Achieve is a terrible program
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (1 out of 5 stars)

I must say, my experience with Achieve Test Prep has been nothing short of disappointing and disheartening. The program's lackluster performance and questionable practices have left me feeling frustrated and deceived.

My interactions with Nick, the MA retention specialist, were beyond appalling. Instead of providing assistance and support, he treated me with disrespect and condescension, making me feel as though my concerns were invalid. He even resorted to verbally abusing me during our phone conversation, which is entirely unacceptable.

Furthermore, when I requested 1:1 help to improve my understanding of the course material, I was met with the excuse that all the slots were booked. This left me feeling abandoned and isolated in my academic struggles.

The courses offered by Achieve Test Prep proved to be highly ineffective in preparing me for my exams. The explanations provided were inadequate, leaving me ill-equipped to perform well in my classes and ultimately leading to my failure.

To make matters worse, the company is now attempting to charge me for services dating back to 2020 and 2023, along with a hefty 20% fee, even for classes I didn't take to cancel my enrollment. This additional financial burden seems unjust and unjustifiable, adding insult to injury.

When I asked for an appeal regarding these charges, the request seemingly disappeared into thin air, and I never received any follow-up or resolution.

In summary, Achieve Test Prep has proven itself to be one of the worst programs out there, lacking in integrity, empathy, and effective educational services. I strongly caution anyone considering enrolling with them to think twice and explore other options that prioritize their customers' well-being and academic success.

I sincerely hope that my review will be taken seriously and that necessary improvements will be made to prevent others from enduring similar negative experiences.

LPN Bridging to RN - Read before you sign up!
I am an LPN who wanted to bridge to an RN. I wish I had never heard of Achieve and bought into their sales pitch indicating that they cared about my aspirations. I find myself in a situation where due to my husband's health issues I have not been able to continue. I have not even been able to finish my first class or take the test. I have taken on all the family burden, financial and otherwise. I cannot handle anything else right now, my time and our finances are at their limit due to something so unforeseen from when I first reached out to Achieve. When Achieve could not withdraw payment due to the credit card they access being maxed out they called me. I explained the situation. Their rep stated he understood, ad nauseam, but kept pushing for payment. He stated if I didn't pay they "would have" to report me to a collections agency, and I didn't want that now did I?
The phone call became harassing, multiple calls every day, texts, emails. I responded to one of the texts as well as the email but they have not responded back. I have to guess that maybe they do they not want a "paper trail" of our conversations.
Finally I have filed a complaint with the BBB, it's in process.
My advice to you, consider why their ratings are low - subpar pretty much where ever you look. They are a business, I respect that but be aware that this is not a warm and friendly group of individuals that cares about who you are or what your aspirations are.
I wish I had never heard of Achieve and taken that step with them, I have learned my lesson and will tell anyone who asks about my experience and let them make their own decisions. But if I don't put this out there, then I am going against my nursing grain of caring about others and their outcomes.

Can they be sued

Scams!!!
I applied for this program 2019 October, after the pandemic I lost employment along with forced to move with family, I reached out to the recruiters which assisted me with a withdrawal agreement for $376, after paying the payments with a balance of $100 I called to pay the balance and was denied because apparently if the contract was not complete it would be voided out and you would then pay $2,076 the Director asked for the $376 again or be forced to have a collection. This program is overrated, extremely pushy, and extremely inconsiderate of a person’s situation. Beware look at all of these complaints from people who are interested in furthering their careers and education. You’re better off enrolling in a community college.

Shady scam company.
Avoid at all cost. Shady. Rush through contract, don’t highlight the super important things. Not cheaper than other schools, more expensive. You pay them for the ability to test out of classes but you also have to pay the college. Price is equivalent to a university when all cost are added. If you try to withdraw they charge you per class taken (logging into student portal counts as a class, retaking a course is counted even though it’s free) and you pay a huge % based on that. They give you an extremely high interest rate which they don’t emphasize when signing contract, so say you withdraw after a year and a half of being enrolled but only took one class and then did a free refresher class. You are counted as taking 3 classes out of X amount you signed up for. So far you have paid around 4-5 thousand dollars. Due to high interest rate and how they count courses, you will still owe them thousands of dollars. They won’t negotiate, let you decide on how little of payments you can afford. They give you the set amount owed, and give you 2-3 payment options (how long you wanna pay). Also not disclosed is the initial cost they quote you is just for the ability to test out of classes and use their portal for studying. You will also have to pay a university for the nursing classes you take plus pay for the nursing books. Horrible company and they do not care about you or your circumstances. They will get their money.

Achieve Test Prep
Run! And never look back... this place is full of lies they will tell you to come and do classes and they will tell you at the end of those classes you will have your degree that is a complete lie you will have to take classes with them then you will have to enroll with an actual school pay all new fees with a school and take classes with that school... instead you should just research actual schools...achieve is not an actual school every school that I spoke with told me that they do not affiliate themselves with achieve they do not recommend achieve they recommend that you come directly to the school because the schools offer all the classes you need and they have real financial aid... achieve claims to have financial aid but once you actually enroll there are no financial aid options the only option they give you is to pay $600 or $1000 they will match it but that is it... Every single person I have spoke with at achieve has told me a different story anytime I ask a question I get a different reply they lie about how much classes cost...they lie about course work that you need they also lie about schools that you can attend... when I actually called different school each school told me achieve does not have a clue on how their schools work... that's why they do not recommend achieve I spoke with several schools in the state of Florida and New York and they all do not recommend achieve... achieve will steal your money... save your money and go directly to a school I would recommend googling different schools and actually enrolling with an actual school and check their reviews but achieve test prep is full of liars!

