Asleep at the Wheel
Pathetic customer service provided with an ostensible lack of supervision or any plan to properly and expediently resolve customers' concerns. Anybody doubting the validity of this hypethosis need only review the prior 33 assessments of the train wreck that is Advanced Disposal.

Our company modulated from a bi-monthly to an "as-needed" pick up schedule at Covid-19's inception. For reasons unknown and never explained, our expense went up 30 plus percent for service less than 1/2 of frequency of what we once received. What's more, the highly motivated, energetic drivers eschew any garbage outside the bin, even one cardboard box, blaming it on "the pandemic". Never mind that this has apparently been company policy since neanderthals walked the earth, it sounds good and simply is not worth the engery to challenge so Advanced Disposal goes with it. The bills that this trainwreck organization provides vary from month to month despite the provision of static (that is, unchanging) service each time its driver shows up. When asked for an explanation, the low level phone clerk, devoid any training, explains the unexplainable using company specific terms that make little sense to the uninitiated. It's as if these no-minds are "making things up as they go along. It's tedious and, much like FedEx, this company's customer service proclivities and capabilities stink like the week old diapers it somehow forgets to haul away. Elon Musk could become a billionare three times over once again by designing an intuitive response to the type of service this horrific organization provides. Should you be foolish enough, like I was more than four years ago, to sign on with these people, make sure to avoid, like Covid 19, a five year contract. We were unable to do so, having moved into a space requiring expedited haul away at the time and a dearth of other nearby providers willing and/or able to service our area. Several very capable, cost effective and customer focused entities have, since that time, entered the market and their users, many of whom fled from this disasterous organization for greener pastures which frankly cannot be hard to find. My estrogen producing Labrador, and the lawn on which she micturates regularly, leaves behind such (greener pastures, that is) than this company, hellbent, as it seems, on screwing up every one car funeral it encounters.

We have used this company for our residential garbage for about months during which time our yard dumpster was dumped less than timesOur arrangement was for removal of household garbage every other ThursdayThis company failed to pick up week after week for straight weeksWhenever they would come to pick up the garbage, my husband or myself would have to call to remind them that it was trash dayVery unprofessionalTheir reason for not picking up was because "the dumpster was in an unsafe location"A location that the site evaluator deemed appropriate on THREE separate occasionsInitially before the dumpster was delivered, we discussed where we wanted to dumpster to be placed, he agreed that it was a great spot; when the dumpster was delivered, they had no problem with it; and a month after the dumpster was delivered we had another site evaluation and the manager, Doug, said the location was in no way dangerousHe also informed my husband and me that "they had a hard time keeping driversThere were several new guys who didn't know how to drive the big trucksAnd that it was difficult for them to maneuver and that was probably why they weren't able to dispose of the garbage..." Again, something that should have been discussed upon the initial site evaluation, not months after obtaining the services and paying money to have garbage removed and not actually receiving services for itAlso might I add, we did not receive any form of reimbursement for the months of service that we had payed for in advance

Advanced Disposal is providing "inconsistent service". I always pay my bills on time, account: L 1087105. It was not picked up on Friday, July 7, 2017, and bears and crows are dragging it all over. I have cleaned up the mess 3 times and this poor service is causing me a lot of grief and extra expense for all the extra bags for rewrapping every day. The real insult arrived today - I see the cost of service just went up ! I would like my garbage picked up consistently every Friday morning.

They do the absolute minimum. Watched them on my security camera recording. They emptied the rolling container and left the garbage bags outside the container. Second truck picked up the recycling and left the bags. I complained and they said they could schedule a pickup of excess garbage at next pickup date but would only do that once a month. It might be better for me to save the money and take my trash to the landfill when necessary than do it when they refuse to.

Review: I was charged for service on 1/7/2016 of $77.25. Within about a weeks time of this charge, I cancelled my service and decided to go with a different provider. I was informed that I would receive a full refund but it would take about 6-8 weeks to receive a check in the mail for the refund. On 3/23 I followed up with the company representative to ask about my refund and she stated there was a "computer issue" that blocked my refund and she would resolve it for me but could not provide me of any exact details regarding my refund.Desired Settlement: I would like the full refund of $77.25 immediately as it has already been over 8 weeks since my payment was received and I have had no services provided to me for that payment. Either a refund check needs to be issued that day or a refund to my credit card that was charged should be made immediately. Also, the company needs to assess how they process refunds and why customers are not being treated fairly or followed up with when a "computer error" occurs.

