Our elderly mother who is a very early riser could not leave to go to the shower, restroom or anything outside until one of us woke up, climbed outside and opened the door for herThis was EVERY DAYSomeone had to crawl through the cab each morning to get out and let everyone else outMicrowave – this worked for about seconds, and then it never worked againThe lights were on, we could turn it on, it made a sound like it was working, but nothing ever truly cooked, there was NO heat at all! This cost us much more money than we had anticipated as we saved leftovers, could not heat them up; we had planned on some easy microwavable meals and snacks, which never came to fruitionMuch disappointment and extra expenses once againToilet troubles – We believe a seal is not sealing anymore to say the least, but if it’s not a seal, there is definitely something wrongWe could not prefill the toilet for our bathroom needs and when we utilized the bathroom, the liquids just went right down, obviously a clue that some seal was not working properlyDue to this, we endured a horrible sewer smell the entire trip! We consulted a few experts on what could be happening or what could we do to assist with the problem and learned that more than likely, the tank was not properly disposed of at some point and there was a ‘build up’ (there is a term in the mechanics world, but I won’t use it here) of previous depositsThat, mixed with the broken seal was causing us much painWe took extra care and much time every day attempting to flush whatever was left behind by previous users and we really didn’t have much luck until the last day of our trip, but it was better for hoursBecause of the issues, we decided not to use the restroom as much, which led to extra rest stops, took extra time and was just not convenient for the amount we invested into this trip for the convenience of a rolling homeWe also purchased an entire package of the pods for the toilet and left them with your RV (not cheap!) Possible propane leak or malfunction – we really never had enough time to get the problem diagnosed or find the right expert to assist us so we are not sure what the actual issue could beWhat we do know is that when we would turn the stove on, the COalarm would blare; When we turned the water heater on to take showers, the COalarm would go offTherefore, we did not cook and could not microwave either, costing us more money and time once again! We took more showers in the shower houses than we cared too and it was much more difficult for Grammy to get out due to the door issueAll in all it was a huge hassle that was again, avoidableIn addition, we were worried and stressed much of the time not knowing when the alarm would go off and if our family was in dangerNot to mention how many campers we disrupted with our blaring alarm at am and midnight! Passenger side mirror – It did not take us long to realize the dangerous situation we had because the side mirror would NOT stay in place while we droveWe tried to adjust it numerous times, only to watch it bounce out of place within seconds so the driver could not see at all! Changing lanes was a nightmare! The passenger had to continually open the window and move, hold or look backwards (or try to) for us to change lanes on the highwayAnd when the window was opened, a sort of vacuum was created, which would pull every nasty smell out of the closed toilet and permeate the entire RV, not pleasant to say the leastThis was a very dangerous situation with the mirror and a very smelly situation with the toilet issueNOT FUN! We did finally find the correct tool on day to fix the mirror ourselvesOne final note that was the straw on the camel’s back was the $plus charge for fuel upon returnWe filled the tank less than mile from your business and did not drive anywhere elseAre you aware that your employee used this vehicle to drive us to the airport because there was some sort of problem with whatever vehicle they were supposed to use (imagine that)? In summary, your complete and total disregard for the major issues we encountered while driving your vehicle are hard to imagineEven when we called and asked for assistance finding a place to replace the tires on our route, no help was givenWe spent a lot of money with your company and expected the highest quality of service as well as some respect in returnOur family took better care of that RV than most because we agreed to take care of it as our own and you agreed to rent a safe and quality vehicleYour company was negligent and did not react the way a business should when a customer is in danger, complaining, asking for help or reaching out in any way.Our preference would be to NOT have to take this to the next level, therefore we respectfully request $20,a full refund So we can recreate this vacation at a different time hoping my elderly mother can still make it, when our German Exchange Student can return and we can take another weeks off work.Thank You, [redacted] ***

