Adam's Hardwood Flooring Reviews (23)

Wonderful experience and end result with our new hardwood floors. Their advice was spot-on. Adam's installed new floors that matched existing and sanded and finished our existing floor downstairs. Would highly recommend.

Cameron from Adam's Hardwood Flooring did a wonderful job for us. Very professional and went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased with our new hardwood floors. We installed approximately 2,000 square feet of 3/4 inch hardwood floors and 12 flights of stairs and are thrilled on how great a job Cameron did. I would highly recommend Cameron and Adams Hardwood Flooring.

We received excellent service from the first sales call until the completion of the project. Our floors are beautiful. We are so happy that we chose Adam's Hardwood Flooring for our installation!

We just had flooring all over a home we just bought torn up by this company and hardwood floors put in. They did a meticulous job of both. They estimated the time it would take perfectly and had the job done when they said they would.
Cleaned up and left us with perfect wood floors. The men that worked at our
Home were real professionals that were masters of their crafts! We are so great full.

My wife and I had Adam's Hardwood refinish our floors and install a new railing. During the bidding of the job, we worked closely with Cameron. He was by far the most knowledgable person we interviewed. Compared to the other companies that did carpeting and flooring, it's apparent the superior level Adam's Hardwood is on. They are the specialists bar none. They are great about discussing all the options, the pros-cons, etc. I should note that they were very good at cleaning up and respecting our house. We had no problem leaving them alone to work for the week. All of the guys on the crew were courteous, respectful, and professional. I will definitely be recommending them to my friends and family.

I had my floors refinished with stain color change , and also they feathered my old flooring into new flooring because I wanted to add a new floor section where carpet previously existed. There were also holes to patch due to the fact I took out a wall. It is hard to believe, but you really cannot tell at all where the patching/extension occurred. Steve has an eye for detail and does the job of a perfectionist. I had one small issue, which they made an effort to resolve immediately. I am not going to lie--it is an inconvenience having this kind of work done while living in the home, but the workers tried to make it as convenient as possible. Their dealings were businesslike and professional from start to finish.

Cameron from Adam's Hardwood Flooring did a wonderful job installing our floors. He took his time to ensure it was done right, but still finished in just over a day. He was great with my kid's inquiring young minds. We will be reaching back out when we are ready to do the other rooms in the house for sure.

Adam's Hardwood Flooring just completed a job at our house and we couldn't be more pleased. Their initial quote was very detailed, which gave us a good idea as to what to expect. The work was actually finished a day ahead of schedule. We had some existing oak floors refinished and added wood to two additional rooms. The finished product is beautiful and you can't tell where the old floor ends and the new flooring begins. The workers were courteous and the work space was cleaned up after each day. We would definitely use Adam's again for future work and would highly recommend them to others.

Adam's Hardwood Flooring did a great job adding a new wood floor to an adjacent older wood floor and then refinishing it all to create a seamless match.
They exceeded our expectations and were great to work with!

I have been very pleased with Adam's Hardwood Flooring. They installed a prefinished hardwood floor for us. They were professional and communicated very well throughout the process. I would highly recommend them.

Excellent work. Highly recommended. Floors look amazing!

My wife and I used Adam's Hardwood to install approximately 1200 sq ft of new hardwood and refinish /match approximately 1100 sq ft.
The team at Adam's was prompt and courtesy starting with the estimate and continuing through the project. They were upfront and honest through out the project regarding cost and timeline and the communication was excellent.
The quality of there work is excellent. We ended up making some changes along the way ( stain color) which they went out of their way to accommodate and make sure we were happy with our changes.
We are very happy with the job from Adam's and would highly recommend them to anyone installing new hardwood or refinishing existing floors.

Adam's Hardwood flooring was professional and easy to deal with from quote to finish. They were knowledgable about different products and services and explained the benefits and costs of each. The floors look great and I would recommend them.

We had a great experience with Adam, Cameron and Josh. All were professional, courteous and diligent. We had carpet and ceramic tile replaced with hardwood flooring throughout the majority of our house. Project was completed in the estimated time frame of 3 business weeks. Very pleased and would recommend.

We are very satisfied with the work Adam's Hardwood Flooring did for us. From the very start, their information relating to the process, options, and expectations was communicated in a very clear concise, and professional manner.
Adam's re-finished out kitchen floor and hallway, and installed new treads and risers for our main staircase. The level of craftsmanship is top notch. The personnel are professional and courteous. The work was completed in a timely manner within the quoted price. We have recommended Adam's to some friends considering similar work.

my husband and I recently moved into a 150 year old home. we are expecting our first child in march, and were very anxious to get the baby's room ready. most of our home is hardwood already, but the intended baby's room had an awful carpet overtop linoleum, overtop an original subfloor. there was also an area in the hallway that just had a base of plywood over concrete. originally we contacted adam's hardwood to see if we could refinish the floor. however, due to the age of the house, we could have been dealing with lead paint, obviously not great for any room much less a newborn's. we decided to go with a new floor, with a water-based seal, due to the great recommendation of [redacted] he was extremely friendly and well-informed, and provided us with a competive quote as well as quick install timeframe. the install was scheduled and completely quickly, and we are very happy with the results. they managed to get us in before the holidays (on very short notice), which made everything much less stressful. overall, we are very pleased with our experience!

