to respond to each complain, our responses will be numbered below:Our academic advisors have had numerous conversations with Ms [redacted] regarding transcripts, courses, requirements, etcWe have tech and academic support of various degrees available hours a day to assist with any "issues" that may arriseClass schedules for November, December and January are attached for your reviewAs you can see, we do offer a variety of courses over a variety of times each monthWe are not always going to be able to accommodate everyone's schedule to perfection, but we do offer various classes at various times throughout the weekThere are multiple calls documented and numerous chats on Ms***'s accountOne of our academic advisor's called Ms [redacted] on 11/9, and she called back later very upset that we calledClasses can be scheduled online at any timeWe initially had Ms [redacted] scheduled for a November class, and she wanted to be removedWe have since not placed her in any additional courses, but she registered herself for an online Anatomy course beginning 12/15/On 10/26/via live chat, Ms [redacted] stated that she had submitted transcripts and wanted to know how long the evaluation process would take because "Based on the evaluation I would like to select classes for November which will be starting soon." On 10/27/16, Ms [redacted] called and spoke with someone in academics, because she was hoping to find an evening course in November for Anatomy and also for MicrobiologyMs [redacted] signed a contract, and a copy is attached for your reviewWe will not cancel her contract or issue any refunds on her accountWe will however, continue to provide a high level of support and do what we can to see her complete the program and obtain her RNThat is our ultimate goal

Even during the signup presentation, the program was being sold as an "online class" and a nontraditional schoolThe business has also failed to state that I contacted them regarding the materials "taught" in their courseThe exam I was told to take had none of the material covered in the "course" I was taking for two monthsDue to the subject matter of the exam and poor service when trying to reach the "course" instructor, I decided to investigate Distance Learning SystemsUpon this investigation, I noticed that many others have had the same issuesWhy pay and take "courses" in which the exam has nothing to do with what was being "taught?" Even with assistance, the instructor, Manal E [redacted] , nor Josh G [redacted] would take my phone calls or be reached via emailThe emails that I tried to send to MsE [redacted] were being sent back to me with an error message and that I couldn't even reach her on the email address given to meI also contacted MrG [redacted] and the academic department to withdraw on April 15, Also, MrG [redacted] claimed that this program was accredited and promised that this nontraditional school was a feasible way to reach my Registered Nurse degreeHowever, they are not accredited and the "courses" seem to not educate one for an examEven before the exam, Distance Learning Systems were giving me the runaround regarding a "course" scheduleThis gave me a red flag, and the situations after the exam further prove that Distance Learning Systems is nothing but a fraudThey promised an easy way to further my education and career, but it is evident that this is not the case and a waste of time and moneyFrom my investigation, they seem to take advantage of people hoping to better themselves.I have attached a photo that was taken during the sign up presentation on how their nontraditonal "schooling" is better than other optionsThis was and is very misleadingAlso, I have attached emails from my previous encounters with Distance Learning Systems, including the error messages and my wishes to withdraw.With my complaints, attachments, and unsatisfactory "education" received from Distance Learning Systems, I wish the contract be terminated as well as receive a refund of any fees taken from meI did not receive what I was promised and what I encountered was enough to see that I was being taken advantage of financially.Thank you very much for looking into this matterRegards, [redacted]

Ms [redacted] was pulled from her A&P class on 4/11/due to inactivityShe had not logged in for days so she was pulledShe called in and spoke to someone in academics on 4/12/and stated that since she was removed she was just going to focus on her Microbiology review for her exam right nowOn 5/11/she contacted our academic department and said that she wanted to stop and take a breatherAt that time she was informed of the 72-hour cancellation policy and that her payments would still be due, but that she could put her classes on hold at any timeSince that time she has stopped making payments on her account, and has been sent to collections

Ms [redacted] enrolled in our program on 10/15/Her contract was very clear on all the fees, monthly payments, and enrollment costs with Excelsior CollegeThe 72-hour cancellation is also very clearly documented on four different pages throughout the contractMs [redacted] has passed a total of examsThe only "issue" we have documented aside from her not wanting to pay, is an issue with logging inOn June 185, she called in because she could no longer log in to her Developmental Psychology courseThis was because the class was over, and it was closedThe resolution was to place her into an "open" class so she could continue her studies.On 1/15/Ms [redacted] called in and was extremely upset that we do not provide any tax documentsWe are not the degree granting institution and cannot provide any type of 1098-T formWe did advise Ms [redacted] to contact her tax professional to discuss the matter when she files her income tax returnShe stated that if we did not cancel her contract and issue a full refund she will file a complaint with the Revdex.comShe was again told that we cannot cancel her contract, and she ended the call.We will continue to provide Ms [redacted] with the coursework needed to continue to pass her exams, but we will not cancel her contract

