Review: I canceled garbage pick up service in January 2015 due to poor service. I had paid in full for a year in advance. I have recieved an invoice stating the credit on my account. When I canceled I was told to expect a refund in 4-6 weeks. It did not arrive. I called today and was told it would come in 4-6 weeks.Desired Settlement: I expect a check within a resonable amount of time for the amount shown on my statement. I should also be due a late fee that they would have charged me, had I been this late with my payment.

He confirmed today via telephone that he got his initial containers delivered to the address indicated in the complaint. Review: We have been in contact with this company in regards to picking up our for 3 weeks now. We are continually told it will be done and still hasn't happened. There are multiple properties on my lane with garbage setting out. Animals have torn out garbage and we have had to re-bag many times now. We have also contacted out Township and were given a phone number to call, but all you can do is leave a message. No contact made back at this time.Desired Settlement: Pick up my garbage on time.

Review: My complaint is with trash removal. On May 7,2015, I had 10 bags of trash in a bag and 10 boxes to be picked up, which they did.On May 14,2015 I had the same amount of trash and the only thing they picked up was the bags, no boxes. On May 7, 2015 they picked up everything and I told her that. She said: they did it as a courtesy.I was very upset and contacted Advance Disposal and spoke to a [redacted] (she was mean and rude to me on the phone) when I told her that if it wasn't for me and others, she would not have a job. (She mumbled under her breath and said: we have plenty of customers) I thought if that were me to say that I would of been fired.Anyhow [redacted] proceeded on telling me that there were 20 bags of trash (NOT TRUE 10)my neighbor will verify this. She said that I have to contact them that it is in my lease. I have NO such lease and I told her that. Her response was to contact the borough to let them know. I never heard of such a thing, as my neighbors did not either. She also told me that I had to break down the boxes. I went nuts! I said: THEY ARE EMPTY! I am very upset with this Company. We have a municipal agreement with [redacted] township which includes an ordinance. Our ordinance states we are only to take 6 bags and also that the boxes must be broken down. This is not unusual in our business and it serves as a way to protect us from the high tonnage costs uncured when residents place large amount of waste at the curb. We were simply operating within the guidelines of our ordinance. Because we pride ourselves in our customer service and we know that sometimes residents are cleaning up, we instruct our employees to pick up everything at the curb in [redacted] as a one time courtesy. If we're back there the very next week and there is again an unusual amount of material (outside our ordinance guidelines), we comply with the ordinance. This is exactly what happened at the residence of Ms. [redacted]. Also to be noted, we do a "Spring Cleanup" in [redacted] which took place on 5/7/15. This cleanup gives residents a great opportunity to throw out anything unwanted with no regard for limits - we take everything. Additionally, we take "bulk items" by appointment only. This process is simple: a resident calls in and requests the free bulk pickup and describes the materials that will be taken. We then send out our bulk pickup truck to handle these heavy items once each month. I have email correspondence between [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] in which [redacted] patiently and accurately described to Ms. [redacted] the requirements for collection in her area. She also provided Ms. [redacted] with a link to our website where it describes the bulk pickup policy. I will attest that [redacted] was very professional and handled an irate Ms. [redacted] very well. Most importantly, Ms. [redacted]'s trash has been cleaned up, and I believe she now better understands our policies. [redacted]This response was sent by [redacted], General Manager of W.PA & MD. I've addressed the issues with [redacted], the customer service representative who handled this call. I've also listened to the call myself and was very satisfied with the level of professionalism shown by [redacted].The guidelines for trash collection are attached. In section 7.4, it clearly states 6 bag limit. The Township notified customers of the cleanup day via local newspaper. I believe after reading the attachment you will find we went above and beyond the the contractual obligations.

Review: I rented a dumpster with a neighbor.It was only supposed to be for a week. They nvr warned me they would take the deposit out when the dumpster was delivered.Both our bank accounts bounced.My neighbor informed me that hey had attempted to Debit the whole amount to her account. When I made my deposit it took 4 days to withdraw from my account. I literaly took a moneyorder to theyre office to settle the bill.Because everytime I call them it takes forever for anything.Now after 4 Days of waiting I call them to find out what happened and they did nothing.I told them to take the bin when I paid the bill Now Im being charged every day for theyre mistakes.Is it really that hard to split a bill?Is it really that hard to warn a customer that credit card transactions take almost a week to go through? In reference to ID [redacted]. We have several documented attempts to resolve this issue. We have several authorized attempts to receive payment for services that were declined. We also had arraignments for payment after he gets paid from his work. Charges were paid eventually and container was removed. [redacted] lft msg stating that he was coming to our office to show us we a bunch of “F”. We stopped all communication with him for safety reasons.