I rented a foot RV from Acer in July for my family to travel from Maryland to Connecticut, Niagra Falls, Toronto and Gettsyburg, PA Our trip lasted days and this was our first RV trip Our children are 8, and years old The staff at Ace was helpful in providing an accurate quote for our trip and the RV we rented was about a year old We submitted our deposit and insurance informationThe RV was well equipped, clean and in good working condition Ali was very helpful during the check out process educating me on the features and operation of the RV I made a few "rookie" mistakes during my trip and the staff was readily available via phone or text to answer my questions I returned the RV and my security deposit was returned in full within a few daysMy only issue with my experience was having to deal with Northen Virginia traffic to pick up the RV! Certainly not the fault of Acer though

We checked around and found Ace RV Rental to be fair in their pricingWe rented a Class A with no issuesThe staff were courteous, informative and knowledgeable about the coachWe will defiantly use them in the future and will recommend Ace to anyoneYou get what you pay for in the RV rental business and despite what we read on older reviews Ace treated us fairly and professionally

My son and I have rented from ACE RV the past three yearsEach time in the fall, for one week, to hunt in the Jefferson National ForestWe have rented the older, less expensive units and they have always operated satisfactorily in all systemsWe have always dealt with Mrs Lola Blansett and found her to be friendly, thorough and professional in preparation for the rental and in training us for RV systems operationReturn of security deposit has been accomplished in daysWe are totally satisfied with ACE RV Rentals

We rented an RV from Ace RV Rental in Herndon, and had a wonderful experience We were late making a decision to rent, so when they didn't have my first choice, they did everything they could to accommodate me I ended up with a different RV than I wanted, but it was perfect, especially since this was my inaugural experience The staff (Ali, Lola, and Heather) were so friendly and helpfulThe RV was ready when they said it would Heather went through everything, and was very patient as we asked a lot of questions The RV was clean, fully fueled, and road-readyUnfortunately, we had a minor accident with the RV I immediately called Heather, and she couldn't have been more understanding and helpfulI can't wait for our next trip I would definitely use them again, and would recommend them to anyoneDelete review

We just returned from a week long RV rental from ACE IT WAS AWESOME!
We rented #26-Thor and could not have been more pleased The RV was in great shape and VERY CLEAN As we had never been RVing before, they did a great job walking us through the RV and demonstrating how everything workedI have seen many complaints on the internet about how costly RVing is....and they are correct It is not inexpensive BUT....ACE took the time to completely review all charges with us...down to the smallest of details, so there would be no surprisesAnd guess what? There were no surprises We paid for exactly what we were expecting to pay for The people at ACE were very upfront and transparent about all costsI would use ACE again in the future without hesitation

We rented from ACE and the entire rental process was greatThe people were friendly (Ali and Lola); we looked at multiple RVs (to make sure they were clean and functional) with Ali; closed on a contract at 11pm with Ali (and he was courteous about it too!); the pickup and drop off was easy; and the vehicle itself was in great shapeMy family had a good timeHappy to answer any questions on our rental experience and trip (from DC to GA to TN back to DC) We compared RV rental prices and services, and I felt I got good value from ACE RV

My family rented a RV for a weekend and we had the most amazing time. The first encounter with the company was Lola. She is an amazing wealth of information and always a friendly person to speak with. She walked me through the entire RV and made everything incredibly understandable and easy. The RV was massive in size and amenities. I took 5 kids and never felt cramped. The RV was very clean, and easy to drive and operate. The return couldn't have been easier and the deposit was refunded quickly. Overall, it was a great experience and I look forward to our next trip with ACE.

