Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/09/28) */ Unfortunately on September 23rd and 24th we experienced some technical difficulties on our website with the pricing of many of our new vehicles. As soon as it was brought to my attention our IT department went diligently to work to resolve the issueIt was resolved as quickly as possibleWe understand and apologize that this caused frustration for some of our Customers. It also caused frustration with our staff and that might have contributed to [redacted] rush to judgmentWhen I was made aware of the issue I informed the Sales staff NOT to try to push for a sale as I felt that could be construed as a bait and switch tacticThat would probably explain why [redacted] didn't try to sell Mrs [redacted] the carAs a Revdex.com Torch Award recipient for ethics and fairness we take things like this very seriously. We again apologize for any inconvenience this caused. We appreciate Mrs [redacted] visiting our Dealership and sharing her commentsWe will use this situation to improve our processes if something like this should occur again Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (2000, 7, 2015/09/28) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Even though the experience is as sour as it can be, and their explanation sounds like a lame excuse, I wish not to pursue any further as I plan to do no business with Advantage ChevroletAnd just so you know, I was the one that made [redacted] aware of such pricess, he then, went on to communicate this to the manager, therefore, no prior warning of not pushing for sales WAS made to himI truly hope your "technical difficulties" are resolved

As Mr [redacted] stated this vehicle was sold AS-ISNo warrantyA vehicle like this doesn't get a point inspection like our vehicles that have a warrantyvehicles are priced accordinglyThere is an inherent risk when purchasing anything without a warranty and I beliver Mr [redacted] understands those riskWith that being said it is always our hope that a customer doesn't experience an issue when purchasing an AS IS vehicleIn this case there was an issue and even though we had no obligation to do so we paid $4,to repair Mr [redacted] 's transmissionHe paid $I believe that we went above and beyond in trying to make an unfortunate situation betterThank You with this matter

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:there was not a misunderstanding on my behalf at no time was I asked to run my credit or ever was told that they were using *** finances all there my conversation with the salesman was about *
*** *** and I also told him that my credit don't have to be run because I was already approved , and I also was charged a fee for them using that other Finance Company when I asked about it the saleman said it was a fee that *** *** added on I replied to him that *** *** never mentioned it to me Also I called ***
** *** and they never o submitted any information on my behalf so they couldn't say if I was getting a better rate or not they did a bait and switch without my approval or knowledge to benefit themselves
Sincerely,
*** ***

I am the cosigner on the loan so it is in both our names

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I have not been kept apprised. I have had no contact from advantage Chevy in over 2 weeks. I have not been apologized to for being lied to about when I would receive my plates. The manager Tim admitted that the company knew about "this issue" from the start and when asked why nothing was done about it prior to selling the vehicle he replied that the employees don't look at the bottom half of a document which would have tipped them off about it. This is a gross negligence on the businesses part for which I am paying the price. I reject this response and I would call it a lie "that I have been kept apprised" when there is no communication, no compensation, and no apology from the business. Yes I received a temp plate. But that is temporary. Don't ask me to accept a temporary solution. Thank you.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Our Used Car Mgr [redacted] has spoken to the [redacted] on Monday morning 1/30/2017. [redacted] has scheduled a service appointment to look into the rough idle and CEL. The windshield was replaced and a rental was provided at no cost to the [redacted]. On that visit we ran diagnostic test and no fault...

codes showed at that time. We were unable to duplicate the rough idle. We appreciate the [redacted] frustration and we will do our best to remedy the rough idle and CEL. Unfortunately unforeseen issues can arise on any vehicle especially a vehicle with 94,000 miles. We will make every effort to locate the problem on the next scheduled service appointment.

Mr [redacted] has been updated on the process to correct a mistake on the title. We have been diligent since the beginning to rectify the mistake. We are currently awaiting the title to be processed by the State of Illinois. We appreciate Mr [redacted] patience.

I talked to GM representative's and $3,200 is the maximum they will participate in the repair. Our Service Director [redacted] told me Mr [redacted] has authorize us to repair his vehicle. We appreciate Mr [redacted]'s patience as we explored all option's available to help him out with the cost of this repair.

