I purchased a Panasonic DMR-E75VS Progressive Scan DVD Recorder/VCR Combo, (Sears Order #867425889) on March 1, 2018 for my husband's birthday May 4, 2018. The package was opened on his birthday. It was defective from out-of-the-box, the remote controller that came with the device did not work (there is still a VHS tape in the machine as it cannot be opened). I contacted Action Packaged, Inc as soon as we recognized this was a defective item. I have received no response from them despite repeated emails and telephone calls. I contacted Sears for assistance 3 times, they keep referring me back to Action Packaged, Inc. I realize this request goes beyond their 30 day return policy, but I do not believe that there are not other customers who have purchased items from this company for birthday and holiday gifts that go outside of the 30 day window. I do not understand how a company can sell defective merchandise and then not provide some response to customers concerns and complaints. Thank you for your assistance.

[I feel this is not a fully acceptable answer considering how long it took to issue a refund, even though the issue has finally been resolved.  I understand that [redacted] is responsible for handling the refund/return process, but I don't know why (After I shipped the defective item over a MONTH ago) Action Packaged Inc. never informed [redacted] of the return so that they would be able to move forward with issuing my refund.  I don't feel that [redacted] should be asking me as the consumer to provide them with the return tracking number for the returned item instead of Action Packaged Inc., unless the return was never received.  It's that which makes it very odd when Action Packaged Inc. claimed to have issued my refund, why then did [redacted] ask me for return tracking information and not from Action Packaged Inc. when they acknowledged my return?  One expects that this would all be handled in a timely professional manner, not stretched out over an almost two month period.  I am attaching a file showing the refund was finally processed.]