My recent experience with ACE was extremely positive. MY husband and I had rented an RV from another RV company in Central VA but when we went to pick up our rental (a 2015 26') and he tried to give us a 2004 beat up vehicle we were very disappointed that our vacation was completely ruined. That's when we found ACE. He had a 2015 RV ready for us within hours. Ali spent almost an hour going over all the features. The RV we rented was tperfect for our trip. Our ruined vacation was back on track thanks to ACE. We returned the RV on Saturday morning and had our security deposit refunded the same day. I would highly recommend this company.

description of all the problems we experienced with our rental.  So please attach this letter to the complaint number in the subject line. Thanks,[redacted]August 24, 2015Mr. K** and staff,Let me begin by saying how absolutely astonished I am of your reckless endangerment and negligence with regard to the safety of myself and my entire family which included our young visitor from Germany, who flew here to join us on our vacation of a lifetime. Not only did you endanger all of our lives, you also endangered everyone on the same roads that we traveled or passed along the way. The fact that you allowed us to leave your facility with 6 recalled [redacted] Tires not only put many lives in danger, it completely altered and  our vacation, which had been in the making for the past year.We missed countless sights and points of interest. Our trip into Yellowstone had to be cancelled much to the dismay of us and our German traveling companion who may never get the chance again. We were forced to arrive to the Grand Tetons in the dark which put us in danger once again (many animal crossings!) and we did not have time to see them, which was another missed opportunity for our passenger who traveled so far to see these beautiful places in America. We spent countless hours on our phones and the internet (thus using data) trying to find assistance to change the first tire, calls to your company, [redacted] customer care and numerous places looking for tires to replace the recalled ones. ALL OF THIS AFTER RECEIVING EMAIL CONFIRMATION FROM MR. K[redacted] DATED JULY 3, 2015 THAT ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE WAS INCLUDED!! The stress we went through for two days hoping another tire would not blow, driving slow (thus taking more time) to be safer due to the bad tires and trying to find a place even remotely close to our planned route that had the tires and could actually help us was unimaginable! And we tried to do this all without ruining our entire vacation. Our plans to arrive early each night to campgrounds were ruined for 2 consecutive nights at the least. This, in turn, forced us to call ahead to each place to arrange late arrivals, roll in after dark and quiet time, thus disrupting our schedule, other campers, campground owners and operators. Arriving so late once again put us in danger due to the small roads we were traveling and the many animals that were crossing the roads at the late hours. I won’t even go into too much detail about our 10 year old whose schedule was more than just a little knocked out of whack. Everything had to be done in darkness; we had no time to cook (addressed later as well) and it was just a terrible and avoidable experience due to someone else’s negligence. It could and should have all been avoided.I will also avoid discussing in great detail how I feel about the fact that your staff attempted to make me feel as if the flat was user fault. If I had not paid attention and researched further, we would have blindly continued for 5000-6000 miles more with 6 bad tires and no spare. So many tragedies could have occurred…thankfully for everyone, they did not. That was just the beginning! To add insult to all of those injuries, we experienced many other problems with the RV. Once we went through the tire dilemma with your company and attempting to get the fridge to work, we decided it wasn’t worth our time to continue to call and complain to someone who was not going out of his way to assist. We were on the road anyway, had limited time and we had already missed out on so much of our dream vacation. The list includes, but may not be limited to the following (tire situation included): One blown tire while on the road, leading to 6 tires that had been recalled for quite some time. Upon a discussion with your office, we were told, you ONLY put [redacted] tires on all of your vehicles. The vehicle was rented to us with 6 [redacted] and one Good Year, which I had assumed was replaced by a previous renter who had a similar problem, but thankfully didn’t travel as far as our family, nor did they show as much due diligence in finding the source. We spent $42.40 in cash for the avoidable tire change, not to mention countless hours of our time, energy, lost adventures and memories. Refrigerator – we actually called on this and spoke with your office a few times. When we loaded the fridge as we departed on Friday, it was not until Friday evening when we realized all was warm…and spoiling. We put a few things in the freezer, which was a little cold, threw away the rest. We attempted all suggestions from your office, but nothing worked, so we were forced to buy a cooler at Sam’s to the tune of $90 to fit everything for 5 people. We bought countless bags of ice and made extra stops to keep the maintenance up. We finally self-diagnosed the problem and realized the Auto button was not operating properly and once we figured out how to work around that, not paying attention to the lights and such, we got it running on the 6th day of our journey. For the first 2 days after we got it operating, our food then froze; we adjusted and had a fridge for half our journey. Of course at this point, we had already bought a large