Advocate Construction issues craftsmanship warranties after customer pays in full. This project had a $75 balance that...

was cleared on 11/22/2014. After a $0 balance, Advocate Construction issued a craftsmanship warranty to Mr. [redacted] on 12/01/2014. We also included a $0 balance invoice that can be used as a proof of purchase for any material warranty concerns.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/12/05) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
First off the reply from business is complete non-truth. I retained $75 for electrical work that had to be corrected to prevent continued electrical shorting. I had to retain a licensed contractor to correct the errors made by Advocate construction. The branch manager approved the change in September and all fees were paid in September. Today I only received the labor portion of the warranty and still waiting the product portion. Huge let down
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/12/10) */
We are very sorry that our customer feels let down. Our manager did a great job of resolving a field issue by working with our customer to discount the project to retain a professional to correct an problem that arose from our work.
Our manager, who was new to their role, took notes of the $75 arrangement but did not communicate with our accounting team to make them aware of that arrangement until November. This is not a non-truth. Once our accounting team was made aware, they quickly credited the project per the receipt and closed out the project.
This customer now has our craftsmanship warranty in hand. He also has a zero balance invoice showing that his labor and material have been paid in full. He must use this to register his siding with the manufacturer of the siding. Material warranties are similar to other product warranties in that the customer must complete a registration form and provide a proof of purchase and contact the manufacturer DIRECTLY. The owner of our company has met with our customer and has made sure that he has registered the material purchase with the manufacturer.
We regret any misunderstanding that our new manager may have caused regarding the material warranty process, but in spite of any feelings of being let down, we intend to stand by our work and have confidence that the manufacturer will stand behind their material as well.

Very impressed with this company! Our sales rep, Zach, was great to work with. He is very professional, responds promptly, and makes the entire process extremely easy from start to finish. We are so happy with our roof, it looks great and has added value to our home and given us a sense of security about our property. From the time we started working with Zach to the time we had a new roof was very fast. Zach takes care of all everything that goes on behind the scenes so it was a seamless process. The crew was great and worked hard on a hot day to get the roof done in one day. They were professional and did an excellent job. I would recommend Advocate to friends, family, and neighbors!

We have a new roof over our home thanks to advocate construction. The entire working process ran smooth and was very professional. Eddie, our sales rep was so helpful and knowlegeable, we feel so thankful for having such a quality company work on our roof, and it was within our budget. Thank You Advocate Construction and Eddie!!!

Advocate Construction of Glendale Heights, Il. did an outstanding job of Roof and Siding replacement for me. I have never posted a workmanship review before, but I feel people should know my story. I was not at home when the work was done on my house, but the neighbors on both sides of me and across the street approached me independently to tell me about the excellent work the crew had done! I was impressed that the three neighbors offered their opinions, all positive.

My house was put up for sale on a Thursday, shortly after the work was completed. I had 3 offers by Saturday. I attribute this success to Advocate Construction workmanship. I recommend them highly. Harold

Advocate Construction would first like to start by apologizing to Mr. [redacted] for the length of time that has passed in our addressing his concerns.  We value prompt responses to all customer’s questions and concerns.  Advocate Construction would like to say that Leo did inform people in the...

company of Mr. [redacted] concerns, but a glitch in our internal communication allowed for a less than adequate response time.  Now that all parties internally are aware that Mr. [redacted] has questions about his recent build members of our production team met with Mr. [redacted] and have come to an agreement on all but two of the issues.  The two remaining issues are currently being addressed by our production team, and we feel that all issues will be fixed to the customer’s satisfaction by the end of this month.

I had a great experience with Advocate roofers. [redacted] did an amazing job dealing with the insurance adjustor. [redacted] was outstanding through the entire process. He was so knowledgable and professional. I was so impressed and pleased with the outcome. I would highly recommend Advocate!!!

Great job on my siding!

Mr. [redacted] informed Advocate Construction and his insurance company of preexisting water damage to his ceiling prior to our work being performed.
After the roof was installed, there was an agreement that we would find a painter to...

perform work to fix the issue on the kitchen ceiling. After all, we are a roofing company and do not do paint work. Numerous attempts were made to find a painter who would resolve their issue. Because the scope of work is so small it's been challenging finding a professional painter to perform the work.
Our proposal to resolve this issue: Mr. [redacted] still has an outstanding balance of $640.15. Take $200 of that balance, have him find a painter of his choice to perform the spot work in the kitchen per our agreement and settle the balance he's had with us since March.

