shipping and the product cost. I will ship the stuff back to them in a timely manner if such request is fulfilled. I will track the package to ensure it is delivered to the destination so that there is no doubt in it's being received. I'd also like shipping back covered as the shipping they charged me is definitely not the actual cost.

At this time, my bank has resolved the issue. They removed the horrid charges and replaced my debit card as a security measure.

Review: On July **, 2013 I emailed the company (only form of contact available) and asked them how to return the Iphone 4s lifeproof case I purchased from them. With the case on the phone, the phone did not work properly. I received an automatic response message stating "Thank you for contacting AccTown about a return or exchange. We have received your email and will try to respond to your inquiry within 24-48 hours. If you have not already done so, please provide us with your name, address, and order # for the order in question so we can properly handle your request. Thank you." AccTown then replied giving me a return address and an RMA number. I returned the phone case and they received it on July **, 2013. I sent an email on July ** asking when I could see a credit on my credit card. They replied on July [redacted] stating that I may receive any item or items of equal value or store credit but not a refund. On July **I replied to their email asking why I couldn't get a refund on my credit card. They replied on July [redacted]apologizing and included a link for the terms of their returns. Ok, I cannot get a refund. On August [redacted], I asked how to order items and have my credit applied to the order. I only received the automatic response message shown above. I sent another email on August **again asking how to have my credit applied to my order, I included my RMA number and also asked what my credit amount was. Only reply from AccTown was the automatic response message. Sent another email on September **, 2013 again asking how to apply my credit to my order. Again only received the automatic response message. On December **, I completed the contact form on their website and I received a different automatic response message. "We have received your message and will respond to you shortly. Please give us your order number and name and address if you have not done so already, so we can better handle your inquiry. Thank you." The RMA number, my name and address were included in the contact form. Still I have heard nothing about how to apply my credit to an order.Desired Settlement: I would prefer a refund of $35.95 for all of the time I have invested and the aggravation I have endured just trying to get a response from AccTown. Seems like they were willing to talk with me until I was ready to actually use my credit and then no more communication. At the very least, I would like to know how I can place an order and apply my credit of $35.95 to it, but that is the very least. To completely satisfy me I would like a refund so I do not have to continue any future business with the company.

Sincerely,

Review: I Placed the following order from AccTown.com: 1x Premium Quality Screen Protector - SALE - SAMSUNG GALAXY SIII for $1.95 each 1x Flip Cover for Samsung Galaxy S3 - SALE - PEBBLE BLUE - NEW for $14.95 each Subtotal : $16.90 USD Shipping : $10.95 USD Total : $27.85 USD Description of the cover included the following: "Durable textile and hard plastic construction protects your Galaxy S III against bumps and scratches. Soft plastic and felt cover protects screen from smudges, scratches and dirt. . . . Rated one of the top cases for the Samsung Galaxy S3 Phone" The photo looked like the official Samsung case. However, when the items arrived, the case was made out of flimsy plastic that DID NOT FIT my Samsung Galaxy III phone. In addition, the screen protector was partly separated from the backing and was stuck to the back of the cover. Neither was usable. I returned the products according to the companies instructions and asked them, both by e-mail and by letter enclosed, to refund the full price plus their shipping charges, since the items were unusable and the mistake was theirs. I received only an automated response to my e-mails that said they had processed my return. Eventually, I received a check for $14.37 (issued by Blue Professional Corp). The difference between the $27.85 I originally paid apparently was a 15% restocking fee and the $10.95 postage (which is in itself more than twice and probably five times the maximum postage they would have paid on their 3oz First-Class Commercial Base Price Package Rate). I e-mailed AccTown again asking them to waive their refund policy on restocking and shipping fees since they sent me two unusable products and were at fault. I again received only an automated response. When I sent another e-mail saying that I was still waiting for a response, I received the following answer: "I am sorry but this return has been processed and closed according to our terms. We apologize again for any inconvenience. Thank you." AccTown's advertising on their website misrepresented the quality of the product. The products were defective, since the cover didn't fit my phone and the screen protector was damaged by being stuck to the cover. In addition, AccTown's advertising about their business is false. They state on the website: ""Acc Town has a commitment to customer satisfaction and we strive to go the extra mile to ensure each customer is satisfied. We stand behind each sale. We are constantly improving our website and customer relationship management to continually improve the shopping experience on our website. We aim to give a personal touch which is lacking nowadays on the internet." Every sentence in that statement is false, since they provided me with poor-quality merchandise that did not fit my phone, made no effort to see that I was satisfied, did not stand behind their sale, developed no customer relationship, and offered is completely impersonal service--in fact, it is impossible to get in touch with a live human being. In short, AccTown misrepresented their products, provided me with defective products, misrepresented themselves and the service they provided, refused to refund my full expense since the mistake was theirs, not mine, and refused to respond to my complaintspDesired Settlement: I would like a full refund of the rest of my purchase price, including shipping, and a refund of the approximately $5 I paid in return shipping