Review: I own a home at [redacted] in the city of [redacted] where Advanced Disposial has a contract. The trash bill is attached to the taxes and is paid every year. Last week I ran my credit report and there is charges from Advanced Disposial on my credit report. I called them to discover they are for [redacted]. I explained to them there is no house at 353 it is an empty lot attached to 351 where the home is located and that bill is paid. They stated there is nothing they could do. I am being charged for trash service at a location that does not have a home and now it's on my credit report. My credit score is dropping because of this collection and they refuse to get it removed.Desired Settlement: I want the account deleated since it should not exist and bill removed from my credit score

We spoke with this customer on 2-23-15 and closed the account in question after we were made aware of the situation. The balance was removed from the account and recalled from the collection agency on the same day. We recently purchased a home in [redacted] and had to transfer the trash and recycling service to our name. I submitted an online form for the change on 3/26/16, thinking that it was a really convenient option.

Two weeks later, on 4/10/15, we'd still received no notification of the change so I called Advanced Disposal and spoke with a gentleman who ensured me that the change would be made, we'd keep the previous owner's trash bins, and he gave me an account number. The following week, when the trash and recycling service came, they confiscated the trash and recycling bins. I contacted the company again, while on vacation (4/17/15), and was on hold for 16 minutes before I just hung up.

I contact the company again on 4/20/15 and spoke with a female named [redacted]. When I gave her the account number that the gentleman had previously provided, it was linked to a completely different customer. She apologized and stated that we had no account even set up. She then set me up with an account and assured me that we could put our trash and recycling out on pick up day, and the bins would be dropped off. I watched from my window as the trash and recycling services came, and left no bins.

I contacted the company again that day (4/22/15), and spoke with [redacted]. She stated that "they mess up all the time" and that the bins were still scheduled to be delivered that day, but they had 104 work orders for the day.

It is nearly one week later, and we still have no bins. I just contacted them again (4/28/15) and spoke with a gentleman. When I mentioned that this was one of several attempts I'd made to get this issue resolved, he was in no way apologetic or empathetic. He simply stated "The bins are scheduled to arrive tomorrow." We'll see if that's the case.

It's incredibly unfair that there is no alternative trash and recycling company in our area, and we're forced to just "deal" with extremely poor customer service. If I discover a competitor, I'd drop Advanced Disposal in a heartbeat.

Review: I called & cancelled our service on 9/6/2013 after our trash had not been picked up again. This was the 2nd wk in a row that our trash & that of others in our development was not picked up. We called them on several different dates, the last 2 being 8/29/2013 and 9/6/2013, about our trash not being picked up. Everytime they blamed it on new drivers & said they would send someone over, they never did. The last bill we pd was for service from 7/1/2013 through & inc 9/30/2013. As already stated we cancelled service on 9/6/2013 and requested a refund for the bal of service & the 2 wks that they did not pick up our garbage. In the beginning of Oct we called again & spoke to a lady named [redacted] because we received a new bill & no refund. She said we had to fax in proof that we had new service to ###-###-####. I told her again we wanted our service cancelled & she said they could not do that without PROOF of new service. I am free to cancel service anytime I choose. I DO NOT have a contract w/ them. The info was faxed & mailed several times!Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded for 5 weeks. The 2 that our trash was not picked up & the 3 after we cancelled service. We also want to be taken off their call list. I also want any possible marks on my credit removed! I paid them on time. They did not provide the service that was paid for in advance!

The customer has sent proof of another hauler as requested. Proof of another hauler was recieved on 5-19-14. As of today, 5-21-14, all adjustments have been made to this account. No further collections calls will be made to this customer on behalf of Advanced Disposal Services. As requested a refund in the amount of $34.94 has been requested to be sent back to the customer. The customer should recieve this refund, in check form, with in a two week time frame. At this time this matter has been resolved.

Review: As of June 10th 2015 [redacted] has tried to contact Advanced Disposal on several occasions regarding the trash pick up for our property located at [redacted]. We pay for trash to be removed twice a week, and it has been over 3 weeks since they have picked it up, the dumpster is over flowing with garbage, they keep telling us they are going to send someone out, but the trash collectors are contentiously stating someone is blocking the dumpster. On June 9th 2014 [redacted] had watched over all of our security cameras only to notice that advanced disposal had never even been to the building to know of whether or not someone is blocking it. We have 17 occupied units in this property and trash being pick up one every 3 weeks is not enough, especially when we are paying for it to be done twice a week. This issue should have been resolved the first time we called, they need to provide us the services we are paying for, this has been an on going issue since we purchased this building in August of 2014.Desired Settlement: Provide us with the services we are paying for and pick up the trash twice a week, when their isn't a pick up and we call to complain the trash should be pick up that day, not left to continue to overflow.