We recently had Advocate Construction replace our roof and siding. They did an excellent job and we'd highly recommend this company. We worked with Tom [redacted] who was professional, friendly and always available to answer questions. The work was on schedule and both crews were great. They were hard working, respectful of your property and always friendly. They all did a great job and it was an overall very good experience.

Advocate was on time for appointments, performed very well and completed the job on the date they said they would. Their pricing was extremely competitive and I would recommend and use therm again.

Response to complaint # [redacted]   Our customer had written with their concerns about billing and workmanship.  Advocate Construction has reconciled both issues with the customer.  After reading the customer’s statement of their problems Advocate Construction set a meeting to look at...

the workmanship concern and address the billing miscommunication. This meeting was set on 7/8/16 the day the Revdex.com contacted us.  Once the concern with the gutter guard installation was known to Advocate Construction it was addressed on the next business day (7/11/16). The billing concern was a simple misunderstanding of how insurance companies are billed and how to read the adjuster summary.  First, it was stated in file # [redacted] that similar size homes in the area had billable amounts that were vastly different.  It was clarified how similar sized homes can have vastly different scopes of work. Secondly, the customers had several billing concerns.  All were addressed on 7/8/16 in a face to face meeting.  It needs to be clear that Advocate Construction does not pay for anyone’s deductible. In this case we were able to offset the deductible with monies given in the insurance estimate for line items not performed by Advocate Construction, as had been agreed upon.   The billing of this project was particularly difficult because there were multiple estimates sent from the insurance company.  Each estimate had 3 different breakdowns.  Listed in different ways so comparing apples to apples took a sit down meeting and line by line analysis coupled with an explanatory call to the insurance company to clear up any confusion. This was done and the customer now understands how their bill was formed, and that it is correct.   Thank you for allowing us the opportunity of resolve this misunderstanding,     Sincerely,   [redacted]

I had a great experience with Advocate roofers. Roger did an amazing job dealing with the insurance adjustor. Jordan [redacted] was outstanding through the entire process. He was so knowledgable and professional. I was so impressed and pleased with the outcome. I would highly recommend Advocate!!!

Had a wonderful experience with Advocate Construction. I would not hesitate to recommend this company. Our 19 year old roof was damaged during a storm, Advocate saleswoman, LaShanda, met with a representive from our insurance company who deemed the damage extensive enough that the roof required replacement. LaShanda kept in constant contact with me regarding selection of the new shingles, permit, scheduling and follow up. She was always available for questions, which was very much appreciated. The work was done in a very timely manner and the property was left in the same condition that it was prior to the start of the project. 5 stars from start to finish!

I highly recommend Advocate Construction. The work they did on our house is excellent and the workers were efficient and considerate. Work was done in a timely manner as well. They are a company that pays attention to detail. The set up, work and clean up were excellent.

Companies that provide excellent customer service are hard to come by these days. Advocate Construction is the real deal. JD my agent, is the most respectful, honest, straight-forward, patient, easy to get a hold of and talk to professionals you could possibly find in this industry. His boss Michael was equally impressive as well. They explained every step of the process and promptly addressed every question and concern I had about my roof. Their construction crew treated my property with care and made sure I was completely satisfied before they left for the day. Being that I work in a highly service-oriented industry myself, I have nothing but positive reviews for this company. The additional 10 yr warranty they give provides you with extra peace of mind as well. Advocate Construction has not only placed a new roof on my house, they have also extended the life on my home. I would definitely recommend Advocate Construction to anyone looking for services in the roofing industry.

Very impressed with this company! Our sales rep, Chris and Jordan, are great to work with. They are very professional and respond quickly when I needed questions answered. They also worked very well with my insurance from the beginning of the claim to the final payment. Now, our house looks great, and we know we definitely added a great value.
The crew was great and worked hard on a hot day to get the roof done in one day. They were professional and did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend Advocate Construction to anyone looking for services in the roofing industry.