Business

Response:

The return was processed according to the terms clearly stated on our website. Original shipping fees are not refundable. Further, the customer also returned a used item which was unusable but we still accepted the return. We would have replaced any of the items free of charge with new replacements but any refund or credit has to be less the shipping fees charged and has a restocking fee. We are willing to work with this person but they have not contacted us and instead violated the terms of sale by contacting your organization and we feel this is also unfair to our company. We strive to help everyone and go the extra mile to make sure people are happy. We can send this person another case free of charge right now if that will help resolve this issue. We apologize for this problem and wish the customer would have cooperated with us and let us help them.

Business

Response:

We can send the customer one free accessory or multiple accessories up to $15 in value to compensate for any inconvenience. The return was already processed according to the terms stated on our website. We are willing to send the free package as soon as we have confirmation that this will close this complaint.

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by AccTown regarding complaint ID [redacted]. I am still waiting for them to replace the incorrect cell phone case they sent with the one I requested, per their settlement offer, at which point I will be happy to return the incorrect case.

Sincerely,

Review: I ordered a Lifeproof Case (for an iPhone 4/4s) from Acctown and the case was defective. I sent the case back and the company sent a replacement for it. The second case was defective. I contacted the company and returned the second one asking for a refund. While they gave me an RMA, they did not refund me for the returned case. I have since contacted them 3 times and have yet to receive an email back from the company (other than the automated response email that promises that I will be contacted within 48 hours). Now that I have been in touch with them over a month and a half without a response, I felt compelled to contact the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to refund me for the defective Red/Black Lifeproof Case (for an iPhone 4/4s) that I purchased for 21.95.

Review: Order a phone case it never arrived. Phone was ordered on 8-**. It is now 8-** has not arrived.Desired Settlement: Refund of money paid

Review: I purchased a pink lifeproof case for my iPhone 4 back on August *, 2013. When I received the case on 8/**/13, I realized the front and back were 2 different pinks. Then when I tried to put it on my phone it did not fit properly and the front of the case would bubble up (on the screen). I contacted them about it, they said they didn't do refunds, but would send another product out for me. They received my returned my defective case on 8/**/2013. Well after many attempts to contact them, I still have not received said product replacement, have had no contact back from them other than the generic email that someone will contact me in 24-48 hours (obviously after months of dealing with this I still have not actually heard from them).

At this point I no longer want a different product from them (I've already bought a new case somewhere else) I just want my money back. They are holding $36.94 of my hard earned money. I am very angry with all this. I have now contacted on...

8/**, 8/**, 8/**, 8/**, 8/**, 9/*, 10/**, 10/**, 10/**, 11/*, 11/*, 11/**...this still has not been handled. Please help me get my money back. This company is a bunch of [redacted].Desired Settlement: At this point all I want is my money back and to put this behind me.

Review: I purchased a Clarisonic Mia Face Brush from AccTown Website on August *, 2013 (Order #[redacted]). My credit card was charged right away. On August **, the company sent me a tracking number for the shipment of my order. For the next two weeks, I kept checking USPS website and tracking the order but it kept showing as "label generated / not picked up by USPS". Finally, I contacted AccTown via email about the status of the shipment. On August **, I received the following response from them" It was prepared for shipment but delayed for a backorder". When I asked for Customer Service phone number to discuss the issue with the order, I was told that there is no phone support for my order. Finally the order arrived on September *. To my suprise, the item received is not genuine. It is a replica of an authentic product. I could tell right away by the logos on the product, their quality, placement and accuracy. I called [redacted] (the maker of the Mia face brush) Customer Service line to verify the serial numbers listed on the item that AccTown sent to me. They confirmed that number is invalid; therefore they cannot verify the authenticity of the item.Desired Settlement: I have already contacted my credit card to request a refund. This company sells fake products, has serious customer service and delivery issues and is all over scam. If they want the item back, I will eb happy to ship it to them, after the sent/email me return postage.