Very poor service with trash pick up. Garbage can was only emptied half way for two weeks in a row. No response to complaints to customer service until I called the city. Driver is extremely rude and biligerent. Called customer service with no response on how they plan to resolve the ongoing driver issue.

Review: We left our recycled bin outside for collection. As it looked like it could rain, we put a lid on the bin to ensure that the magazines we were recycling would not get wet, making it too heavy for the collector. No one on our street has lids on their recycling bins. The collector came and decided he would not collect that and did not put the lid back on. Now the paper contents in the bin are wet. Speaking to customer service, they just flat out told us it was our fault for filling the bin up. The same bin with similar contents and weight was collected last week with no issues. The rep, Diane, insisted that that was done out of courtesy. So how is a resident supposed to know that was outside of the norm? I asked that she speak with her dispatcher, Ileah, who was just as unreasonable, stating that they would come back next week. It is spring now, daily showers are common. Are they expecting us to lug the bin back down our sloped driveway back into the house and put it back out there a week later?? This is one reason why we do not recycle. If there is an issue, collectors should leave a note explaining why. Most importantly, why did he leave the lid on the ground, exposing the bin to more rain?Desired Settlement: Finish what they are contracted to do.

Beware of this companies service agreements! They lock you into a contract with a guaranteed rate for one year on a five year service agreement and the price goes up and up. If you can't afford it that's too bad. They have the right to raise prices change service and you have no rights except to pay whatever they choose to bill you. I would negotiate a one year agreement each year rather than a 3 or 5 year agreement. And the service is awful! Missed pick ups. Half emptied dumpsters. That is what happens when free competition in business is eliminated by County, State, Fed governments!

We signed up to start servies with Advanced severalmonths ago. They delivered our bins on a timely basis, but our garbage, along with everyone elses on the rest of our street is still sitting at the street after two days! WHat a mistake!! I cancelled service with a really good company because they were a bit more expensive, I guess you get what you pay for!! No one to talk to about it.....just leave a message, and if you have a Friday pick up date, you are out of luck!!

Horrible customer service all the way around. We had backdoor service but it was discontinued. So we switched over to curbside and it has been a real pain to get them to pick up. Today was the worst. I had dropped off my container and was standing right next to it when the driver drove by but did not stop. I waved for him to stop, he simply waved back and drove on by. Called the dispatcher immediately who put in a work order to stop back by, but based upon past experience I will bet they won't come back today. Why is there always enough time to do it twice rather than the right way to begin with? Terrible service.

Review: My problem is with Advanced Disposal out of Somerset, PA. On July 15th, we received a letter from them indicating that our garbage service has been suspended because of non-payment. After that, we stopped putting out our garbage for pick-up because we had private dumpsters in front of our house to handle the remodeling debris. Now we've gotten a second bill for garbage service, indicating that our service is NOT suspended (never mind that we haven't paid because we haven't been using it) and Advanced Disposal has twice refused to be reasonable about the bill, they only repeat over and over that we're required by the city to have garbage service, which is kind of funny because the city has said no such thing. When I called earlier today, I was told that they have no record whatsoever of my service being suspended and that I have to pay the bill regardless of whether or not I think I'm being ripped off. I can fax a copy of the letter Advanced Disposal sent me to whatever number you guys give me, to show that they TOLD me I couldn't put my garbage out and are now trying to tell me that I could've been putting my garbage out after all.

I noticed on the website that Advanced Disposal has been pulling bt with other people as well, and if they refuse to be reasonable when contacted by a Revdex.com representative, I'd like to see them fined. They're lying to their customers.Desired Settlement: I want my bill adjusted to reflect ONLY what I owe from using the service prior to July 15th when I was informed that my service was suspended.

I have called the customer multiple times at the number provided. She has a voicemail that has not yet been set up. As a Johnstown resident, it is mandatory to pay for trash service. I have attached a copy of the ordinance. Unfortunately, Advanced Disposal may not make changes to the invoice as we are operating under contract with the City of Johnstown.

Review: Ignore billing error and keep billing me and provided proof payment never late and keep billing more each month?