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below When reading Distance Learning Systems response, I do not understand how one could tell the tone of my attitude when writingI was not calm or in a calm manner when contacting Distance Learning SystemsAlso, there is not any mention of the text messages to Josh G***, in which I was told to contact from Academics who could not answer any of my questionsJosh G [redacted] would not answer my calls and would any communicate via test message, which I found highly unprofessionalAlso, there is not any mention of how the material on the exam did NOT mirror anything from the "course" I tookAs to regards with my emails to Manal, it is very shady when a test is taken that doesn't have any material, then you contact the instructor and there is an error messageI sent every email to the address provided from Manal and from academicsFurthermore, I became dissatisfied with the program before taking the assessment when contacting the academic departmentThey could not answer what my course schedule would be, only referring me to the websiteI questioned academics multiple times regarding this, still getting the runaroundIt was after I took the assessment and from the poor feedback I received that I knew something was not right with Distance Learning SystemsA final note: there was never any mention of Josh G*** from Distance Learning SystemsHe sold this company as a school (as noted in the prior response and attachment photo) and he did not respond to me in a professional mannerAgain, I want this contract terminatedIf I can not be reimbursed the money I spent, I want the bills from [redacted] to stopWhy should money be spent if the end result was not what I was promisedMrG [redacted] promised a degree AND creditsThis corporation seems to be scamming innocent people and it needs to endI will rather spend my hard earned finances toward a real education at a quality, accredited institution Regards, [redacted]

[redacted] enrolled in our program on 2/5/2016, and signed a retail installment contractShe is upset that she failed an exam, and that is understandableOur academic department attempted to contact [redacted] via text and email when we receive the failed exam grade report to see what we could do to helpShe never respondedWe have a guarantee on our courses that if she were to take the exam again within months of failing and fail again - we will refund the cost of that particular course to herBut we cannot help her if we don't know what she needs help with.I have included a copy of her contract for your reviewThe contract is very clear in stating the facts that we are not a college or university, and that there are additional fees for testing and college that are not paid to Distance Learning SystemsThe contract also very clearly states that the cancellation period is 72-hours and beyond that cancellation period, there is no cancellation or refundThe cost of the testing fees are also covered in detail on page of the welcome pack that was sent to Ms [redacted] via email.If you have any questions or need anything additional, please let me know

Ms [redacted] failed her Microbiology exam initially in March and it was requested from her at that time that she submit her exam scores so we could look over the ares she struggled with and help her with the re-testShe never did thatWe work very hard to insure our online program meets ALL learning modalities: Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic and TactileWhen the program is utilized correctly success in inevitableOur Microbiology class is taught by a Biologist with amazing reviews (see testimonials attached)We will not cancel her contract, but we will refund the cost of this one course once we have both failing grades per the guarantee in our contractI have attached a copy of her contract as well

The purchasers account was set up at [redacted] Finance on November 5, per Distance Learning SystemsWe are a financial institution for DLSIAccording to the compliant is sounds as if the purchaser is upset with DLSI and not [redacted] FinanceWe are sent the agreements after the hour cancellation period with DLSI has endedThere were several instances where the purchaser called [redacted] to change payment dates and payment methods DLSI is not a school and is not affiliated with [redacted] which they don't need to beThe purchaser of the programs can still go through [redacted] which DLSI explained to her in Dec Purchaser was then upset in January that she was pulled from classIt was not until June 13, that she called and stated that she was not going to pay [redacted] can't cancel an agreement after the hour cancellation periodDLSI would have to make that decision

I have attached a copy of Ms***'s enrollment agreement for your reviewThe information regarding the TEAS testing is very clearly documented on her enrollment agreementIn addition to that documentation - the TEAS testing is covered in the online orientation class (which is required for all clients)Ms [redacted] never attended that orientation class, and I have also attached that documentation for your reviewWe were clear up front regarding Excelsior's change to include the TEAS testing and we have even created an online class to assist our clients in passingWe are not cancelling this contract, but we will continue to provide and exceptional level of service and support that she is contract for.If you have any questions or require any additional documentation, please let me know