We had carpet removed in two rooms with 3/4 hardwood installed. The hardwood on the rest of the first floor was refinished and all stained to match. We had to vacate the home because of the location of the floor (entry, kitchen, in front of stairs, etc.). The process took two weeks. Our salesman was great and his service wonderful. The floor matches and the color we chose looks great, but that is where the positive stops. We returned home to a sloppy mess. Stain was on the baseboards, and walls. The garage had a pile of sawdust from the sanding machine and the doors had stain handprints. Our carpet had finish on it, our bathroom floor was damaged. There are chatter marks all over the floor. I do most of our home renovation but knew how unforgiving sanding and staining can be so we opted to have a professional do it. This was not the right professional to choose. There was a spot that didn't get poly put on it. The trim they installed doesn't match the floor color. There is a footprint and two drip spots and some of the stain created a line along the walls. We contacted our sales person immediately after we returned and he came out promptly. He apologized and cleaned up a lot of the easy problems but brought the owner out the next day. The owner didn't seem to care much and explained that the chatter marks weren't that bad. You can see them all over! They fixed a couple of the other problems and left. We still have floor that looks like it was sanded by someone who was brand new, trim that doesn't match, chatter marks everywhere and footprint and drip spots. The only way to fix the problems is to take everything back to bare wood and start over. I can't afford to do that again, nor take my family out of the house for that long. We consider this almost $5000 wasted and would strongly encourage you to find another company.

Very professional manners & attitude about the installation. Workmanship was accurate & quick without being hurried. The project was completed as stated in the quote.
Initial sales call was informative, suggestions given & discussed. Square foot calculation of the room was spot-on. Note: other companies over calculated by 15 to 20% & then wanted to add another 10% for waste. Additional questions answered timely by e-mail or phone.
Great job & good people.

I could not be more happy with my floors and the service I received. They took great pride in their work and made sure we were completely satisfied. Overall a great company and great people!!

Please reference the enclosed contract along with supporting documentation...

in regards to this complaint from work completed 10/18/2011. Customer had existing prefinished hardwood flooring with deep bevels and existing gapping between boards. The existing flooring was original to the house, covered the kitchen area and was installed underneath all the kitchen cabinets. We did not install this flooring nor did the customer ever agree to have it replaced as stated in the work contract. The existing flooring was in poor condition with the finish heavily worn and faded. We refinished the flooring which included sanding the floor to bare wood, staining and applying new polyurethane finish. The customer requested to have new hardwood flooring installed in the adjacent living room where there was existing carpet. New hardwood flooring was installed, sanded, stained and finished. The new hardwood was delivered to the house prior to installation so it could acclimate to the environment inside the house. All work was signed off on and payments were made in full. The finish had a 1 year warranty not to peel or bubble. Gaps in wood occurs from the relative humidity in the home decreasing to a point where the wood goes below its equilibrium. The purpose of delivering the wood prior to installation is so that the wood can acclimate itself to the normal environment inside the home prior to it being installed. After that point it is the customers responsibility to maintain those normal living conditions inside the home throughout the life of the floor. Nonetheless, the existing hardwood flooring was not installed by our company. Regardless if the previous company who installed the floor did not acclimate the wood or if the customers/previous owners did not maintain a consistent environment for the flooring our company cannot be responsible for the bevels or the gapping that existed prior to our work being performed. If increasing the RH in the home and therefore increasing the MC (moisture content) in the wood does not close the gaps then the only way to get rid of them would be to tear out the floor and install new. If the customer wanted or could afford to have this flooring in the kitchen and under the cabinets removed and replaced then we would of gladly accepted the larger job. Wood filler was applied to the area of flooring that had gapping at the customer's request. This is an option when refinishing a wood floor. The fact that some of the filler has been removed is a clear sign that the wood is moving and therefore a consistent environment is not being maintained. Regardless, the fact that the customer is stating that the filler is the cause or was the cure for fixing the gaps between the boards is completely absurd. We would gladly refund the customer the $20 cost of the filler or the half hour of labor it took us to apply it but we didn't charge them for it. The cost of refinishing the existing floor would have been the same with or without the filler or putty. We would have eagerly accepted the job of removing the beveled floors with gapping and installed new hardwood if the customer wanted us to do so. The work performed was exactly as stated on the contract/estimate/invoice. All of the services and material provided was in line or below of the industry standards along with a coupon the customer used from a magazine for $150 and the installation of two free wood flush mounted vents. We have made two house calls to the customers residence and addressed all their concerns. At the time of the last house call the customer had no concerns with the flooring that was installed by our company which was inspected and was found to be in great condition with no gaps like the ones in the previously installed area. This was approximately 2 years from the time the work was completed. We are one of the top 5 largest hardwood flooring companies in Southwest Ohio and we complete approximately 150 hardwood flooring jobs per year. Our work is professional, completed to the highest degree of craftsmanship and our workers take great pride in what they do and how they treat our customers as the Revdex.com records will show from previous customer reviews.
I enjoyed working for these customers and would be happy to resolve their issues with the gaps in their flooring. They received and paid for the exact amount and scope of work of which was listed on their contract. If they would like to have the flooring that was installed by another company removed and replaced with new then we would be happy to discuss those options with them. I would even go as far as to discounting the sanding part of the flooring that is replaced. It seems to be quite an opportunistic attitude to realistically expect our company to completely replace a floor of which we didn't even install when all they paid for and agreed upon was to refinish it almost 3 years ago. Which we did to a level high enough that they referred their neighbors to use us for their hardwood flooring project.