Customer 30 plus yrs.last 2quarters 15.00 in late fees and said I missed a bill. Faxed proof x 2 and have proof I paid and never late a payment. I was ignored and now have another 5.95 late and states I owe34.39 past due. Billing must've changed this year never had issue before this year. I am actively looking for new service but not sure if available my area. Can you provide name of another garbage service as I see advance disposal won't address Revdex.com complaints is their trend so I know you can't resolve as I cannot with my proof of payment.Desired Settlement: If they won't respond provide me with another disposal waste residential please. I was faithful customer 30 plus years and sorry their billing must have changed and never dealt with this before. Thank you I faced twice last time was July 2015.

I own apartment buildings and after multiple price increases and them admitting to over charging I decided to use another service. Yes customer service is friendly but the common response is sorry we cant help you or a manger will call you asap.

All I asked for is for them to remove the dumpster and credit my account since I'm no longer under contract. Emails ,voicemail and several and I mean several calls have been ignored. Also need to mention you will be hung up on several times while on hold and your trash will not be emptied as promised. Customers beware. Terrible management.

Review: Advanced Disposal is contracted to collect trash and recycling on a weekly basis. The company failed to collect all of my trash on June 25, 2015. I contacted the company around 10am on June 25, and the representative indicated that a truck would be sent back to pick up the remaining trash. I contacted the company a second time around 3:45pm, and the representative said that the trucks were done for the day and that I would need to wait until the following week. The trash was never collected.Desired Settlement: Send a truck to pick up the remaining trash immediately. Refund trash collection fee.

Review: Advanced Charges their customers 3 months in advance, At the end of the last three months that I paid I informed the driver that I was suspending my account until April 2015 as I own a lawn care company and didn't require services again until that time. Service stopped on that day, the driver never returned. The company continued sending bills and collection notices for the next 3 months of service.I left several messages for the company saying exactly what I had said to the driver. I received yet another invoice for 6 months services, finally I got through to a live person who was argumentativeand stated that I can not stop service by message "No prier notice of this rule was ever quoted to me"She also stated that I am not allowed to let the driver know either "Also never explained to me"She stated that they called me which they did, I missed their calls for such reasons as running equipment or talking with customers And promptly returned their call to only get a message machine AGAIN.She said that my voice mail was listed as not setup, I receive voice mails every single day from suppliers and customers. She will not take the amount down because I can not say exactly which day was the last pickup and she will not ask the driver because he will not remember, I am expected to remember that though she says. When I informed her I was going to continue as a customer in april but now I would not she replied with the term "GOOD"Desired Settlement: She dropped the amount to $65.00, since they charge in advance and my service ended on the last pickup of the pre-paid billing cycle I will not pay for services I did NOT receive. I want this amount removed. I wished to continue using their services as I liked their services.I want this matter straightened out, I just want my bill to have stopped until April and service started again in April They are as much at fault as I am and this doesn't have to see a courtroom unless they choose.

In regards to the complaint of [redacted] Advanced Disposal Services considers it resolved. Mr. [redacted] states he requested service to be suspended at the end of November, 2014. He received an invoice for January through February, 2015 and asked why he was billed because he requested suspension of service at the end of November, 2014. We had no record of his request but that does not mean he did not request it. His account was credited for December, 2014 through March, 2015. Review: After four requests to remove trash bins from former residence, the bins remain. Additionally, refund for prepaid service still not received.

9/2/15 - Requested trash service to end on 9/14/15 due to upcoming move (Spoke with [redacted] at Advanced Disposal). Instructed to leave cans on property and they would be picked up within the week following the final trash collection. Was also informed that we would be refunded $154.73 remaining on our prepayment.

10/5/15 - New homeowners informed us that bins still had not been picked up. I called Advanced Disposal and was told they'd be picked up within a week.

10/22/15 - Bins still not picked up. Was told that they'd be picked up by the weekend. Also told refund check should be "arriving any day."

10/26/15 - Bins have still not been picked up and refund check has still not arrived. New homeowners becoming increasingly frustrated with the bins' presence on their property. Additionally, I'm still owed $154.73.

Our service from Advanced Disposal ended over a month ago and I would expect both of these issues to be resolved promptly.Desired Settlement: I expect the bins to be picked up immediately and a refund in the amount of $154.73 to be in my hands within a week.