Business

Response:

We have tracking proof that delivery was made. The item was on backorder, the customer was notified of this fact and told when it did ship. Tracking is here:

Business

Response:

Person was given return instructions and refused to send anything back. Customer defrauded us and violated all terms and procedures agreed to at the time of sale. We will be pursuing separate remedies to recover damages as needed.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The merchant

refused to pay for return shipping as requested and did not give clear answer

whether a refund will be issued for the item. I contacted the business on

numerous occasions requesting information and answer to my inquiries and

received no answer. This company sells counterfeit products and has un-ethical

business practices.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Review: On August *, 2013 I ordered Three Apple Lightening to USB cables. I was charged $1.95 each for a total of $5.85 plus $16.95 for shipping or a total of $22.80. I received a shipment on August **, 2013 with the incorrect items shipped. I have notified them and I have asked to return these for proper fulfillment. They have refused to repair their error. They want me to pay additional fees for return. Their latest response follows: "Let us be clear, the terms of returns are binding and apply to your order. You received products in error which we apologize for, and which actually were more expensive and we need these returned to us. If you violate the sales contract or make any other dispute we will send your account to collections or initiate our own action for damages accordingly. There is also a forum selection clause for NY and an arbitration clause which is binding and applicable. You do not want to go down this road and threatening us will be counter productive and will not allow you to circumvent the procedure. Since filing fees would also far exceed the very low cost of sending us back the order so we can exchange it, and the forum selection clause and our return policy are both binding, it is a costly and worthless effort just to choose not to cooperate with us. We are trying to help you here and apologize again for any inconvenience but you need to send back the order as instructed and you can just use the cheapest form of mailing to do so. Provide us with proof it is being sent back and we will send the replacement right after. We are trying to resolve this promptly and within the terms so please cooperate. We apologize for any misunderstanding. " I find it ludicrous that they expect me to pay anything additional to correct their mistake. I will not do so.Desired Settlement: I expect a full refund ($22.80). Additionally if they woudl like the items they sent to me returned, they will need to send a prepaid envelope for return with out me incurring any additional expense. [redacted]

Sincerely,

Review: I ordered a [redacted] case from acctown.com. On their website, they claim these are REAL refurbished cases. They tell you on the website not to contact [redacted] and they also claim to remove the serial numbers from the cases since they claim to be refurbished. They do not offer returns and sales cannot be cancelled after the sale is completed online, even if the item has not shipped (I tried this). I received my case in the mail yesterday, and indeed confirmed it is a fake case.Desired Settlement: I will return the case if I can get a full refund, seeing that they falsely advertise this product. I would also like them to stop selling these fake cases or either advertise them as knockoff. I will report them to the Bronx Chamber of Commerce or any other agency I have to in order to stop this company from selling these fake items.

Business

Response:

This person was refunded in full but has not returned anything to us. The customer purchased a case which was described in bold lettering as being refurbished, without retail box and without serial or warranty for manufacturer technical support. Furthermore, we promptly resolved this issue but the customer apparently still chose to contact your non profit organization. We handle any issue promptly and replace any faulty item immediately. The customer did not follow procedures outlined and agreed to at the time of sale. The customer instead threatened us repeatedly and we refunded the customer to expedite a resolution. They still filed this false claim here.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Review: I ordered a Lifeproof case for my 4s, Order #[redacted], and within a couple of weeks it cracked. I do not believe the product shipped was a Lifeproof case, but was in fact a fake. I contacted Acctown and was instructed to send it back for a replacement or refund, to "[redacted] with RMA number [redacted]0". I sent it back 9/**/13 I sent several follow-up emails and they have not responded. There is no phone number to contact them. They have not refunded my money or attempted to contact me regarding my returned item.Desired Settlement: I request a full refund of $25.89 as I do not wish to conduct further business with Acctown.