Requesting LOA
Is there anybody who had the hard time to withdraw the courses ? The rep who I talked to seemed to be forcing me paying the remaining balances of the tuition, and said that it is impossible not to pay the balances even I stop taking the courses. Very bad connections. Sounded like a call from overseas.

Fraud, program no longer eligible
The college that they geared me towards NO LONGER ACCEPTS CREDIT BY EXAM...I have spoken to at least 5 "reps" and no resolve. They actually tried to get me to change my degree program, NO THANK YOU. Still no results, no resolution. As they continue to charge me excessive amounts monthly for a program that is no longer accepted by the college of nursing that they stated upon signing the contract is where I need to go...My last "class" through them only had 1 student in the class, ME! Everyone else in the same program I was in no longer can use them either...PLEASE CANCEL MY CONTRACT...for the 6th time I am asking this!

Please, read my postings . I'd like to hear from you.-Sung Kim

STAY AWAY!
I contacted Achieve to see if my International College Credits and my status as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician would qualify me for their Medical Assistant to LPN program. They told me "of course" I paid a down payment and proceeded with financing with them (I wasn't told that it was an outside finance company). 2 weeks after I started taking the first of 6 classes to complete the program, I received a phone call to say that my existing college credits and COT status would not qualify me for the LPN program and advised me to continue the courses anyway - ? Well. I immediately told them that I was not going to continue and that I wanted my deposit back! It was creepy! - they continued to send me emails as if I was still a student. I phoned several times and finally got someone in accounting. She told me that I would only be liable for the class that I had already started ($780). A week later I received an Account Statement from PARAMOUNT Capital GROUP and they continue to send me statements. ACHIEVE has taken their money and are allowing them to hold me accountable although I clearly left the program after being falsely enrolled. I have not contacted PARAMOUNT- I continue to ignore the Statements that they send me. I have phoned Achieve several times to follow-up but I only get as far as Student Services who can not assist with Financial issues. Bridget Robinson

They are not to be trusted! SCAMMERS!

Good luck! I've been triying to get my 5,000.00 since 2017.

Achieve! Recruited me for their LPN to RN and collected the $521.00 deposit and had me sign a contract knowing full well - a month in advance, that the State of Arizona BON no longer accepted their program. 49 days later, I am still fighting to get my initial deposit back - minus the $69.00 fee. Achieve was informed within 24 hours of the Orientation that the Arizona BON no longer accepted their program. Christian admitted it - an Achieve Rep. I ended up down a rabbit hole of continuous call centers in Achieve to push me way out from the 72 hr time frame to cancel my contract. Scammers! To this date, no resolution and this has been going on for over 3 months!

As was discussed with this student, the signed contract includes a clear withdrawal/refund policy that dictates that the student is legally obligated to pay Achieve Test Prep 36% of his total program costThis percentage amount is significantly more than the $early termination settlement amount that was mutually agreed uponDespite this settlement agreement; however, we will release this student from his $obligation and void his contract

We understand it’s the opinion of this student that our test prep material is not adequate to pass the [redacted] exams; however, we have hundreds of people that pass those exams based on our material ever year. In fact, our records indicate that this student passed five of the seven exams taken. ...

In addition, our records show that we reached out to this student to schedule some additional support on eight different occasions in August 2013, yet we have no record of a call back from the student.
But it’s certainly not too late. We offer extra support services at no extra charge for any student that fails an exam. Someone from our Academic Affairs Department would be happy to meet with the student and try to uncover why she failed and arrange for a plan of extra services in order to try to enable her to pass on the next try. These services could include a refresher course, a course re-take, or one-on-one tutoring ---- whatever it takes. And again, all of this extra support is at no extra charge.
Should the student wish to abandon her goal of becoming an RN, she can withdraw from our program under the terms of our withdrawal policy. The student should call our Academic Affairs Department at [redacted] as soon as possible to determine next steps.

This student purchased a 13 class package from Achieve Test Prep. She took 6 classes with us and passed all 6 exams on the first try. When the student moved from NJ to **4 she stopped attending classes; however, we do have virtual classes taught by live instructors available. Classes meet once a...

week for 3 hours.  As recently as May 2016, the student did call and request to be registered for a nursing class but changed her mind and unregistered a few weeks later. All of our enrollment agreements have a term length, which is customary for contracts. This student's contract reached full term in October 2015, which meant as of that point she was no longer eligible to invoke the withdrawal policy or drop courses. The student reached out to us in August 2016 and requested to drop classes from her enrollment agreement. We admit that a customer service representative made an error and told the student that she can pay a $250 modification fee to drop up to 4 classes. However, the student was ineligible due to her contract expiration. We have since offered to refund the $250 modification fee due to this error, which we regret. Despite the student's contract expiration, we have offered for her to still take her CPNE and NCLEX prep classes with us, since these are still outstanding. We offered to swap any classes she has not taken for classess towards an RN-BSN program in the future. We have also made an offer to this student to address her refund request, and we hope that she finds these offers to be a fair resolution to her complaint.