The cans have been removed and the customer has received refund. This has been confirmed by contacting the customer to ensure all has been completed. When we received the complaint I did personally follow up with the representative from Revdex.com over the phone and via email they ensured me this would be closed.

Review: Over the past month or so, I have noticed my garbage being picked up on a different day, with no notification to me. My standard pick up day is Wednesday morning, which I verified. I began keeping track, on 7-7 and 7-14 my garbage was picked up, at 10 PM, a day ahead of schedule. On 7-22-15 it was picked up at 3 AM. I called in today 7-24-15, with this as a concern. I spoke to [redacted] she stated the Uniontown office was aware of this. And stated that is why they ask for it to be out the night before. I informed her, the night before is almost impossible for me, as my garbage can has been lit on fire a few time. Leaving me to clean that up, and fighting them to pick up the destroyed garbage can. She replied with, if the night before isn't an option, then by 4 AM. I then informed her of the 3 AM pick up this week, so that wouldn't have worked either. She cut me off and informed me that Uniontown was aware of the problem. I asked to speak with a supervisor, she told me there wasn't one available. I asked when I could expect a call back, she stated Wednesday. I said I find it very hard to believe there isn't going to be a supervisor until Wednesday. She replied with they are on vacation. I told her to have a fantastic day and hung up.

My problem isn't that my garbage wasn't picked up, rather, I have garbage that stays in my basement until the pick up day and goes out. So not knowing the day they will be there affects this. There is no where on my bill that states to have my garbage out the night before either. In addition to, the conversation with the rep. This is in no way the parties who collect fault.Desired Settlement: I feel, we, customers should be notified of a change. I feel I am paying for a service I am not receiving correctly. I do not feel a supervisor is unavailable until Wednesday to address a customers concern. I do not want the parties collecting to be penalized.

Hello. My name is [redacted]. I am a neighbor of a previous Advanced Disposal customer [redacted] from [redacted] in Pottstown. My husband did her a favor when she moved to Colorado and her house was sold. Took her trash down for her to get collected the last time. I was told that the trash bin will be collected afterwards. A few days later it was still sitting out by the curb unfortunately near my driveway in plain sight. Since the new neighbors park on the street and they have been moving it for space/parking purposes, it had ended up sitting closer and closer to my house. Called to check in on the collection status. Spoke to at least 5 to 6 reps on different days and times since last week. Was told it will be collected. Today marks the end of the 2nd week and it is still not collected. I provided these people with my number. No call back or updates. I called back myself and every time it seems like nobody cares! They keep saying they will arrange... well how many weeks is this going to take? Who wants to look at a trash bin everyday? It is sitting in front of by house by the driveway! I did their customer a favor and this is what I was left to deal with? What kind of business are they running? It seems like they stopped caring after their past customer left and unfortunately this is what we get for being nice. I hope for this to get picked up the soonest possible time. They delivered the new customer's (my new neighbor) new trash bins with no problems right away but could not pick this one up all of a sudden? Unacceptable!

This company acquired our previous provider. Don't use Advanced Disposal if you want your garbage pickup. It continuously misses a pickup of waste and/or recycling. Then it will take 3 or 4 calls to get it picked up. Customer service people are friendly but do nothing. If you are told it will be picked up the next day, it won't be. Excuses are always; substitute driver was on that run, the truck is running late (which means it is not going to come at all), the truck is broken. I have lived in different cities from Pennsylvania (currently) to the Mid-West to South Miami and have never experienced anything near as bad as this disposal company; totally mismanaged.

Review: After receiving a notice from Advanced Disposal advising they could not charge the last 3 months of garbage service on my business visa (I had assumed the card # had changed), I sent a check of $121.35 on 5/15/2015. Then after receiving my visa bill, I saw that Advanced Disposal also charged me $121.35 on 5/20/2015. I contacted the representative for duplicated payment and asked for a refund and to stop my services effective 5/27/2015 and went with another garbage service provider. An email was also sent on 6/2/2015 to their area representative - [redacted] as a 2nd request to have the refund issue and to stop services after receiving another bill from them. Today, 6-26-2015 I received another bill showing a credit of $41.13 instead of the full credit of $121.35. They are continuing to bill for services not rendered and have not issued the refund for the duplicate payment made in May. Any assistance to this matter would be appreciated.Desired Settlement: Refund duplicate payment made on May 15th and May 20th for $121.35.