The container was not services because it was blocked by three different cars on three different occasions. Each time the driver noted the car and that information is as follows:6/3/15 - White Vehicle with Tennessee plates.6/8/15 - Silver Honda Acura plate# [redacted]6/10/15 - Chevrolet Cruz plate# [redacted] (driver blew horn while here this day)We have provided several courtesy pickups for this customer because of the blocked container. The customer was notified of this, but hung up the phone in frustration.I, the General Manager, went and serviced this container personally after receiving this Revdex.com complaint. A resident at the property told me the container is usually blocked in because of limited parking. Someone at the location had blocked off the two adjacent parking spots with orange cones, and I believe this will resolve the issue.

Review: We have moved , sold our house at the closing we paid a fee for garbage disposal, which was never used at our house but was still paid at the time of closing, never had a contract or signed any contract with them, after moving out of state a year later we start receiving bills for garbage disposal, they have turned us in to a collection agency, after we spoke with them. Review: Contacted customer service who insist they did not receive my payment. I have bank statement along with bill pay service verifying the company has the payment and it was cleared. Customer service was rude and not helpful, very unprofessional in the handling of the issue. The garbage service was to be picked up that Wednesday, they did not pick it up, simply placed a sticker on the garbage bag to contact their office, again, and left the garbage to sit and rot. I find this to be completely disappointing and unprofessional. I do not want this garbage to sit and begin to bother our neighbors with the smell as it sits. This is unacceptable and needs remedied immediately.Desired Settlement: Would like them to complete their job and pick up the trash immediately.

I am emailing in response to a Revdex.com complaint received here recently. The complaint is attached. This gentleman had an outstanding invoice from 12/13/2014 which he didn't pay until 4/27/2015. He also had another invoice outstanding from 3/31/2015 that he paid on 4/27/2015. This is why he had the [redacted] sticker placed on his account asking him to contact our office for immediate payment, and we did not collect his trash until it was paid. The invoice was several months past due and multiple phone calls and letters were sent in an effort to collect. It is standard for us to suspend service after all other options have been exhausted. Review: I was told there was a.past due amount of approx 130$ dating back to 2006 when the company was owned by another provider. I was double charged for my first billing quarter and when I called to inquire I was told the sum was collected to pay the credit collection agency who was handing my account (** service group) including a late fee. I spoke with ** services and explained the situation at which time I was told the account was to old for her to look into her system to look up and she believed it was sent back to advanced disposal. Advanced sent detailed invoice account inquiry listing 2006-current which shows all fees. Have been paid when broken.down. by dates credit card payment . I Submitted the requested amount so services would not be discontinued and told they would get back to me. I just spoke with the collection agent (Holly) this morning at which time I was told she was not an.employee at the time.these collections.begain and gave me a number for the person who was in charge of them at the prior date. I was told I had a.credit of .79c when my account should be ahead 78$Desired Settlement: I would like the buck to stop passing and wasting my time with unanswered questions and bogus explinations. I have wasted enough of my own time chasing answers from people who are no longer associated with this business. I would like the account satisfied and reviewed properly with the dates and payments matched showing these sums have been paid and my account credited properly.

Regarding the complaint, the customer’s past due account had been forwarded for collection to a third party collector. The balance was then paid by the customer to the third party collector and then mistakenly reinstated as past due by Advanced Disposal Services which indicated a past due balance.

An adjustment, correcting the customers account was posted February 12, 2014. The customer has been contacted; an explanation of the correction discussed and our sincerest apologies have been expressed.

Advanced Disposal Services has added additional review of activity with third party collections and our Customer Care & Collections personnel have been educated on the details of what occurred with this customer’s account in an effort to avoid any future occurrences.

Review: Advanced disposal has neglected to pick the trash up on schoolhouse road for two consecutive weeks now. Wednesday is our trash day, but you have to leave your trash out, because they may come Wednesday,or they may come Friday. Then you have a huge mess to clean up because over the course of 1-3 days, every animal in the countryside has been tearing it up and hauling it around the neighborhood. This is not the first time this has happened. It has been ongoing for quite some time. I have overlooked it in cases of bad weather, road construction, etc. I am tired of it, and we have no other choice for trash collection in this area. I think they figure since there are only two houses on this road that it isnt a huge deal if they bypass it, but it is!!!!!! And the situation is getting worse!!Desired Settlement: I just want my trash picked up consistantly........weekly.....every week...the same day. Thats all!!
