Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved becauseTrivago cannot back out of this saying they do not handle transactions If someone books a room on their site, they are part of the process They are an extension of those they choose to do business with In this case, they are the front for the business transaction I am not satisfied and have been through hours of frustration dealing with this These booking sites and hotels SHOULD NOT be allowed to conduct business in this manner How many consumers just allow this to happen because they do not want to go through the hours of frustration like I did They try to confuse the consumer with all the charges and parties involved and do not take responsibility Everyone just points the finger elsewhere and the consumer is left pulling their hair out I imagine this double-charging of resort fees is HUGE business for them and it should be stopped No I am not satisfied and no I have not been properly compensated for the time and frustration In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

It looks as though [redacted] has not contacted us directly to date so that we could assist her with her very serious complaint.First of all, I would like to express our sincerest apologies that she had such a terrible... experience with her CancelOn booking. I have contacted CancelOn's management directly toinform them of the complaint and express my concerns regarding the booking issue and the lack of compassionate customer service she experienced in the aftermath. From our perspective it is simple not good enough and we will make sure that [redacted] is refunded in full at the very least.I would just like to clarify things from our side if I may. [redacted] made her booking with CancelOn via trivago Express Booking, where we act as the facilitator in the booking process. However, as a hotel search and price comparison site, trivago does have access to the Express Booking info, but is not responsible for the communication between the booking site and the hotel. We cannot alter a booking in anyway. The fact that the booking was not in the system of the hotel would be the fault of communication between CancelOn and the hotel, we have no control over this.As I write this, I have received an immediate response from CancelOn informing me that they will contact [redacted] immediately to assist her. Yes, that is correct, *** is one of the 300+ booking sites that we compare deals fromBut no, that is totally incorrect, our major function is not to 'steer people to ***'No one booking site receives favoritism, they are all on a level playing fieldIf *** deals
are more prominent for certain hotels then that is simply down to them having the better deal available at that certain timeNo where on the trivago website does is state that we only have USA affiliatestrivago itself is a German company and the majority of the booking sites available on *** are not from or based in the USA.