cooler which didn’t fit too well in the RV but was needed due to size of family, amount of food and water and travel time and made moving around very difficult the entire time, especially for the near 80 year old passenger who could not climb over it. Main Cabin Door – The only lock that works is the deadbolt and it can only be locked securely from the outside, not from the inside. It also required 2 people to lock it because it’s ‘out of whack’. Therefore, every night, 2 people had to go outside, lock the door, then crawl back through the cab to get inside, which happened to be through Grammy’s bedroom. Since we had to unlock from the outside as well, we had many other issues: This was extremely unsafe every night in the event of an emergency! Thank goodness, there were none! Our elderly mother who is a very early riser could not leave to go to the shower, restroom or anything outside until one of us woke up, climbed outside and opened the door for her. This was EVERY DAY. Someone had to crawl through the cab each morning to get out and let everyone else out. Microwave – this worked for about 20 seconds, and then it never worked again. The lights were on, we could turn it on, it made a sound like it was working, but nothing ever truly cooked, there was NO heat at all! This cost us much more money than we had anticipated as we saved leftovers, could not heat them up; we had planned on some easy microwavable meals and snacks, which never came to fruition. Much disappointment and extra expenses once again. Toilet troubles – We believe a seal is not sealing anymore to say the least, but if it’s not a seal, there is definitely something wrong. We could not prefill the toilet for our bathroom needs and when we utilized the bathroom, the liquids just went right down, obviously a clue that some seal was not working properly. Due to this, we endured a horrible sewer smell the entire trip! We consulted a few experts on what could be happening or what could we do to assist with the problem and learned that more than likely, the tank was not properly disposed of at some point and there was a ‘build up’ (there is a term in the mechanics world, but I won’t use it here) of previous deposits. That, mixed with the broken seal was causing us much pain. We took extra care and much time every day attempting to flush whatever was left behind by previous users and we really didn’t have much luck until the last day of our trip, but it was better for 24 hours. Because of the issues, we decided not to use the restroom as much, which led to extra rest stops, took extra time and was just not convenient for the amount we invested into this trip for the convenience of a rolling home. We also purchased an entire package of the pods for the toilet and left them with your RV (not cheap!). Possible propane leak or malfunction – we really never had enough time to get the problem diagnosed or find the right expert to assist us so we are not sure what the actual issue could be. What we do know is that when we would turn the stove on, the CO2 alarm would blare; When we turned the water heater on to take showers, the CO2 alarm would go off. Therefore, we did not cook and could not microwave either, costing us more money and time once again! We took more showers in the shower houses than we cared too and it was much more difficult for Grammy to get out due to the door issue. All in all it was a huge hassle that was again, avoidable. In addition, we were worried and stressed much of the time not knowing when the alarm would go off and if our family was in danger. Not to mention how many campers we disrupted with our blaring alarm at 5 am and midnight! Passenger side mirror – It did not take us long to realize the dangerous situation we had because the side mirror would NOT stay in place while we drove. We tried to adjust it numerous times, only to watch it bounce out of place within 30 seconds so the driver could not see at all! Changing lanes was a nightmare! The passenger had to continually open the window and move, hold or look backwards (or try to) for us to change lanes on the highway. And when the window was opened, a sort of vacuum was created, which would pull every nasty smell out of the closed toilet and permeate the entire RV, not pleasant to say the least. This was a very dangerous situation with the mirror and a very smelly situation with the toilet issue. NOT FUN! We did finally find the correct tool on day 4 to fix the mirror ourselves. One final note that was the straw on the camel’s back was the $50 plus charge for fuel upon return. We filled the tank less than 1 mile from your business and did not drive anywhere else. Are you aware that your employee used this vehicle to drive us to the airport because there was some sort of problem with whatever vehicle they were supposed to use (imagine that)? In summary, your complete and total disregard for the major issues we encountered while driving your vehicle are hard to imagine. Even when we called and asked for assistance finding a place to replace the tires on our route, no help was given. We spent a lot of money with your company and expected the highest quality of service as well as some respect in return. Our family took better care of that RV than most because we agreed to take care of it as our own and you agreed to rent a safe and quality vehicle. Your company was negligent and did not react the way a business should when a customer is in danger, complaining, asking for help or reaching out in any way.Our preference would be to NOT have to take this to the next level, therefore we respectfully request $20,000.00 a full refund.  So we can recreate this vacation at a different time hoping my elderly mother can still make it, when our German Exchange Student can return and we can take another 2 weeks off work.Thank You,[redacted]