[redacted] came in on Wednesday and cancelled her extended service contract. I believe everything is to her satisfaction. We appreciate her business and if there are any other questions we'll be glad to assist anyway possible. Thank You

Mr [redacted] purchased his vehicle in May of 2014 with 68,617 miles. The GM Certification warranty period last for 2yrs or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first. The Certified warranty expired on May 9th 2016 and 80,617 miles. The vehicle currently has 98,429 miles.  Mr [redacted] indicates in his...

complaint that he has spent nearly $4,000 in repairs since his purchase almost 3 years ago.. Our records indicate he has spent $589.62 in traditional maintenance work and $1,607.47 in repairs. Unless possibly he has had repairs done at another maintenance facility.  On Dec 9th 2016 we did several repairs and maintenance work on the vehicle. Cooling system pressure test, replace leaking coolant hoses, LF wheel bearing replacement and a Lube.Oil & filter change. On February the 28th Mr [redacted] brought his vehicle in with a Check Engine indicator light on and stated it was low on coolant. When doing our diagnosis and pressure testing of the coolant system it was determined that the cylinder head was cracked allowing coolant into No. 1 & 2 cylinders causing a misfire thus the Check Engine light coming on.Mr [redacted] states in his complaint that he feels Advantage Chevrolet should be responsible for this repair. ($4,339 estimate ).We don't feel as though changing coolant hoses and servicing the coolant system over 2/12 months and 2,298 miles earlier would cause the head to crack. It's possible that his problems in December was a precursor to the head cracking 2 1/2 months later but the head was not cracked in Dec. of 2016 when we did the coolant repair. If it was we would have let him know. Mr [redacted] has been a loyal Customer. He has purchased 2 New Chevrolet's and 2 Pre owned vehicles. We appreciate his business. We wanted to find a way to get him help for this situation. We reached out to Chevrolet to ask for assistance for Mr [redacted]. Typically Chevrolet will not do any Customer goodwill assistance on vehicle that was not purchased as a new vehicle by it's current owner or a vehicle that is so far out of it's original warranty period.  Our initial request was rejected. We pressed on and went to great lengths to make a case to them that while this vehicle was not purchased new Mr [redacted] had purchased 2 new Chevrolet's fairly recently and is a loyal Chevrolet owner. Chevrolet came back to us and agreed to assist in the head repair. Chevrolet will cover the cost to repair over $1,000. Essentially saving Mr [redacted] approximately $3,200. This type of assistance is uncommon. When we passed this info onto Mr [redacted] he said he was not satisfied. The goodwill assistance provided by Chevrolet has a 30 day activation period. Time is of the essence If Mr [redacted] wants to move forward with the repair.

As Mr [redacted] stated this vehicle was sold AS-IS. No warranty. A vehicle like this doesn't get a 110 point inspection like our vehicles that have a warranty. AS-IS vehicles are priced accordingly. There is an inherent risk when purchasing anything without a warranty and I beliver Mr [redacted]...

understands those risk. With that being said it is always our hope that a customer doesn't experience an issue when purchasing an AS IS vehicle. In this case there was an issue and even though we had no obligation to do so we paid $4,800 to repair Mr [redacted]'s transmission. He paid $562.00. I believe that we went above and beyond in trying to make an unfortunate situation better. Thank You with this matter

James I have looked into this matter. I apologize for the confusion with the rebates. GM has multiple rebate options depending on your residency. It can be very confusing.  We set Internet prices to be applicable to 99% of our Customer base which is the Chicagoland market. I understand this is...

frustrating to Customers who live as far as you do from our primary market. It is also very frustrating to us as well. With that being said If you want to purchase the truck for the listed price we will honor that. I mailed your gas card to you so you should receive that in a few days. Thank You James and I appreciate you reaching out to me.

Mr [redacted] has been kept apprised on the...

status of his title returning from the State of Illinois. Mr [redacted] has been issued another TRP from the state while we await the title. As soon as we have received the title from the state we will expedite getting the hard plates. We will notify Mr [redacted] as soon as we have received the title from the state.             [redacted] VP Variable Operations Advantage Chevrolet 115 West South Frontage Road Bolingbrook, IL 60440   Direct #: 630-226-3905

Ms [redacted] has filed a complaint with GM (GM CERTIFIED). They have asked us to send them information so they can make a ruling. We fully intend to follow their recommended findings and resolution. As soon as we receive their ruling we will pass this info on to the Revdex.com. We appreciate your help in...