Sincerely,

Review: On July [redacted], 2013, I ordered from the AccessoryTown website the following; "1x LifeProof Protective Case for iPhone - SALE - Blue - iPhone 4/4s." I was under the impression as implied in their website that the item was an original LifeProof case. It took over two weeks for the item to reach my town in California from New York City on the [redacted] of August. When the item did arrive, it was in a small envelope with NO packing, NO packing slip, and NO paperwork or receipt. On the outside of the envelope it had a return address of; "[redacted]." There was no information about returns, and as mentioned, no paperwork included. Once I did look at the "LifeProof" Protective Case it was evident that it was NOT an original. I compared the case AccTown sent to me to an original "LifeProof" case and it was very clear that the AccTown case was a "knock off", probably a counterfeit. It was not worth the $29.99 plus shipping that I had paid for it. I immediately wanted my money back because this case was NOT waterproof, it was NOT sturdy and if I did use it my iphone would eventually be ruined. Here is a quote from the AccTown website: "Accessory Town has a commitment to customer satisfaction and we strive to go the extra mile to ensure each customer is satisfied. We stand behind each sale. We are constantly improving our website and customer relationship management to continually improve the shopping experience on our website." In my opinion, the previous words are false, a lie. I contacted AccTown via e-mail inquiring about returning my "LifeProof case" and that I'll contact [redacted], the credit card company I used to purchase the case. The following threatening e-mail was sent to me by AccTown: "To be clear, your account will go to collections for the full amount plus $35 in fees if you contacted your card. This cannot be reversed later if you drop the complaint either." Then two minutes later the next e-mail arrived from AccTown: "You may return it according to the terms of returns and exchanges only and will be billed all fees plus the transaction amount if you violated the sales contract or filed a false dispute or any dispute for the transaction. This will happen regardless of whether you return the item or not, it will take place as long as you contacted your card and a dispute is sent to our bank, then your information is sent to multiple collections agencies to recover the full amount plus all related fees, a $35 minimum in excess of the amount." This is a hostile response to a customer only inquiring about a return. It appears that AccTown is geared and spring loaded to refuse all returns and to take action to any customer who contacts their credit card company about the possible counterfeit merchandise that they're selling. It can be assumed that AccTown doesn't want bad press about their company to go public. AccTown wants to charge me the original price of the item regardless if I return the item, they want to charge me $35 for contacting my credit card company, and then they want to charge me $100 for contacting the Revdex.com, also for contacting the original "LifeProof" company to inform them that AccTown is possibly (in my opinion selling "knockoff" items of their products, and also AccTown wants to charge me for informing the public about this unfair and deceptive company and its unfair business practices. [redacted] credited my account the $37.00 that AccTown charged to my card while this case is being investigated. Also, [redacted] permanently BLOCKED AccTown from charging anything to my card. I am concerned for the public and I am very upset with how a company like this conducts itself. AccTown is VERY unfair to the American consumer.Desired Settlement: I wish for the public to be aware of ACCTown and how it conducts business. They are selling a product that is too good to be true. As they say, "If it's too good to be true, it is." Buying an item for a third of the original price and expecting the original product is deceptive. The American consumer should be aware of a how AccTown is possibly selling counterfeit products which probably originated from [redacted]. And, of course, I just want my money back. A refund and the ceasing of threats from AccTown would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help Revdex.com!

Review: Ordered $89.15 worth of makeup products. $ debited from my bank account immediately, no merchandise sent. Website removed, phone number bogus, no email response.Desired Settlement: Would like a complete refund of my debit card in the amount of $89.15. Online merchant barred from business and shut down.

Consumer

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by AccTown regarding complaint ID [redacted]. However, my credit union credited my account with the $ I lost in the website scam. The company that I lodged the complaint against did not contact me, but instead sent me a package containing one cheap, cheesy plastic Iphone battery cover case which I did not order nor do I own an Iphone. I'm assuming this is the "booby prize"!Sincerely,[redacted]

Review: I purchased a clarasonic brush for over 100.00 from this company. It was advertised on their web site and facebook page as 100 authentic. 2.5 months later this brush is no longer working. I called clarasonic to check on the warranty and was told my brush was a fake. There is a serial number on the bottom, this brush does have 1 but it is a fake. After walking me through some steps to check it was verified by the co it was 100%a fraudulent product.Desired Settlement: Refund 100% of the money back to the card I used to make purchase.

I only received 3 of the 4 items I ordered.

"Expedited" shipping paid for but not received. (Ordered Saturday the [redacted], shipping confirmation sent on the [redacted], and their website says expedited shipping is 2-5 business days from date of shipping) I received only part of my shipment on the [redacted], 6 business days excluding Columbus day on the [redacted].Desired Settlement: Refund of purchase price plus shipping charges as well as reimbursement for my time spent attempting to resolve the matter.

Business

Sincerely,

Review: I ordered a new Clarisonic Mia skincare cleaning brush. It was delivered with package completely beaten up. Upon looking further, I realized the package had been open. The inside plastic was covered in dust, had small orange stains on inside of box ( looked like rust stains) and the actual clarisonic had black marks on it. The company is now telling me that they are going to send me to collection agency and charge me a $100 fee if they give me a refund. They will respond to emails, but will not respond to my request for them to call me do we can sort out. Ordered this on July * for my mothers birthday on July **. Did not receive until July ** and now do not have time to return and get new one in time. Very disappointed.Desired Settlement: Full refund plus shipping costs($19) for me to return item that was not in condition ordered.

Business

Response:

This person refused to return merchandise. The customer also demanded a refund of they intended to file a claim with their card issuer. To protect our company from damages, we refunded the transaction. The customer kept the goods and money and we will take appropriate action to recover the transaction amount or the goods as needed.