I rented an RV for my son's bachelor party in April. Our experience with ACE RV was 5 star from beginning to end.
I initially read several negative reviews on-line and was extremely hesitant to rent sight-unseen on the internet and grilled Ali with numerous questions. Ali proved informative, patient, and professional throughout.
More important, the RV was new and clean (2015 big, spacious and spotless), Ali provided clear instructions, and when we returned the vehicle, he made the process easy and refunded our deposit within 24 hours. No hidden fees or hassles...I recommend Ace Rental and would be happy to provide a reference to anyone who seeks one.

of our original description of all the problems we experienced with our rental.
I have now rented an RV from Ace Rental two years in a row and both times have been a great. Has the RV been 100% perfect? Not at all and there were a few small issues with the RVs. However, Ace has always taken care of them and over the 10 years of renting RVs I have learned that stuff happens!!! I will say that their RVs and service to 1000% better than other National Companies (like Cruise America). I WILL be renting another RV from Ace next year without thinking twice!!!

I rented a 30 foot RV from Acer in July 2015 for my family to travel from Maryland to Connecticut, Niagra Falls, Toronto and Gettsyburg, PA. Our trip lasted 8 days and this was our first RV trip. Our children are 8, 9 and 11 years old. The staff at Ace was helpful in providing an accurate quote for our trip and the RV we rented was about a year old. We submitted our deposit and insurance information.
The RV was well equipped, clean and in good working condition. Ali was very helpful during the check out process educating me on the features and operation of the RV. I made a few "rookie" mistakes during my trip and the staff was readily available via phone or text to answer my questions. I returned the RV and my security deposit was returned in full within a few days.
My only issue with my experience was having to deal with Northen Virginia traffic to pick up the RV! Certainly not the fault of Acer though.

Pleasant surprise although I did went online to check the reviews and was really very skeptical but to my surprise not only they were helpful but actually recommended the RV which was less expensive. What we thought we want was way too big for our family of four. Mr. A[redacted] and L[redacted] did a great job explaining everything. I did experience some problem with the outside awning I called ACE Help line, A[redacted] the lead mechanic whom I called walked me through and explained what I was doing wrong. Nice, clean linens and kitchens are fully equipped. I thoroughly enjoyed my RV.
Keep it up ACE RV.

We rented an RV from Ace RV Rental in Herndon, and had a wonderful experience. We were late making a decision to rent, so when they didn't have my first choice, they did everything they could to accommodate me. I ended up with a different RV than I wanted, but it was perfect, especially since this was my inaugural experience. The staff (Ali, Lola, and Heather) were so friendly and helpful.
The RV was ready when they said it would. Heather went through everything, and was very patient as we asked a lot of questions. The RV was clean, fully fueled, and road-ready.
Unfortunately, we had a minor accident with the RV. I immediately called Heather, and she couldn't have been more understanding and helpful.
I can't wait for our next trip. I would definitely use them again, and would recommend them to anyone.