I am not 100% what the original complaint was as it was sent to [redacted] Finance and I cannot respond to anything related to themWhat I can add to this is that Ms [redacted] did email academic support on 1/upset that she was pulled from classRuthy in our academic department explained that if you are not logging in weekly, we will pull you from class for attendanceShe was placed back into the class on 1/and then removed again on 1/for inactivitiyFrom February through May her personal coach called and left messages for her to contact usOn June 7, we received a text message from Ms [redacted] stating that she was no longer interested in attending our program and to please remove herMs [redacted] signed a contract with a 72-hour cancellation periodThis cancellation period is clearly documented on different pages throughout the contractThis policy was also explained to her over the telephone on 12/15/by Jack W***, our National Sales ManagerI have attached a copy of her contract for your review I have also included a copy of the addendums that were signed by Ms [redacted] to add a course to her contract

On 4/13/2017, Ms [redacted] attended an information session regarding our programAt that time, she received an enrollment agreement sent to her emailI have attached the contract history to verify that the agreement was sent to, viewed, and signed from Ms [redacted] 's email addressThere is a 72-hour cancellation period on this agreement that is clearly documented in the contractShe requested a post-dated down payment date of 4/24/On 4/17/Andrew M [redacted] reached out to get the remaining digits on her credit card (she only provided us with digits) She did not respond to him until 4/and at that time was the first she mentioned of not wanting to enroll in the program.Her contract history, and enrollment agreement are both attachedIf you need any additional information, please let me know.Thank you,Betsy D***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Distance Learning Center Employee Aaron C [redacted] never gave me a welcoming packet with any of this information in it and further more he stated in the conferance that Distance Learning Systems was affiliated with Excelsior College not once did he say that they was a Turtoring service and he also said that the first half was to be financed with there affiliated company and the second half could be paid for by fafsa gov assistance grant and even scolarships Instead everything was financed over dollarsI would like to be with drawn from the program it is Fraudulant and advertisement on there part mr C [redacted] did not even allow me to see the written contract all was on his computer and all my information was not filled out in the contract there is a portion of the contract that was supposed to be initialed by me and was not I am asking that all payments are stopped immediately and I will no longer access the program I have not used but two classes and was charged ahead of all being used for courses I have email from Excelsior College admission stating they are not affiliated with any outside source and also email from Mr C [redacted] giving me the school code for Excelsior College for me to apply for fafsa assistance to pay for my schooling and I am now told by Daniel that I can not use FAFSA to pay for anything I have text messages with this information from him also All I would like from this if they are unwilling to refund me my money paid is to unenroll me and stop all payments owed to benfranklin financial I do not want to be any part of this frauntulant company and the associated lies with them They withing the seminar should say bluntly they are a tutoring company not any kind of school associated with another school I have also read many complaints from other clients with the same complaints of advertising I was also never told about having to pay over $dollars for tests after each class When I am already paying over $for classes I was never told about the hour cancellation period or given a formal written paper contract from Aaron C [redacted] Please look over this and contract or not a lie is a lie and taking advantage of people is wrong and not morrally right to do Regards, [redacted]

Ms [redacted] signed a retail installment contract on 8/19/There has been communication between our academic department and Ms [redacted] multiple times since her enrollment into our programThe contract that she signed (attached for your review) has a 72-hour recision period that is clearly documented in the contract on pagesMs [redacted] first contacted our office regarding her wishes to cancel on 9/19/stating reason of lack of communication (again - there had contact between Ms [redacted] and our academic department on multiple occasions regarding her transcripts and removing one class from her plan that she already received credit for)The cancellation period was explained to her at that time (and is clearly documented in the contract that she signed on different pages).Our program works, we have clients successfully completing our program on a regular basisWe have a pass rate that is higher than most colleges and universitiesWhile we will not cancel Ms***'s contract outside the cancellation period, we will provide her the service and materials she enrolled forIt is our goal, just as it is hers, for her to complete our program successfully to obtain her Associates Degree from Excelsior College, pass her state boards, and earn her RN license

I understand Ms [redacted] frustrationShe did however sign a contract that stipulates a 72-hour cancellation policy (I have attached that contract for your review) Ms [redacted] needs to add coursesAfter speaking with the president of the company, he has agreed to offer her of those courses for free to assist with the additional cost

As far as accents being something we need to adjust to, yes I agree, but only when you are actually being taught and not simply being read to And as far as your company not being required to have a relationship with the degree granting institution, it is not I that stated you did, it was stated in the webinar "we partnered with excelsior to provide classrooms for their courses" I am very well aware of the fact that your company is not affiliated in any way shape or form with my degree granting institution Regards, [redacted]
