Windows were installed very poorly and the product is no good. They have been back 10+ times and are unable to resolve the issues. I don't want them back at my house, as they clearly don't know how to service their own product.
I've had other window companies come in as well as discussion with my lawyer on how to move forward. Window frames are FULL of holes, windows don't open or shut, we took some moulding off, and many were not properly foamed. Many Windows still have drafts, and we've needed to supplement one bedroom with a heater since the Window simply won't shut properly - all of which they have NOT been able to resolve. The list is LONG and other companies have said that they simply can't service this *** and recommend replacing our brand new windows.
We've tried having them resolve these issues, and even the owner was speechless when we insisted he come down and inspect the job. The windows are warped, and have been destroyed with multiple screw holes and attempts to fix. We've been advised to replace most of the windows by multiple experts. As such, we are getting ready for legal action if we cannot settle this immediately. The doors they installed also have similar issues.

Refund They don't open and close, and operate horribly. We were also advised that the locking mechanism for the size of these windows are not sufficient, hence why we are experiencing some of these issues. The recommendation has been to replace the windows. They've been out a dozen times, and have resolved nothing. We are looking for a full refund of the windows & installation. Not the doors. We are more than happy to return the windows once we have them replaced.
With the house being so old, the foundation movement is creating issues with windows & doors in regards to opening, closing & bowing.
The home's foundation is continually moving in different direction creating windows not being level or not being plum. An example of movement was brought up to Darcy from Andrew being one of the installers , he mentioned that the new painting had been done to the main floor hallway which included above the new front door, when he went back again a service call to look at window issue Matt called on which was roughly two months later, he remembers seeing a fresh crack reaching past the newly installed casing of the door which was not there when we installed the new door system because it was painted after the door and casing had been originally installed.
Achievers have been to Mathieu's home after the initial installation a handful of times with no added expense passed on to the consumer because of the foundation issue. On these service calls, approximately 5 of the window casings had to be removed, the foam insulation was cut back & removed, the calking was cut as well as the windows had to be re-shimmed properly, and then reinstalled, reinstall casing and re-caulk outside which was all done to address the out of plumb issue caused by the foundation movement. This was also done to the main floor front and 2nd floor front door.
Achievers had to drill through some of the window frames to anchor windows plumb & level a number of times, the installers forgot to fill some of these holes with PVC 3/8" screw plug covers which is what's used as standard in the industry.
A couple calls we went back on included adjusting the multipoint metal keepers which when the window becomes out of plumb or out of level, the keepers are not able to be caught correctly with the tie bar which is connected to the locking handle when then is very hard to lock as Mathieu mentioned. We would also like from Mathieu, the company names and contact info on who is specifically telling him the locking mechanism of Achievers Windows as being "non-sufficient" and are not serviceable for the weight load of the new windows as we beg to differ based on the company using *** which is manufactured in the USA and Mexico. We could give contact information of the Research & Development team at *** who has spent millions in R & D including their own engineers on staff, but feel free to look them up at *** or let us know if you want specific contact info.

The response is nothing short of a massive series of ***. It's disappointing really, because a service business is built on trust, and we really trusted Leonard to do a good job. *** the horrible workmanship received is beyond words.
The house has zero foundation issues and has not shifted in well over 100 years. We watched the guys attempt to "fix" the issues, and everything in the response from Leonard was ***. His "repair" folks indicated that the reason our windows were so drafty was that they could not reach the foam behind the radiators because they did not have the proper tools to do so. The hole that leaked goop after he left was an attempt to resolve a massive draft coming in behind the molding since they hadn't foamed it properly, and was just another of a list of damage that Achievers did to our home.
To be honest, it's hard to justify a response to this. I am more than happy to, and have already started the process of having multiple experts in the field come to my house, inspect their workmanship and product, and disprove all of his *** claims.
I have a list of emails, text messages, and a note from Leonard after DAY 1 in regards to the windows not opening or closing properly, of water coming in via our new doors and windows after the first rain fall, of installs being done horribly, and a long list of other issues. If he wants to argue that my house shifted, cracked, and my foundation sunk within 24 hours of our install, then it will reinforce my belief that he knows *** little about foundations ***

At this point, he should have removed all windows and restarted the process. Replace the damaged windows with new ones and got them installed properly. Instead, he tried to cut corners, damage the windows more with multiple holes, attempt to patch up badly installed windows, and pretend that everything was OK.
We have lost all trust and faith in Leonard and his team, and expert advise at this point has been that they are simply not fixable if we expect these to work properly for the 20+ years that we were promised.
We are very pleased with our garden door that Achievers installed. When the louvers in the door broke Achievers promptly fixed the problem to our satisfaction.

Excellent customer service and workmanship! I highly recommend this business, all the staff were a real pleasure to deal with. If I need more windows in the future, I would definitely use this business again.
When I called to get a quote from Achievers to replace 7 basement windows, I was surprised that the owner, Leonard came to my home to give me a quote. Leonard was very knowledgeable in what I required and answered all of my concerns. I was very impressed that he recommended not only replacing the old 75 year old windows, but also the old wooden frames (which were in not good shape). Another window company only recommended replacing the windows and leaving the old frames. I had quotes from 3 companies and Achievers was the lowest price. Leonard invited me to tour his company on MGee Street. The windows are made in his factory by his employees (I'm sure that keeps down the cost.) I was impressed by his factory, his employees on the floor and his administrative staff - very friendly. I wanted a green perimeter on my window frames to match the color of my other windows. Leonard asked me to bring in some of the green paint from the other windows and he would match it up. I signed the contract on May 25 and asked when they'd be ready to install thinking July or August. Leonard advised they'd be ready by the end of June - they were installed in my home June 18 & 19 - way sooner than I expected. The two gentlemen installers were professional, informative and answered all of my questions. They cleaned up at the end of each day.
I would highly recommend Achievers based on my total experience and would rate them 10 out of 10.
